https://otce.finra.org/otce/dailyList?viewType=Symbol%2FName%20Changes
Interesting how this one has only 2M shares out and jumps quickly.
Could be an interesting Uranium play if the sector heats up again.
GLTA & JMO
Weird. There are only 7M shares out.

I wonder if the uptick in Uranium is finally going to give this one something to tout.
Up 46% on 5K shares.

Atom Energy Signs Earn-In Agreement For Pls Property
Atom Energy Inc. ("Atom" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has entered into an Earn-In Agreement with Unity Energy Corp. ("Unity"), pursuant to which Atom can earn an 80% interest in Unity's Carter Lake Project in the southwestern corner of the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan. The Project covers 1,113 hectares on the Carter Lake Corridor, an exploration zone adjacent to the Patterson Lake Corridor, which hosts two of the most significant recent discoveries in the Basin: NexGen's Arrow Prospect and Fission's Patterson Lake South (PLS) Deposit.
Lying approximately 21 kilometers northeast of Fission's PLS discovery, the Carter Lake Project borders Alpha Exploration's Hook Lake Project to the east and ground held by Cameco to the south. The principal exploration target is approximately 4.7 kilometers of subsurface conductive anomalies, identified in a 2006 MegaTEM survey and a 2008 VTEM survey, both completed by ESO Uranium Corp. The anomalies are interpreted as a conductive horizon, at or above the unconformity and which may be indicative of hydrothermal enrichment. Basement depths are estimated at between 400-500 meters, within the general discovery range of the McArthur River mine.
Regarding the Carter Lake Project, Atom's new CEO Clive Massey commented, "We are extremely excited about making this strategic PLS acquisition, a new direction for us. We're anxious to begin working the project immediately by drilling Patterson Lake sub-surface conductors, following on Fission and NexGen's success in the area."
Under the terms of the Agreement, Atom can earn an 80% interest in Carter Lake by completing $3,000,000 in exploration expenditures and making a cash payment of $350,000 within 4 years. The Project is subject to an aggregate 2.0% gross over-riding royalty payable to the underlying vendor.

ATHABASCA URANIUM TO CHANGE ITS NAME TO ATOM ENERGY INC.
2014-11-13 18:51 ET - News Release
Athabasca Uranium Inc. will be changing its name to Atom Energy Inc., effective at the market open on Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2014. The company will also change its trading symbol on the TSX Venture Exchange to AGY.
Initiated by new management, the name change is part of a new direction for the company that includes the recent consolidation of share capital, a reduction in the company's existing exploration commitments and a refocus on its more-prospective uranium properties in the Athabasca basin. Athabasca Uranium chief executive officer Clive Massey stated: "The launching of a rebranded UAX 2.0, combined with the recent revival of global interest in uranium and the rise in the spot price, positions the company well for 2015."
Concurrent with the change of name, the company will also launch its new website.
Something has her riled up this morning.
Was up 140% earlier on good volume.
Interesting.
GLTA
Fingers crossed. Anything under .05 is a good buy to me.
slowly gravitating back to pre-RS levels...I'll buy a few when it hits 2 cents again LOL
oops and a 50% haircut right off the bat...probably not bottom yet...
Yep. Was waiting for that.

