300K is only $9K at this price.
Can someone explain to me how I direct news alerts to a specific Twitter Account?
I currently have 2 Twitter Accounts and the news alerts are going to the twitter account I do not want.
On this page:
News Alerts
...when you enable "Tweets" on the above page how does IHUB know which Twitter Account to send the tweets to?
Because the Email Address I have specified on this page is not the Twitter Account the news alerts are going to.
Is there somewhere else on IHUB that you tell it what your twitter account is?
Thanks.
Hi Sam, thanks.
Yes, I have traded options for a bit and know the basics, however have never been very successful. I believe i got very lucky with 1 a year ago and made quite a bit; pretty much all others i have lost; pretty sure I am negative over all now. lol.
Question. The AMD options I had expired on Friday just past. I believe I bought them for .03 avg and by the end of Friday they were at no bid so I just let them expire. Would you have rolled these out to a later date or do you just let these type of ones expire (no bid)?
Hoping to contribute here and learn, but unfortunately my day job gets in the way of daily monitoring. I am able to place the odd trades while working if I get the chance, but it is hard to multitask a lot of times.
I did try trading a few options from the stp chart setups; some worked out well; others no so much. For some reason had better luck with Calls than puts, but I think that was more coincidence. I have more to learn it seems :)
Looks like you are getting the scans nailed down :)
Take care.
Nice Job Sam :)
I am in the AMD options Not looking too good ATM. Lol.
Thanks Sam.
Looks like my archaic platform does not have this option.
Would have definitely helped in cases where some of mine jumped huge the day after expiry (total loss to some nice gains)
Ahh. That explains it...
The Captain must have that option.
Commissions are killer over here in Canada ($1.25 per contract).
I am still washing the deck so I need to sell and rebuy :)
How do you "roll" options further out Sam?
Sell them and rebuy? (only way i am aware of)
Hi Sam,
I always wondered how to determine potential future price of an option. Looks like you have it figured out somehow.
Is there any easy way to do this?
That $20 outperform was back before the price drop.
For example:
Yep, I don;t have enough to plunder them, but will send a few shots across their bow.. :)
Thanks Sam. I had a plan to get some this morning but lost focus until i saw your post. Grabbed a few @ .08.
I see it crossed around 2pm. So that would be a good exit?
Thanks Sam, yes, I looked at the full chart with all the other indicators and my head hurt :) lol...
Ok. Thanks Sam.
So I guess what you are saying is I did it correctly?
And SLV I would have bought yesterday around 3:30pm and sold around 11:20. Is this also still in an STP?
Hi Sam,
Looking at the GDX 10 minute chart..
I would have bought yesterday around 2:30pm, but would have sold this morning around 11:50 am.
Are you saying it is still in a STP?
If it is still in a pinch, can you point me to the components of the chart that shows this?
Thanks, chris.
Thanks Global.
Yes I've figured out at least that much.
I started playing with the scans in StockCharts. Was trying to see if I could set ups some scans for detecting potential STP's. I then found out Stockcharts only does scanning based on the daily bars so I am out of luck there.
So I guess it is a manual process to find potential STP's then?
ie:
1) Load in a bunch of symbols in a Chartlist tonight.
2) Apply the stylesheet that Sam shows to all the symbols in the Chartlist.
2) Go through them all and see which ones look like they are forming a potential STP.
3) Save those potentials to a new Chartlist for tomorrow.
Tomorrow during the day just keep refreshing all the potentials to see if 1 of them forms an STP.
Is that basically it?
If this is what everyone does, surely nowadays there must be a platform available to scan realtime data for 10 minute bars to look for STP's happening, no? Think Or Swim has a pretty powerful language. Wonder if they offer real time 10 minute bar scanning?
Hi Sam. Just stumbled on your site and thought the STP looks very interesting so I thought I would try to "learn" it over the weekend.
I have a couple generic questions first (related to the IHUB "Intro" information to make sure I am on the right track and then focus on some finer points if you don't mind?
