I see that but find it strange !! Anyway, LONG AND STRONG HERE FOR 4TH QUARTER. GOOD LUCK ALL
WHY THE ZERO VOLUME ? ANY THOUGHTS APPRECIATED
Any opinions on why there is zero volume today ??
Cryptics, with all due respect, you could easily write an email to the president Dr. Horst and he will tell you FIRSTHAND that this is a Class 2 and not a Class 1. When there is a facility inspection, its always a class 2 !!
Keep in mind that even though its a Class 2, this company has MANY things going for it!!!
Good Luck Longs and enjoy your memorial day!!!
Im hoping 2.50 by the 22nd and blow past $4 on approval. Time will tell!!!
Good Luck add
I say a late Rally to .84

FCSC & IGXT

HOLD ON FOR THE RIDE!!
SPPI IS HEATING UP
Record Earnings, thin float, only 52M shares outstanding, 95 Million cash, potential buyout rumors, a pending FDA approval after hours, an excellent pipeline, collaborations and HUGE Short interest.
Do we have another BIG WINNER HERE AT THE $HEFF STATION..
Stay Tuned...
TLON to SPPI - FDA DECISION TOMORROW
All indications to me look like an APPROVAL.
POSSIBLE BUYOUT ANNOUNCEMENT TO FOLLOW??
Good Luck
AFFY 6.36 - UPCOMING CATALYST
April 26-30: Affymax and Takeda to Present Additional Peginesatide Phase 3 Data in Dialysis Patients at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF).
2Q: submit NDA, FDA advisory committee review, and initiating a Phase 3b to evaluate the process and outcomes of converting dialysis centers from a three times a week ESA to a once monthly ESA.
This same pattern happened to SPPI. Most investors try to chase the pps up.
The smart and patient ones buy when nobody wants to touch and wait for the big pay day especially when fundamentals are very sound.
This is a company with ZERO long term debt. This is rare find in the biotech space.
Target near term PPS is around $14. Check out it for yourself.
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.pn...
From CEO March 30th letter in Annual Report (pg 4):
"The top priority for us in 2011 is to submit the NDA for peginesatide to the FDA in the second quarter of the
year. If all goes as planned, the FDA will accept our application for filing approximately two months after
submission, and begin their intensive review process.
This could position us for potential product approval and launch some time in 2012."
Do your own DD. here are some helpful links.
1. new data will be released on 4/27 at conf. Nobody will go to a conference willingly to announce bad data. It just does not make sense

2. All analysts have a buy rating with over $10 as the target.

3. A group of investors just bought $50M shares at a $5.9. They know the potential. History shows that major investors usually end up making money on such deals.

4. The down days have light vloume once again indicating that most long term investors are hoarding their shares.
I dont know yet but i will look into it for you
Nilbud, I have owned SINA from 82.64 and BIDU from 76+. Im in for the long haul with these.
Look out for the next chines IPO, RenRen - May 4th. It could be a homerun.
Good luck