Patience is the key to Uranium plays. I have a handful including this one which I believe is the sleeping giant. Time will tell !
Someone has been accumulating at these levels.
U is due to bounce back and when it does watch out.
GLTA
Carl, i think you are being senile. Lets not throw rocks until there is some sort of resolution. Then you can say I told you so.
Well it is a nice message but it always said to be necessary when they "consolidate". It still means moving your money into their pocket no matter how you slice it. If you are a major holder maybe you can survive. Most of the others can kiss their money goodbye.
Here is a message from their website...
http://www.athabascauranium.com/images/Message-from-the-President-Jun-5-2014.pdf
Glad they gave us an update. Hopefully, we can weather the storm.
GLTA
Because the motive for the potential RS means we are working on funding and will be starting our drill program to prove up our assets.
U is poised to bounce back hard.
Bubble? Not sure about that. Lots of money still on the sidelines.
How in the world can a company put out news that they have oked an RS if and when desired and the stock go up on that news? The market on all fronts is one huge bubble now IMO and we all better watch out.
The TSX/TSX-V have pretty stringent corporate governance rules in place. This isnt the pinksheets.
Lets wait and see what they do before passing judgement.
Maybe they will surprise us. I happen to believe they are all of sound morality and dont want to destroy shareholders. They have made all the right moves for the greater good so far.
GLTA & JMO
OK but everyone knows (especially management) an RS wipes out the majority of penny stock holders. Most do not have the numbers to withstand an RS and tend to buy pennies with small number of outstanding shares. To announce like this with present os is really underhanded.
Not sure I completely agree with you carl.
Sometimes an RS is neccessary. On the TSX-V the minimum private placement is .05/share so its hard to raise capital this way when the share price is below that threshold.
Nothing is imminent. I think they are just covering all their bases and weighing all options.
We should hear something soon hopefully as to what the plan is.
From what I understand management has been busy and has been working on reduced salaries for some time now.
GLTA & JMO
The term consolidation used in this early manner just means they will consider consolidating your money into their pocket. To even mention an R/S makes them crooks in my book.
Potentially there could be an RS. I think they are just covering all the bases prior to securing some capital/financing for the completion of their drill program this summer.
I believe they need $3M to fully fund the drilling program and prove up targets. Which will seem like a drop in the bucket if the targets are as good as they are expected to be.
There is also a possibility the may get a JV or some kind of equity financing and the RS wont be necessary. In the current landscape of Uranium juniors they need to keep all their options open.
I am holding as I see lots of potential upside here at the current PPS. I do have a stink bid in below .02 if it gets down there, but I doubt it will.
GLTA
Does consolidation mean a R/S? With only 65 million outstsnding? Can u shed any light on this, please?

Its fast asleep!! I really thought it had all the makings of becoming a world class deposit and it still might but, if we do not raise capital and the drill program does not start soon, its pretty much time to say goodnight! Has anyone heard anything? GLTA
Talk about asleep!
I guess but it is a shame. I really thought this one had some potential. I wish they would pr a few things to clear up what is going on.
time to dump & head for the exit
It was stated the max would be 10-1 but would be determined by management. I believe it may be less as they are looking to double the share count in order to raise capital.
The funny thing is that in the circular they said tried to say that all shareholders will retain their proportional % of shares, which is true. Thing is they dont tell you about the potential dilution and how that will reduce shareholders % of shares.
It was a bit of a slap in the face as management thinks shareholders aren't too bright. In any case its up for voting. Shareholders can veto the RS if they want.
JMO & GLTA
I agree, watch out below.
I did not receive it. While I understand the split to raise money, especially during these times. But, a 1-10 is ridiculous ! The management has been awfully quiet and seems to be avoiding particular questions. I had asked Todd about raising money and he never mentioned a split of 10-1. This will go sub penny !
Are you serious? With only around 70M outstanding I thought we would be safe from crap like that. Did "Todd" ever mention anything like that to you?
Just got the circular. Looks like management is seeking to pull an RS. Up to 1 for 10. Likely due to raise some capital for drilling this summer.
I know it will take some time. U spot prices need to strengthen considerably but tend to move quickly as well.
At .03 I would be buying.
At .01 I would be buying UAX with both hands.
I think its going to be a while now before UAX starts moving. Once Japan starts some of their reactors it will begin to climb. Without news this will sink back to .01-.02. Could be a buying opportunity depending on where Uranium prices head. Hopefully, Todd and the gang have something planned during these tough times.
LOL.
Thats what this board is for. All questions and comments welcome. :)
I was really wrong, thanks for that info. Got confused because they were mentioned in the same article about the valley. Another reason I don't call Todd is I am not smart enough to ask any really intelligent questions.
UAX is not in the Sheslay Valley.
Not sure why you feel that way. I have spoken with Todd a few times and he is very candid with info. Every Uranium jr needs cash, but UAX is capitalized until the end of year. I believe they are looking for some funds to complete their drilling program which they should be starting this spring/summer.
Nobody is trying to get anyone to buy anything, if that was the case the company would be pumping out a bunch of fluffy PR's. That would be a big red flag to me.
Im curious as to why the Sheslay valley keeps being brought up here. That is a BC area for metals mining, and UAX has claims in Athabasca region of Saskatchewan for Uranium. Unrelated.
GLTA & JMO
I have-mailed Todd a couple of times and he immediately answers back "Call me toll free". I appreciate that but I just feel he is going to try and sell me on buying a bunch of stock. This outfit is probably really in need of ready cash and if they had some could probably hit and publish some great news. One trouble is the "Valley" is full of "Todds" IMO and investors do not know who to finance first. You notice D and BMR has not even mentioned them during their trip to Sheslay Valley, (wonder why?).
Is this based on anything are just wishful thinking? Is there anything else going on besides looking for Uranium? There are so many excellent prospects in the Sheslay Valley I am concerned about whether this was the one to concentrate on. I liked the Uranium thing as sort of bottom floor and seemed to be a little wait before gold looks important again. Oh well, IMO of course.
I expect news to be coming in the next month or so. Company is working on a few fronts according to IR.
GLTA
Need update of some kind. Awful quite here as "Valley" seems to be coming alive.
FYI: UPDATE 1-Cameco earnings jump on uranium shipments, Bruce Power sale
By Rod Nickel
April 29 (Reuters) - Uranium producer Cameco Corp reported a big jump in quarterly earnings on Tuesday, boosted by higher deliveries and the sale of its interest in Bruce Power Limited Partnership.
For the first quarter, earnings jumped to C$131 million ($118.80 million), or 33 Canadian cents a share, from C$9 million, or 2 Canadian cents in the year-ago quarter. Revenue fell six percent to C$419 million.
Adjusted earnings, excluding the sale of Cameco's interest in Bruce Power and other items, were C$36 million, or 9 Canadian cents a share, up from C$27 million, or 7 Canadian cents.
Analysts, on average, had expected adjusted earnings of 10 Canadian cents a share on revenue of C$472.77 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.
Cameco said on Jan. 31 it would sell its interest in Bruce Power, a partnership that operates one of the world's largest nuclear generating facilities in Ontario, for C$450 million.
Cameco's uranium sales surged 35 percent to 6.9 million pounds in the quarter, while its average realized uranium price slipped 4 percent to $46.60 per pound. In Canadian currency, however, Cameco's average realized uranium price rose 5 percent to C$50.58, due to the weakening of the Canadian dollar.
I think you are correct. Ashburton Ventures is out with great news today. This Cheslay Valley group of stocks is looking better and better.

