Indeed, I believe their 10K filing and website claims that they do have patents.
Do you think they are lying?

Keep in mind, this is not some stinky pinkie company that has a stop sign on the OTCMarkets.com site advising they're not making material information available. They are a fully reporting, fully compliant with SEC regulations company.

I don't know if their patents are the reason for my tripling my money in the stock, and frankly I don't care.

Their website http://xrscorp.com/ explains a great deal more, but their critical advantage in the EOBR biz (though I'm sure there are others playing catch up) is the idea of using a smartphone to power the EOBR functions. Most EOBR companies require expensive proprietary hardware upfront. XRS uses much simpler hardware because all it does is record required EOBR data that a smartphone can't capture. This lower cost and simpler development environment makes XRS a low cost provider. And as with any low margin business, truckers like low cost.

You've missed the latest filings.
They have been profitable for the last 2 quarters. They acquired their main LOB several years ago and have been building it ever since, spending large amounts on R&D which has kept them in a loss position.
Anyone who followed the financials realized they were headed toward profitability and an inflection point.
It's a solid company, with a REAL business, REAL revenues, and NOW REAL profits.

It didn't hurt that they have a ton of convertible shares at $3 each, though that may limit the upward momentum once it breaks that level.

Meanwhile, I've tripled my money, so I'm happy with it as a solid investment.
