You just have to start to chart the cash level which he posts often enough. Just do it. (means lots of reading and lots of manual work...)
Larry,
the second black arrow is related to what you call Zeev's neutral stance posted on 10/06. As the text above the arrow says, the bear suite he put on 09/21 went back to the cleaner that day.
I prefer using his own words so far.
Kirk
I am just trying to use Zeev's current feel for the market
as Indicator #8
It may work out, it may not.
Just added %gain from long at 10/14/04 (close) to the chart.
Was he calling a top, like saying go net short, or was he saying to hedge 30% of a portfolio by shorting 30% via QQQ?
You did a nice graphical representation, but I wonder how we could show asset allocation as he seems to increase and decrease it...
FWIW, you have to really admire how Zeev puts it all out there for free for everyone.
wecus
(1)Where is the post for that second black arrow from the right? In Oct 2004 ?
(2)Zeev indicates 10/6/04 was a call going to neutral, not
a sell.
I like your new bull icon!
I was thinking about something similar for a while but to keep things in a one-view-chart I'd add a traffic light instead to reflect Zeev's current stance. (Please note that the arrows are reflecting Zeev's calls already)
There are some other reasons I prefer a different solution but I can't go into them right away as I'm about to leave...
I hope this opens a discussion about what the chart should be looking like as we are running into the end of this years timescale.
Thanks for your input
Andreas
oh - so the two marks are kind of like examples, not actual calls. ok, that makes sense.
NO NO NO
I am asking some one to provide these TOP and BOT dated
where Zeev made his calls
according to your chart, Zeev called a "top" after $COMP dropped nearly 300 points...? and a "bottom" after a 100+ point run...? haven't been over to the board in ages, but that doesn't sound like a Zeev type pattern.
sd
I am looking for when Zeev calls a top or bot.
Zeev called a bottom on 10/6/04 ??

As I said yesterday, my bull horns are back on, though I expect some serious volatility. 1878 is not out of the question, but with us printing 1900 earlier this morning, I can take a swoon to 1878.
Zeev
Not sure of the meaning. This chart is the COMP or ZEEV's forecast. Are Zeev's tops and bottoms identified??
Maybe the yellow mark is a top forecast and the grey line a bottom forecast?
wecus
How about a "simple" list for Zeev's calls so far in 2004
example:
10/6/04 = bullish
????? = bearish
????? = bullish
I thought Zeev was expecting another pullback by the end of October. How deep and when?
Nice to see that the map is being followed.....first time since May.....
Good job, Andreas. You asked for comments, and I've given it some thought, and concluded that you've done the chart about as well as can be expected, given the circumstances.
Well, well, it looks like we are already off course on the new map. That sure didn't take long...
Thanks for sharing your time. Something Zeev always says is "new lows beget new lows". I believe that is an accurate quote.
So here it is, Zeev's new targets visualized, along with the latest data up to 08/10.

The Roadmap Chart is becoming crowded now, I've tried to organize things through color coding so you can follow the different stages. If you got any ideas for improvements, lets hear them, I'm always open for suggestions.
I want to note that the new time for the predicted top reaches into January 2005. Since I have not expanded the spreadsheet yet you'll have to cope with 12/31 and extrapolate into the future until I'll insert next years trading days. Sorry for the temporary inconvenience.
Please also note that there might be some later corrections to the map. These visualizations are trying to chart Zeev's posts and sometimes I might get things wrong, especially Hungarian ones, so check back in a couple of days to see if there is a 'final' version.
Any witticisms should be posted to whome and where it belongs, I'm just doing a service for the community here to pay back for the freebie ticket I'm riding on.
Have a good week
Andreas
PS: The new targets were posted on Sunday, please understand that I'm not always on duty - that miserable beast called time demands its privacy once in a while and this weekend we decided to enjoy the summer life. Which is what I'm going to do right now, sit on the terrace, drink my wine and watch out for the Perseides Swarm.
Yeah ... rich and fluffy.
Fred
Andreas, summer weather in Silicon Valley is predictable http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/USCA0993_f.html
Gottfried
The last two weeks have made the first appearance of summer in this year and this season is the opposite of last years' Jahrhundertsommer... So priorities are made up easily
Hope it's better in your part of the world - Andreas
Andreas, you have your priorities right :} Gottfried
I had the figures imported on the weekend but then Zeevs new targets came out and I have to redo it.
I had intended to do this yesterday evening but it was just such a beautiful August summer night that I decided to spend my time in an open-air cinema at the pool instead.
I'll hopefully find the time tonight after I return from a dinner invitation (if I dont decide to look out for the Perseides swarm, a shower of falling stars which are crossing Earth's orbit between today and Friday <g>)
So, don't dispair, the map will be out soon...
Regards
Andreas
wecus, I know you are a busy bee but I would love to see an updated map...
the map...ugly, uglier, ugliest....
for those who invest based on Zeev's map, and I won't mention HAUP (lol), poor, poorer, poorest...
Fred, well said! Gottfried
Thank goodness for men of courage, willing to take a public position on a difficult topic, stand by it, and, when necessary, admit an error.
How much better they than cowards, who never put themselves at risk and snipe from positions of anonymity.
And cheers for those who can tell the difference.
Fred
"...but the map is for now out of the window..."

I think the map was out 300 Nasdaq points ago.
Which????
Wecus'??
Or your face?
Fred
So, what brings you here, then?
Hope????
Fred
hawk, I think the map has been worthless for quite a while already.
I agree, if doesn't turn soon, the time factor alone will make the road map worthless. If by August 15 we are not substantially higher than I would say it was almost impossible for his targets to occur. If you you look at his targets and the were we stand per the map on this thread its almost a mirror image. But stranger things have happened.
this is a pretty long stretch for his map - for any map - to be out of sync. mean reversion alone suggests his fortunes should change soon.
Not that I'm aware, I did see a post were Zeev said that if we don't reach 1940 on the Naz by 8/15, then thing would have to be reconsidered. Not looking good after today, tomorrow things could change, for the better or worse.
i don't have the bandwidth to wade through the main board - has the map officially been changed?
Zeev's Roadmap RIP
One more bell...and what does the bell mean...wake up and smell the coffee?
Wecus, I want to thank-you for your mapping work. Being more of a visual learner than an audio learner I'm drawn to your board here. Pay no attention to that anklebiter, I think he/she really doesn't care about my gains/losses or about anyone elses for that matter.
deadbeat
wecus, keep working hard...you need to if you follow Zeev for investment guidance...
redwards, I hope for Zeev that the party does indeed start soon. He must be embarassed by that chart.
Lets get this party started !. eom
Because I'm working hard, sometimes seven days a week, and more often than not time refuses to get out from under the sofa. Pay for it if you want a regular service.
I wonder how often you have to be told..
And, yes, the implications of your posts have started to annoy me. You might consider to stop posting here if you don't like how I handle things.
Andreas
BTW It's a shame that out of all just you were grubbing # 100