Athabasca Uranium Inc. is a Vancouver-based junior resource company focused on uranium exploration in the Athabasca Basin of northern Saskatchewan, home to some of the highest grade deposits and mines in the world.
Athabasca Uranium's strategy is to acquire and develop conceptual and early stage exploration opportunities and, through the use of cutting edge technology and geological understanding, advance towards resource development through the creation of strategic alliances or joint venture partnerships with major exploration and mining companies, investment funds and government agencies

Applying Science
In 2001, Leonard Van Betuw founded Kinetex Resources Corporation as an “applied sciences" company rather than just another seismic company, by designing and bringing to market (with ION Geophysical of Houston) a new generation of seismic sensors - digital accelerometers called VectorSeis, incorporating advantages in miniaturization, digital signal capture, much higher resolution, and true spatial wave capture - basically a better mousetrap.

Don McCarthy Property
The Don McCarthy claims (S-110884 & S-110885) cover 7,584 hectares (18,580 acres) and lie 40 kilometers east of the MacArthur River Mine and 29 kilometers southeast of the Cigar Lake Mine (both owned by Cameco Corp.) on the eastern edge of the Athabasca Basin in Northern Saskatchewan, the heart of uranium in Canada.
The Company owns 50% of the claims with no encumbrances save a 2.5% net smelter royalty. The property acquisition constitutes the Company’s Qualifying Transaction.
In 2007, a 4,600 kilometer airborne Tempest MAG/EM survey was flown over the Property to test for the presence and extent of graphitic zones that can host uranium mineralization, as well as to map contacts and faults on the property.
The results of the survey were extremely positive, mapping several large conductors identified at shallow basement depths that were coincident with magnetic lows and with faulting on the property. The survey also showed the northern and northwestern parts of the area to exhibit higher conductivity for the most attributable to conductive cover. A smaller area of higher conductivity with increasing conductivity at depth can be seen near the southeastern corner of the block, coincident with a small elongated magnetic high.
