Welcome, I too am glad that wasn't something I was holding!
We had a nice day starting out today - this is just more idiots who can only buy and sell at the bid. There was opportunity to move this stock this morning.
This and every other stock is being killed by the crappy trading habits of those who trade within a limited range. The one and two tick wonders we see all too often making the market even crappier for trading.
If I were you, I would wait and watch unless you are day trading.
You are talking about a company with a new Charter, and now they seem to be owned by the IBT, with the IBT being able to appoint board members. ( International Brotherhood of Teamsters )
Depending upon the board members they install, and depending upon the direction of the company with decisions coming out of the board from this point forward, this company may or may not survive.
This is, of course, only my opinion, but the IBT is known for decisions that are pro teamster, not pro company. I believe we are now going to see if they know how to run a company, or how to kill one.
I think CSTI set it high until he was ready to open at the bell is all. BTIG is the one to remove from the ask, and we had good opportunity to move this thing up both yesterday and today before BTIG showed up again.
Problem is that until something happens there are no willing participants to keep ask pressure up only to have it driven back down again.
From the way it reads, they will deny the appeal due to public interest concerns
Hope that edit clears that up folks, sorry
Sorry TBE, I was responding to a question regarding something else
According to this section of the 8K, they did appeal:
Item 3.01. Notice of Delisting or Failure to Satisfy a Continued Listing Standard; Transfer of Listing.
On September 12, 2011, YRC Worldwide Inc. (the “Company”) received an additional staff determination letter from The NASDAQ Stock Market (“NASDAQ”) stating that, based on the closing bid price of the Company’s common stock for the last 30 consecutive business days, a deficiency exists with regard to NASDAQ Listing Rule 5450(a)(1), which requires a minimum bid price of $1.00 per share. Pursuant to NASDAQ’s broad discretionary authority under Listing Rule 5101, the staff determination letter determined not to provide the Company with a compliance period of 180 days generally provided under the Listing Rules, and that, accordingly, this matter serves as an additional basis for delisting the Company’s common stock from NASDAQ.
As previously disclosed, on July 22, 2011, the Company received a staff determination letter from NASDAQ stating that the Company’s common stock should be delisted because the Company issued Series B Convertible Preferred Stock, 10% Series A Convertible Senior Secured Notes due 2015, and 10% Series B Convertible Senior Secured Notes due 2015 at the closing of the Company’s exchange offer and related restructuring transactions in violation of NASDAQ Listing Rules 5635(b) and 5635(d) and because such issuance raises public interest concerns under NASDAQ Listing Rule 5101. The Company has appealed the staff’s determination, including its determination with respect to the closing bid price deficiency, to a hearing panel pursuant to the procedures set forth in the NASDAQ Listing Rule 5800 series.

I'm ex Navy - I don't use a life jacket except for the scariest of storms, LOL
I'm in on that
Not amazing - if you look at the president's history so far with spending money, everything he touches turns to crap! Midas he isn't, LOL
Here's a couple of stories on it Mick, sorry cannot find a ticker symbol for them:

Happy Birthday Prof!!!!
CSTI @ .48 - crazy L2 if we could get some buying going on here, could really get interesting quick
Now ETMM @ $3 They leaving early for the holiday?
sad but true - its everywhere. probably why I don't post as often as I could anywhere, lol
See you in the morning and good trading to us! at least we have EXTO while we see what develops on lgfty.
If you get a chance at some point take a look at SMKY - I own shares of that one and have for a while - its a longer hold, but going places. its a few bags for me already, but won't sell until I hit 10 bags @ .60 which is very doable
Shame to lose you on the other board DEEJ - letting that other guys posts succeed in keeping you off the board isn't a good thing - enough of those constant negative posters take over boards or stop good posters from posting is a loss for everyone. Yaboy came on with the intent to do damage, others seemed to get a different take on what you wrote and accused you of things I just didn't see. Looks like a lot of crap, but none of it was actually about the stock.
I say you don't let anyone stop you from posting anywhere.
DEEJ - You know I post there too, but it wasn't about that - freedom of speech is one of the rights I fought for and believe in. I do not enjoy comments from those who could not or would not serve, or comments denigrating the service that we provide, but in your post I saw comments about our government and that is not the same thing. It is our right and duty ( in my opinion ) to to speak out against our government if we believe it is doing the wrong thing.
Here's hoping for a better day tomorrow for LGFTY and continued good days on others!
FWIW - I don't think DEEJ_Money said anything worth a ban - in my opinion he insulted the government, not anyone's military service. I know DEEJ well enough from a couple of other boards and have never heard him make an attack on anyone because of their having served in the military.
I also know DEEJ to be a credible trader who rarely winds up in angry dialogue with other posters - look at his history. Our negative nancy shows up and creates the usual chaos on the board inflaming people already losing money and others wind up responding emotionally - it happens all over IHUB.
Our focus on this board is LGFTY - we had a few hours of emotional posting on an ugly day for those of us holding positions here. I was fortunate enough to add to my position, but I am also still red with a .64 avg, which really was not the highlight of my day.
FYI - I served my country proudly - Navy Hospital Corps for those who want to know.
2:20 am in Bejing
closer to 200K that I could see
green and looking for better! Won't take much to take us higher - just need folks to start trading at ask instead of bid
Always shows up after a great day to predict doom and gloom, and never misses a chance to scream dilution

