Apple leaves Android users with few alternatives as Texture is earmarked for May 28 shutdown | PCWorld

Now THAT is an indisputable argument!
Occam's razor is neither a principle of logic nor the scientific method. It is used to develop theoretical models, not assign a priori nor a posteriori "knowledge". I fail to see how Occam's razor can "work every time" when it is only used to postulate an assumption. At best, it can only be said that Occam's razor works MOST of the time. Certainly not all things can be explained by their most simple of explanations. Ockham, Aristotle, Aquinas, and Kant would roll over in their graves to hear such a generalized statement as that!!
Let's stick with the allegory of the cave...
For what it's worth, the Android Readr app just reached 500+ downloads in the app store.
How does one buy and hold a revoked stock? I must have missed that in trading 101. Please share -- Your knowledge abounds!
But all three companies received the same extension, it doesn't seem to be dependent on anything that SPCL has done, unfortunately.
Is it just my server or is the http://www.solarispowercells.com website offline now?
This should have been done long ago in order to not attract attention to this shell by confusing pixelmags with Solaris. Maybe its progress. Maybe not.
Excellent analysis, Pug!
Duly noted. Quibble away!
I was just in Portland a few days ago. It certainly was gorgeous. Spent some time in Bend as well. If I can ever part with San Diego, Oregon is a place I'd be happy to call home.
SPCL: He's gone completely incommunicado. I'll make sure to update if he comes back around.
I got caught up at work and missed the HH. Just like real HH!! Feel free to email me at *username*@gmail.com. Please delete this post. Thanks Insta!
SPCL
I was not aware! Thanks for the tip. And here I thought I knew all the good happy hours in town!
SPCL: Insta, if you want, pm me your email address and I'll share his info with you. Maybe your words will carry more weight than mine. Or At least more weight on his back in general.
I know I can't send PMs, but I think I can receive them.
Hahaha...here we go to the breakout board!
Not yet. I'll absolutely keep you posted however.
SPCL's legal counsel has agreed to answering some general questions, obviously with the attorney caveats attached. Anything you'd like me to ask?
Thats a great point!
Which company made it? And how did they manage to succeed where all else have failed? Sounds like an interesting case study.
Good point Glenn...So we've been inundated with statistics about the 98% that don't make it past the greys...lets talk about the other 2%. Why glaze over that minority just because it's a minority. We all know the majority of Pinks are scams but felt this one was different, so why stop now... Who DID make it out of the greys and under what set of circumstances?
With all due respect, and much is given with your expertise in CE stocks...Missing a deadline isn't equivalent to robbing a bank. Are we truly comparing negligent management with criminal behavior?
For what it's worth...since the conversation here clearly isn't dead...www.readrapp.com still hasn't updated the website to include availability on Android...and the app has yet to exceed the 10+ downloads mark. I can see both pros and cons to the reasoning behind this. Anyone, without a snarky comment, care to theorize?
Thank you!
Same background wall in picture too
And that is the source of my gripe.
How does taking away access to trading my shares 'protect me'?
We'll said B13. There's plenty in this world to enjoy. Don't anyone ever forget it!
The points you raise are critical parts of the story here and I, for one, don't think the story is over. Spoke to an esteemed member of their legal counsel today and while wasn't promised anything (obviously), he confirmed it is an internal issue that they are attempting to rectify. Long story short; the lights are still on. How it ends, however, remains to be seen.
He replied to me as well. Nothing substantive, but a reply nonetheless. I can neither sell nor buy more at this point, so I don't see the rationale behind responding to investors under anything but good faith. As always, waiting to see how this mellow drama plays out, for better or for worse.
.::Google Play Store update::. All other pixelmags' beta Readr apps are gone. For the first time only the ONE early access app remains. Maybe they dont want to create any confusion when the announcement is made. Could tomorrow be the day? TOMORROW is the 2 year anniversary of the share agreement taking place between Pixel and Solaris...
Cheers!
Good morning SPCL! It appears the Readr EARLY ACCESS has been removed from the Google Play Store. I'd say there is a strong chance that when it returns it will be the final version.
Just because you acquire a shell, doesn't mean you're ready to start trading. Am I wrong?
For an IPO, yes, I'd agree. But not necessarily for a reverse merger. Let me ask you this...based on your correspondence with Neil, did it sound like he was trying to promote/solicit SPCL? Didn't he confront you, rather bluntly, about the stop sign? Now, I wasn't a part of that correspondence but the take away from that for me was that SPCL is still very much a work in progress and not yet to the point of promoting to would-be investors. Thoughts?
IMO they're not ready to solicit investors. Hence the stop sign and general non-disclosures that they've held to for oh so long. The long held hope here is for a ticker change, stop sign removal (becoming current with financials) and only then will they promote the company and subsequent stock of the newly minted pixel holdings. I don't think there is any lack of shortsightedness regarding this on corporate's behalf.
In your or anyone's experience, is pixelmags legally bound to include that statement regarding 'wholly owned subsidiary'?
Hoping for a concise answer here, thanks.
Woohoo!!!
Along this line of thinking, what, in your or anyone's opinion, does a buyout of this presumed magnitude look like in terms of PPS?
Thank you for putting every ounce of my feelings towards this in a simple sentence. Very well put.
All the streamers have long since fallen off the pom-poms...but I'm still shaking the handles!
