The joint's already burning so to speak. There is no AG in the world that can reinstate prohibition at this point. Large scale production has already begun across the country and billions are at stake. This train won't stop. It's just a matter of who gets to drive it.
Yeah I couldn't help but grab a few low 80s. It looks like the sector is picking up and the fruit is low and ripe here.
Any company that runs thousands of percent in a matter of months will be investigated by the SEC. That would include just about every company in the MMJ sector. Just saying..
Unless they already loaded, have picked an unrealistic target to hype, and sell into the momentum they help create. I've seen this tactic applied frequently by MR and noticed they are implicated in the SEC report. I'm sure some people do well with the timing but most end up as suckers.
Good. I hope they go down hard. Tired of seeing "sell on the way up to lock in profits" from guys that are front loading and selling into their own hype.
Give the grow debate a rest. TRTC is a company built around indoor agriculture. It doesn't take a marijuana expert to grow marijuana and TRTC is well suited to handle cultivation. Debate the finances or ethics or whatever else but disputing their ability to grow just sounds like stupidity.
It's about risk mitigation. I think it's disingenuous to suggest that their disciplined trading habits are a sign of a lack of confidence in their legal perspective. No one knows the future.
For an admitted newbie you seem very sure of the outcome here. You reference your post history but it just looks like you bought high, sold low, and are trying to convince others it was the right decision.
The OTC moves on speculation and manipulation. What everyone expects to happen is usually the opposite of what actually happens. If PHOT manages to get off the greys then it will likely pop big regardless of financials.
Ha! Classic.. It really is a mystery..
CEO and wifey need to buy back some shares. The timing of their sells sucked. Otherwise most retail will liquidate, flip, or sit on the sidelines until the investigation has provided some resolution. Only a select few would average down a long position under these circumstances. Just my opinion
I think most will find some support around their 200ma but this has really shaken things up along with the recent downtrend in the broader market. Until a few more states legalize I think people are only going to cautiously dip toes in the water on big drops. The SEC has stolen the momo. I was pretty spread out in the sector and sure as hell didn't see PHOT coming but was glad to have closed a few positions after CANN got canned. A lot will depend on how many more get taken out and how they recover from it.
Katsuyama is just saying what traders already know and the floor's reaction to his "its the market's responsibility to fairly price trades between slower participants and faster participants" comment in the full video is very telling.
Otherwise, BATS needs to take O'Brien out of damage control because his flustered attitude makes him the clear loser.
Yep.. and a quick review of posts shows ZERO credibility
Added some 3s today. Still green and holding firm. The legal hurdles havn't changed and a new bill to wind these down is just fluff for shorts, thieves and blowhard politicians
Scared money makes none. His comment was BS full of nothing. Cover already
Definitely a road trip. He should get a model S and save some gas
Yet every other state in the union has figured out how to make it work. Nothing like going around your ass to get to your elbow
Sure Christie.. why don't you force everyone to buy Radiohead albums through the RIAA too you frikkin ass ..
And we're still just scratching at the surface
Ha! I missed the 60s for the very same reason. Caught the high 50s on the way down and glad I did but funny coincidence nonetheless
Any stock that runs hard attracts shorts. I'll take that 400+% "trap" any day. Sykes is just the ebb to the flow and an investment is only destroyed when a loss is realized
TRTC getting ready to bust a move? Nice consolidation and volume.
40% sucks. But thank you for the 400% since your group covered
Looking pretty well timed now
Very true. Good to see some independent resiliency in the face on this mornings negativity. I read over your shoulder from time to time so keep it up
Thanks for keeping it real OE. There's always an ebb to the flo.
Good buy on those 420s .. nice psychological support for this sector ;)
I know that feeling well. I sold half at 34. Still hanging onto some 13s but not nearly enough to make me proud if it pops big.
Trading around a core can be good and bad. Sucks to watch the core erode back to cost but sucks more being left when it moves up to new levels. Hang in there bud.
Always people late to the party. It consolidated twice already on the leg up from 13 so we should have some nice support at 30 and 25 but it really needs to close above 37. Today will be telling
CANN is quietly busting a move here
If it looks like spam and sounds like spam..
Must be lunchtime
Nice pop to get out. Had to hold my nose on the trip back to low 1s but rewarded for patience.
TVIX has me a bit hung up though. Data says one thing.. market does another.. irrational exuberance is an interesting stage of mass market psychology
Yes.. because clearly fundamentals have been driving this emerging market. *sarcasm
Nice article to head into the weekend with pro-mj superbowl campaigns in effect. Just need a few shorts to bug out. EOD bump?
Yes. Unfortunately, this is remedial math.
Momentum... side of fries with that?
Colorado lit up the whole sector and that's just the first domino. Big waves and rough surf ahead.. and that's why you're here.
C'mon man. At least get your percentages right.
Down 50% is pps getting cut in half
Down 100% is pps going to zero
Down 150% isn't mathematically possible
Seems like splitting hairs with semantics. To say they aren't a weed company because they're not currently selling products with THC in them is just silly. Hemp -IS- marijuana and any legal reform that allows for marijuana cultivation will benefit MJNA.
Nice close with volume the past two days. CES could be a game changer here.
Ha! Love the last paragraph. Well put.