TBEagl's post:
Bayport website info update
Rare Earth / Mining
Quote:Rare Earth holdings may be the most financially significant division of Bayport. Bayport now controls a tremendous amount of Rare Earth Elements (REE's) in the northwestern portion of the United States and Northern Canada with our new association with a mining company in Newfoundland. This company likewise owns a vast amount of REE's in northern Canada. Bayport has entered into a Letter of Agreement with a prestigious Wall Street firm, to do a best-efforts $50,000,000 IPO for the myriad of rare earth we control.
Bayport's current mining claims consist of numerous locations in the western United States. Our primary aim is to be a significant player in the rare earth market. We will also pursue gold as well as other precious metals. Bayport is currently negotiating with several mining companies and individuals to increase our presence in the mining community. Rare Earth and precious minerals and metals are very strategic and critical for the United States military, defense welfare and many new inventions. More details will be released when available.
Oil & Gas
Quote:Bayport has agreed in principle to combine their oil and gas division with that of a Texas oil & gas company to form a more complete division, combining their landmen and field personnel with our own oil & gas team. Bayport will have an oil & gas field office in Diboll, Texas (between Dallas & Houston) and an extensive oil project in Gaines County, Texas.
This division will actively pursue leases and oil & gas drilling opportunities and will likewise pursue saltwater disposal well projects throughout the United States and Canada. The CEO and President of this company have agreed to become directors of Bayport Corporation as well as heading up our Oil & Gas Division. More information will be made available soon.
Food Processing / Sales
Quote:
Bayport Corporation through it's subsidiary Mill Co-Packing LLC, of Tennessee, will process and sell Lou's Louisiana Shrimp with six different sauces. Mill Co-Packing will also process local crops in middle Tennessee to sell nationally under our brand name and as private labels for others. Mill Co-Packaging has secured sizable loans from local lenders and the USDA will guarantee $1.8 million for utilizing Tennessee as it's headquarters. Bayport's seafood sales will utilize lobster pounds in Maine, processing plants in Louisianna, Alaska and the Cost Rica-Honduras areas of South America for wholesale distribution. We have currently chosen to discontinue retail sales, at least through the summer months, and may discontinue all together if wholesale sales are as anticipated. Randy Mayne will supervise our entire food related project and has agreed to become a director of Bayport.
Some of the new projects that Bayport is currently working on include:
New Projects
Quote:1. We have an option on a 1,500 acre resort in the state of Maine. This project currently has ski facilities, a 9-hole golf course, riding stables, 40,000 sq ft clubhouse/lodge, utility and road infrastructure, a chalet and snaw making capabilities. The project has been approved to build 1,600 condominiums. Maine has just begun gaming opportunities. This property is valued at $10 million. It is Bayport's intention to take this project public and thereby receive a percentage.
2. We are in the process of obtaining 51% of this entity which owns patented paint formulations. Ford Motors has helped in the testing of these paints for the automotive industry and has determined that they will reduce heat in automobiles up to 30%. These same paint formulas when utilized on metal buildings will reduce internal heat by 20-30%. These same formulas have been tested for use in fingernail polishes and will last for weeks. Dillards, Nordstroms and Macys have all expressed an interest.
3. We are currently working with a group that has numerous cosmetic formulations. One item, Skin Protech, utilizing a formula that protects skin from chemicals up to and including hydrochloric acid. Other formulas include health and wellness products and cosmetics. The skin protech formulation sold $10,000,000 in Japan alone. It is anticipated that national and international distributors will be located and signed in the near future.
Just copied it from the website but holy crap. :o