PLX & IBIO
Thanks to $heff and many of the board members, we are anxiously awaiting the approval of ULYPSO on the 25th of the month. Like many of us/analysts believe, this leading drug candidate has a great chance of approval.
As a shareholder of PLX and IBIO ( $5.50 ), i wanted to make you aware of a this lesser known but very intriguing company called IBIO. I think we see some very nice movement here in BOTH leading up the the 25th and beyond.
READ:
iBio Inc (IBIO), a $150 million market cap company out of Newark, Delaware that is backed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the US Govt (DARPA) has developed a real paradigm shifting technology platform called iBioLaunch. The iBioLaunch™ platform uses transient gene expression in plants for superior efficiency in protein production. Advantages include significantly lower capital (more than a 90% reduction) and process costs (more than a 90% reduction), and the technology is designed for infectious disease applications or proteins where speed, scalability, and surge capacity are important. To give you an example, with conventional bacteria or mammal cell production techniques it takes 12-16 months to produce proteins from start to finish. iBio can do it under 5 weeks. It can cost upwards of $1 billion to construct a conventional facility to produce proteins. iBio production facility is under $100 million. iBio’s core operational focus is on biosimilars, biobetters, orphan drugs and vaccine discovery, development, production and licensing.
iBio has a strong IP/technology portfolio (4 US Patents, 11 more pending, and over 50 foreign patents pending) and through its ongoing partnership with Fraunhofer USA Center for Molecular Biotechnology (FCMB) will continue the development and refinement of the technology for various categories of biotherapeutics. iBio’s relationship with FCMB, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and DARPA is very unique and creates a beneficiary (iBio) that is truly set up for stock appreciation. The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation and DARPA have provided $70+ million in non dilutive funding to FCMB, and iBio owns all the IP that comes out of FCMB. It is the perfect Not For Profit and For Profit set up as iBio has a minimal cash burn ($1-1.5 million per quarter) due to this set up.
The only other company with a similar type of technology is Protalix (PLX) which currently commands an $800 million market cap. Protalix is currently awaiting approval of its lead drug candidate, taliglucerase alfa, with a PDUFA date of 2/25/2011. Protalix is producing proteins using plant cells but in isolation. PLX uses poly bio reactors and derivative of carrot cells in isolation. IBIO uses no bio reactors as the plant is the reactor. IBIO has much less CAPEX and quicker growth from start to finish with higher yields due to the patented vectors delivering DNA to plants to grow the proteins. Both IBIO and PLX are great platforms and the first breakthroughs in manufacturing and production for over 40 years, but iBio’s OPEX and CAPEX are much lower. IBIO can produce almost all protein therapeutics where PLX can’t and PLX can’t produce vaccines currently. iBio’s IP advantage is being able to circumvent patents held by competitors on the use of cells in isolation to produce recombinant proteins, because the iBio approach relies on transient expression of proteins in whole plants, and does not involve cultivation of cells in isolation. This said I believe iBio benefits greatly from any PLX success as it will bring awareness to iBio.
iBio has transitioned itself from “science project” over the last several years to commercialization and business development in 2010. With a fully operational production facility up and running in Newark Delaware, iBio is just starting to license out their platform. As you can imagine the interest level is likely very high from countries, big pharma, and other potential commercialization partners. The company announced just last week a commercial license and product development agreement with Fiocruz/Bio-Manguinhos of Brazil for new Vaccines. I think this licensing deal is the first of many that we will see throughout 2011-2012.
i have attached a link written by the ONLy analyst covering this stock but that is going to change VERY QUICKLY if and when PLX gets the FDA approval.

Good Luck all and again, great job all around.
I guess either way is good, higher we're making money, lower we can add. Time will tell.
Good - I think we start the year off with a bang with DEPO. I own alot here and would love to add more in the 5.20's if we ever see it come down again.
I'm still long here looking for a nice earnings pop late january - early February.
Are you still long DEPO?
HGSI - Sorry BFR. Who ever said two minds are better than one. LOL
Good luck here and i think we r good!!
HGSI
I think we have to wait until opt's exp and Monday we should see a nice steady rise in PPS.
My guesstimate is that we end next week in the mid 27's or higher.
GL ALL
HGSI
First time on board, long time stock holder.
We might be in the early stages of a breakout above a symmetrical triangle formation. Good Sign.
It will be a great sign if we go green today and test the HOD. VERY BULLISH EVENT.
Look forward to sharing information together on this MB.

