Did anyone ask and did Lebby confirm that the announcement yesterday was basically a confirmation of the identity of the arrangement reported a year ago?
Let's call the Moore's Law replacement the LSD law: Lebby in the Sky with Diamondoids
Bid jumped 10 cents after hours. Give me credit, because just BEFORE the close I sold some shares I had held for ten years or so. Mayve rumors of a buyout at 50 cents or so? Wahoo!
The new patent makes me wonder if each of the foundries Lightwave is working with takes a different approach to applying the polymer, so that multiple patented formulas and processes are necessary to cover the options. I know nothing about chemical engineering, but it seems to me that we see evidence of more than simple tinkering, and the announced commercial agreement seems to prove that the stuff is OK as is for at least one foundry.
What else do you know about the "Dutch Forum" and "SafeCapital?" Was this an investor presentation that Lebby made in Europe? I know there was mention that ML was to meet with some of our Belgian investor friends on the weekend. I knew he was not flying to Belgium just for that, but I have suspected he may have some serious conversations going on with companies in that part of the world. A few more ticks of the clock.
Seems very clear that they are working with foundries to implement the new technology and are constantly finding ways to improve the applications. It may mean they are solving problems that have delayed the work, but it is also possible that they are simply figuring out constantly how to make it better.
up very nicely today, to a new 2 wk high. Glad my GTC order to sell some at $3.98 expired a few days ago!
Yesterday's announcement may set a record for the blend of high enthusiasm and minimal actual contenct!
I noticed that. Tomorrow we will know if it means anything.
best guess is that a large holder sold a chunk a couple of days ago, driving price down after a moderate run, and now a good number of folks are getting on board, seeing potential success coming a bit closer.
Still priced with high yield, even though up considerably from lows a little while back. Earnings report next week, and probably word on whether dividends decreased or suspended. (I can't imagine they will dro[ dividend entirely, but it doesnt seem like they can keep it this high, given recent financial performance.)
Either something positive is cooking in the business and ready to be announced soon, or perhaps some penny stock tip line has recommended ITOX on a whim. We should know more next week.
Good price action today. Jump on opening, quick pullback, and resuming move up, though not back to high of day. I had thought the runup the past two days was in anticipation of news released before today's conference with Lebby With no new announcement this AM, I was expecting at least a small drop. The fact that it is holding higher with no announcement is quite encouraging.
I don't expect to be around in 3023, but I have some hope for gains in the next few months, though probably not enough to make up for my losses on shares I bought over the past two or three years. I added a very small number of shares today as it seems to be recovering from the crater following the reverse split announcement
thanks. will be watching
A number of mentions of Nubis the past couple of days, newer company with one executive formerly of LWLG. Question for those more knowledgeable: is Nubis a potential competitor or potential/present collaborator with LWLG?
I have another theory about why we have no announcement from the company yet (a theory at least half-serious). Perhaps they have two or more foundries ready to announce a new step in partnership and each one wants the right to make the co-announcement with LWLG first. Maybe Lebby will fly all of them out to Colorado so they can make the announcement together instead of Lebby going to Malta or wherever . . . , I've heard less plausible explanations here!
Running naked! Yup, that's what we called "streaking," back in the 60s when I was in college. Great picture of the shorts, as things heat up for LWLG
The conference call did, indeed, display very bullish talk, but so far still talk. Lots of "discussions," "prospects," "projected market sizes," but no real numbers yet. I have not given up on the company, but it sure is a slow starter!
Thanks for all the clues.
Is thIs this another clue with hidden meaning?
Found this in today's press release:
"simplifying production for the foundry's we are working with."
I hate it when people use the possessive apostrophe for the plural!!!!
Maybe LWLG can't afford a good proofreader for their press releases.
Do you think I should sell all my shares? Waiting for advice . . . .
another buying opportunity after today's earnings report. They certainly talked confidently about the future, even the most recent quarter was terrible.
Yup, both a positive earnings repiort and no dividend cut! Good gain after hours and could continue gains tomorrow and for a few days after the massive selloff in anticipation of bad news.
This is priced in anticipation of BOTH a bad earnings report next week AND dividend cut. If either does NOT happen, the stock should move up nicely. Seems most of the bad news is priced in.
I think what happened is that someone made the remark that second half of 2022 also included quarter 3, so the "big" announcement COULD be in quarter 3. Then Lebby said that the current meeting would be mind-blowing, which it most certainly is with all sorts of new ideas and tech tweaks being talked about, and all kinds of exciting networking going on. Did he say there would be a big LWLG announcement. No, but almost certainly, with Lebby making major presentations, people are going to learn more about LWLG and those who didn't already know a lot about the company may have their minds blown. Wishful thinking by lots of folks, including myself, put two and two together and got five. Some folks here put two and two together and got three. The answer may be known tomorrow, but whatever is known tomorrow that is not known today ( and I am pretty sure SOMETHING new will be known) will be only part of the big picture. I am still optimistic about LWLG and would be happy with something that causes a big jump tomorrow, but I am realistic enough to know it may take quite a big longer.
Was last Thursday's big spike up for about 30 minutes a quick short squeeze, an options expiration play, or somebody accumulating a lot, too quickly, in anticipation of good news? Volume has been high for a few days, and "volume precedes price," at least often, but price remains about where it was after recovery a few weeks ago from seven month slump. I have little new info on the company.
Lots of good questions. Not sure where to get the answers. I have had good hopes for this company, but they seem to have incredible problems with completing projects on time and on budget. The last company I was invested in with that problem did not turn out well, but I am holding out and hoping. Sure wish we could know more!
Could be "fool proof" also, as it might silence some of the fools, although I think we can agree that nothing is really fool proof, given some fools' level of foolishness.
The fact that Global Foundries is up over 10% today encourages to believe that confidence is building for a partnership announcement.
good to see the word getting out through more channels!
I would guess that the $5 target was announced before today's news of the failure to meet the milestones on the recently completed trial. I sold most of my shares today and can buy back later if something promising emerges, but I am not holding my breath.
I hope that backlash against the front-running on chip stocks by Nancy's husband does not delay passing the chip bill!
Well, at least we got better volume today. That was supposed to help, I thought.
seems like the longs have made a safer bet!
still here. waited to long to get out after run-up and pull-back. hoping to see a new company fill the shell and create a spark of hope so I can get out with minimal loss
Happy Summer Solstice to all LWLG longs. Only 10 days to "second half of 2022!
that is such a good analysis it is worth continuing, for the sake of less knowledgeable people who may be taking the hit piece seriously. Most of those are not on this message board, so it may need to be posted elsewhere.
I don't see anything particularly new in the 10Q. Still no revenue noted. lots of stuff under development.
Just about my only holding that was up today! Thankful for small favors and hoping for more next week.
Reminds me of a "report" 22 years ago that Netscape was merging with Yahoo to form Net 'n Yahoo.
Please explain what we may have missed or misinterpreted.
