Any idea why the divergence in the chart between VLKAY & VLKPY?
I'm thinking about getting PY, but would like to understand why the difference between the two.
Thanks.
I don't think ANYONE will be buying AAPL on Monday.
And, I won't be selling my AAPL on Monday either.
VERY interesting! Thank you.
I have an aversion to gold/silver ETF's because it's my understanding that a huge percentage of their value goes to fees each year, so... Short of buying physical gold, how does one get into the market - gold stocks, commodities, etc?
Thanks again.
How does one "lease" gold?
Thank you.
"Continued selloff tmrw at open or u think FSLR can pair losses?"
"Pair" losses? Is that like "pare" losses?
I think MNTA needs to lobby Congress to make sure the FDA doesn't give away the value of our stock by revealing information that MNTA's shareholders have paid for.
FCX completes acquisition of MMR (June, 2013):
http://theadvocate.com/news/6151854-123/mcmoran-exploration-acquisition-approved
"Phoenix-based Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc. has completed its acquisitions of McMoRan Exploration Co. in New Orleans and Plains Exploration & Production Co. in Houston.
The McMoRan Exploration transaction was completed Monday and the Plains Exploration deal on Friday.
The $19 billion in deals gives the global copper, gold and molybdenum mining company a portfolio of oil and gas assets and re-unites McMoRan Exploration with Freeport-McMoRan. The two companies have about 165 employees combined in the New Orleans office, Eric E. Kinneberg, director of external communications said in an email..."
That's a fair point.
As you well know, sasi, your "predictions" cover all possibilities, such that they are no longer predictions, but are rather a way to make you look knowledgeable. They work well when you point to the one that matches reality - IF one ignores the fact that you're all over the map otherwise.
In addition, deleting posts and ignoring people because a) they point out your flip-flopping, or b) disagree with you, or c) note that you are not "moderating", but rather controlling, are not signs of a good moderator.
“It would show we could not only work in sugars but also in peptides,” Wheeler said"
Yes, but the arena where MNTA really needs to have success is in the courts. MNTA's "picket fence" of patents surrounding their generics means nothing if the fence is smashed as easily as it has been.
I'm not as heavily in MNTA as I used to be, the option premiums stink, and am seriously considering getting out.
I welcome any and all thoughts - and express my thanks ahead of time.
You just can't take criticism, can you? This board is about the free exchange of ideas and viewpoints - get it?
I've read some posts/articles that suggest that iPod mini sales are cannibalizing sales of the full-sized iPod, but even after my visit to the Apple store today I'm not so sure that's the case.
At the store the only minis which were availble were the 64GB black, with cell access. The full-sized ones were available across-the-board.
One can interpret things a couple of ways (at least): 1) cannibalization, or 2) insufficient mini supply.
Knowing that the mini has at its core the iPad 2, I question the cannibalization angle, unless it's a new Apple customer - and bringing a new customer in the door is never a bad thing.
As for existing iPad users, why would one want to go backward in capability - and would a iPad 2 user get a smaller version of what they have rather than a new iPad? I don't know.
Of course, sometime this year I have no doubt that Apple would put out a more powerful mini - leading to even more sales.
Comments appreciated.
Well, $519.33 wasn't the over $525 that I predicted, at 9:45 this morning, but I was pretty darn good, if I do say so myself!
And of course it was considerably better than some posting fiends!
We're going up into the close, btw. Close at $525 or more.
IMHO tax selling will largely be over, and people looking forward to next year (or at least the first few days of next year) may not be willing to take a chance on it going lower next week. They'll want to get in on the "ground floor".
Of course we shall see...
If, near the end of the day, AAPL is still down, watch it go up like a rocket.
Close $525 +
We're going up from here!
AAPL will close at > $525.
The world heard it here first.
It's the battle of the short FUDsters vs those who see things as they are.
We want FUD! We want FUD!
You AAPL game-players make me laugh.
I predict AAPL will close at $521.73 today, give or take a penny or so.
I'll get back to you Saturday with my secret plays for Friday.