1) I read through all the "Info" information (about 10 times) and it looks like everything you need to understand is summarized in the section at the end (the "Update:"), correct? My questions are going to relate to this bottom section...
2) Your directions for 1.A and 1.B.:
Are statements A and B correct? To me it looks like the reverse is true? For example Looking at the SNAP chart you have posted, @ 10:30am the middle PPO Blue line connects to the Top PPO and the Price has started to go up. Looks like you are saying the Stock would go down in this instance? Maybe I am not understanding what you saying?
Thanks, Chris.
Exactly my thought. He has set this all up. Anyone think it is just a coincidence that as of now it looks like his "affiliates" own the same amount of shares being offered in this second offering. I bet his affiliates are the only ones that are going to get any of these shares at $2.75. They will then once again have majority voting rights to do whatever they want in the future.. It's quite funny actually.
Thanks Ash. Sounds good....
Ash, have they indicated if they harvest every week or do they harvest once a month, etc. I would think it is a critical piece to truly figuring out how much revenue this company might be generating. Don't think it can be assumed they harvest every week? Any idea?
You cannot look at the I.B. link from week to week / day to day to see how many shares are currently shorted.
Example:
- I buy 50K shares of SIGO
- I.B. will show there are 50,000 shares available to short.
Note - It will ONLY show 50K shares available to short IF i have signed their agreement to allow my shares to be shorted. If I did not sign their agreement it will not show my 50K shares available for shorting..
- Next day I sell my 50K shares.
- I.B. will now show 0 shares available to be shorted because my shares are no longer in the pool (unless of course the gut I sold them to is from I.B. and he signed the agreement)
So this does not not mean that someone shorted 50K shares; just means my shares are no longer available to be shorted.
So you really cant say that because the Shortable shares dropped on IB, that means they
Lol, how about this stat.
If you bought a million $ worth back in 2007, today it would be worth $.03.
That's right 3 whole pennies...
DRYS was over $180 million per share (yes per share) in 2008.
The definition of insanity is to expect the crooks running this company to do anything differently if the SEC continually allows it.
Someone should make DRY's the poster child of wall street. unreal
And they are illegal.
First person who fires a nuke.. Kiss the world goodbye.
Not exactly sure here, but God might just frown on you calling people a Fool.
IMO of course and just a quess as I cannot read God's mind.
Folks saying there is $35 million in toxic financing that took place mid-last year? Dilution happening?
Chicken Dinner! Congrats.
Thanks Ash. Feel like I need to be a lawyer to read these things sometimes.
Can anyone summarize what the Prospecus just filed is saying?
Prez will be spending big on infrastructure. That requires some big ass bulldozers. Then he can move the mountains..
Looking bleak for miners again today
Gold looking pretty good right now. Lets see what happens tomorrow..
I checked in today at some point and saw it up a bit, was like, right on! I agree, if volume comes in this is going to move. G/l
Looks like support is around $1207? Still early, but gold looking like lower again tomorrow. After that any idea what support is after 1206 / 7?
In Canada years ago I remember there was supposed to be something in place that Companies could not not charge that much interest.
I think that policy lasted for a couple months to a year if I recall.
For the past several years at least they have been again charging 21 - 26% interest.
I love credit cards; I am one of those that charge EVERYTHING to my air miles card and then pay EVERYTHING back when the bill comes in so no interest.
Its interesting when it looks like I am not buying anything (from my bank statement) and then 1 day a big withdrawal to pay for all the credit charges.
Most people cannot stick to that plan, though. If everyone was doing what I was doing, credit cards would not exist.
Should be no way companies are able to charge that much interest. Every company now has a credit card here in Canada; before it was only the Banks..
40K of that volume was mine :(
Joined you here Mark..
Well, if that happens I am ready. I dumped 1/3 of my gold holdings.
Funny out of all the gold holdings i had the only 1 i was up on was uamy.