I hope the link works. I sometimes get this wrong!!
Agreed buddy. We'll see high 4's next week.
Good Luck
HGSI - DAY TRADERS ARE DONE SELLING ON HEADLINES. WE GO GREEN TODAY
HGSI - ITS A BUY HERE
I just picked up January 26 call options. I think we are heading back up to the high 20"s this month.
Good Luck all
HGSI
I agree Knulp. I personally didnt expect this reaction right out of the gate. With the overwhelming vote on safety ( which to me was the biggest hurdle ) i expected high 20's today if not 30.
If the FDA approves on Dec 9th and there is no delay, i think the stock will settle in the high 20's for a bit. The next increase in PPS will come from Buyout Rumors.
In any event, it was a HUGE win for the patients and that was emotional enough. In the end, HGSI's share price will/should be much higher than here.
I am truly truly happy here for LUPUS PATIENTS throughout the world. It cannot be a more exciting time for HGSI, the patients, Dr's, The Foundation, etc...
They are all very blessed today and the truth is, its all about them, not us!!!
Thanks G@D the panel was human and did the right thing here!
Enjoy the night everyone and i'll be back in the morning ( maybe a bit hungover )
KNULP - I WARNED YA : )
Thanks RON, DEPO IS NEXT : )
CONGRATS TO ALL THE SUFFERERS
HGSI - WE HAVE A WINNER
i COULDNT BE ANY MORE HAPPIER FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED!!! WE DID IT!!
HGSI 10 YES 5 NO ??
Are we in the clear??
BIDU
I am still concerned with the overall market but i am looking at an entry point of 98 - 99.
I think we close under high 22"s low 23"s today.
Lets see if we hit it this week.
DEPO
Great stuff BFR. I am going to try and buy as many shares as i can here. i have a nice position already but i want to make it much more sizable after HGSI gets approved : )
WFR
BFR, this one should certainly do well for us both technically and fundamentally over the next 45-60 days.
I am holding through earnings on February 3-4th.
HGSI - Why Im confident
After reading the briefing document over and over, i can honestly say that i am still very happy to hold my shares in HGSI.
The FDA clearly states that there is a need for effective therapies of which there is none currently. They acknowledge that benlysta is effective for some race of people over time and that clinical trials have certainly proved this.
Here is part of the FDA meeting and HGSI on Tuesday morning (ALL IN MY OWN WORDS OF COURSE )
HGSI - "Mr/Mrs Rheumatologists, basically if what you are telling us, Benlysta is not 100% safe or effective and that possibly would cause you to VOTE NO? If so, can you tell us a drug that is 100% safe or effective? Drugs have been cleared by the FDA to meet the needs of 100"s and 1000's of ailments, before and during our lifetimes. Each of these drugs/medications etc.. are not the 100% answer to EVERY PATIENTS disease. Our point is, Benlysta like any other medication, might not have 100% efficacy for ALL patients as per your findings. You have found that Benlysta has done more that any other treatment has for the last 50years and beyond. It certainly has shed the light and has shown TREMENDOUS progress with patients along with opening the door for this medication along with many other added therapies to help increase the day to day lifestyle of millions of individuals. By no means are we saying to approve Benlysta because there is no other hope. What we are saying is that you need to approve Benlysta to not only provide hope, but to shed the light on the pharmaceutical industry across the board - that this medication is the start of something major for millions of lupus sufferers.
Like any other medication, there has to be advancements over time due to the ever changing lifestyle/effectiveness/population and this is where it should begin.
Panel : TBD
Suicide ??? Talk to someone with Lupus about how debilitating the pain can be. Suicidal thoughts are for real whether they have taken a medication or not - Don't you think HGSI is ready to meet this concern rather easily.
HGSI - "Mr/Mrs. rheumatologist, does this Panel truly believe that these patients ALL OF A SUDDEN have suicidal thoughts? Can you honestly tell us, this panel, or any one of the millions of people with this debilitating disease that you believe that these suicidal deaths had everything to do with this medication and NOT with the pain and suffering that they have to do deal with all of their life?
Panel - TBD
If you don't think HGSI can explain this to the panel, if you don't think the reward outweigh the risks, if you don't believe that the FDA has enough information on their hands to change the way we look at Lupus, then obviously, don't invest here,
I for one, am a big believer in HGSI and what this company will do to help many people in need, TODAY!!!
All of these statements are all my opinion and please do your own DD and invest wisely.
Good luck if you are invested here or plan on taking a long position now or in the future.
As always, good luck in whatever investments you are in.
GN
NICE PLAY BFR!!!
Keep WFR ($13.00) on your screen over the next 60 days. With an early February earnings call ( which is expected to be stellar ) i expect the stock to sit in the range of 17 - 18 after the call.
I have just taken a starter position with more shares to follow in the coming weeks.
Keep up the good work
DEPO
RP, Thanks for the post. As i have been saying for several weeks now, this company is worthy of the recognition it is starting to receive. I have been following this stock for several months now and this is my recommendation as we move into 2011. This will/should start our New Year off with a bang.
I will follow up with my complete analysis over the weekend.
By the way, are you "THE RON POPEIL OF SET IT AND FORGET IT" : )
