If RPX has us by the short and curlies due to Frank's stupidity that he should go to jail for... why doesn't RPX buy the pantents for a couple hundred million and the companies they are sheltering, they can sue for infringement? We share holders get paid and call WLGC done. Just saying that would be a nice option to get about $1.50 a share.
yes Ben... we need someone to take on Frank and RPX. I think it could be worth something for a good lawyer. Frank needs to go down and go to jail.
I AGREE 1000%, BUT ALL THESE YEARS THE EXCHANGES had no problem trading this fraud of a company that was paying its membership fees? its all corrupt these penny stock exchanges as WLGC and frank has been a fraud and a ponzi scheme from day one. Meanwhile not one one word from the new board in 6 months, i guess them being quiet means they too know that this stock and Frank has engaged in securities fraud and the goal is to wind down this pig of a stock go bankrupt and keep EVANSHAN out of slammer.ITS ASHAME AS PREDICTIVE TEXTING is thriving but FRANK SOLD US OUT with that phony RPX DEAL to simply keep power and try to milk his salary forever.I am not involved with helping the new board as I didnt see eye to eye in the boards wisdom to NOT LOOK BACK BUT LOOK FORWARD so it was obvious that they were protecting FRANK by refusing to investigate the prior RPX DEAL considering that from the 5 million that FRANK BLEW and RPX WENT ON WITH WLGC PATENTS TO MAKE HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WHAT CORRUPTION FRANK SELLS IT FOR 5 MILLION TO AVOID GOING TO JAIL OR LOSING HIS SALARY OR SHUTTING UP A WHISTLEBLOWER SILVERSTEIN AND MEANWHILE THE PATENTS ARE WORTH HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS?????? . I still say that there are plenty young hungry lawyers who for a nice contingency fee would open up the prior RPX DEAL and sue the crap out of everyone, RPX has deep pockets and insurance, AS WELL AS OPENING UP THE PRIOR SWYPE LAWSUIT WHERE WE HAD THE MOMENTUM WITH the judge ON OUR SIDE BUT frank HAD NO MONEY TO PURSUE BECAUSE HE pocketed all and every last drop of cash. It is hard to get to first base without any money and im sure the new board is struggling but the only way is to get lawyers that are not hotshots but have talent and are looking for an opportunity and offer them a fat contingency to start suing on behalf of wordlogic. I tried to help the board with my people but it seems they wanted to go their own direction in protecting frank refusing to investigate the prior fraud so we are 6 months with no comment no update from the new board.
You should care about any reputable exchange that won't take your trade if you have a position. WLGC is as much as a shyster as is the exchange from which that allows it to exist. At least WLGC is not bankrupt, yet... ...that's next. WLGC performance is not sustainable at this pace.
who cares about British Columbia VANCOUVER EXCHANGE SHYSTERS. whats more important is that its over 6 MONTHS and new board has not said ONE WORD .EVEN FRANK said something once every six months LOL
HERE IT IS ->

seems to be a normal bid and ask to me but I did not try to buy or sell.
I don't know. I assume that we are done. I googled British Columbia securities commission. Went to their site and looked up word logic. It said that they had ceased trading with that company for many reasons. Has anyone herd anything?
What does that mean Oakbay???
Tried to trade. We have been shut down by the securities commission!
Why is Frank Nevershine's name and picture still on everything if he is gone? Still wonder why he isn't prosecuted?
Here is your chance frank to dress up as a hero. Could pay back everyone and end this nightmare.
THIS STOCK IS THE BEST PATENTED COMPANY THAT COULD TURN AROUND WITHOUT FRANK... EVERY WHERE I LOOK THERE IS INFRINGEMENTS... THE RPX DEAL HURT... I THINK THE STOCK HOLDERS NEED TO GET TOGETHER AND GET TO COURT AND PLEAD OUR CASE THAT FRANK MADE A DEAL TO LINE HIS POCKETS... $500000 For a $5000000 IS A SHADY DEAL WHERE WE STOCK HOLDERS GOT SCREWED. THE TRUTH IS IN THE BOOKS AND WITH A GOOD LAWYER TO SHOW THE CONNECTION. FRANK SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO WALK AWAY. WHERE ARE ALL THE SMART INVESTORS THAT SEE THE CRIME AND ALSO HAS THE MEANS TO SEE THAT FRANK IS HELD ACCOUNTABLE? IS ALL THE STOCKHOLDERS DUMB LIKE ME WHO RELIED ON SOMEONE ELSE'S ADVICE AND INVESTED MORE THAN THEY WANTED BECAUSE OF THE FALSE PROMISES OF GREATER VALUE... LIES BY FRANK AND SELLING US OUT WITH THE RPX DEAL IS THE REAL REASON FRANK HAD TO WALK AWAY... GUILTY!!! HE ORCHESTRATED THE NEW BOARD SO HE CAN WALK AWAY SCOTT FREE. WHERE ARE THE SMARTER INVESTORS THAN ME THAT CAN BRING THE HURT ON FRANK AND HIS CON? ARE WE ALL STUPID?
WE NEED TO FIND A WAY TO BREAK THE RPX DEAL AND CAPITALIZE ON INFRINGEMENT. WE NEED THE REACH TO GET OUT THERE ASAP. AND GENERATE A LITTLE INTEREST. WITH THE LIMITED FUNDS, WHAT DO YOU DO? SPEND MONEY ON DEVELOPMENT OF YOUR PATENTS? SPEND MONEY ON LAWSUITS ? OR SPEND MONEY ON PR TELLING PEOPLE HOW WONDERFUL YOU ARE? I THINK DEVELOPMENT OF THE REACH IS THE BEST OPTION IF THE PATENT IS ANY GOOD.. OR INFRINGEMENT LAWSUITS IF WE ARE STALE IN DEVELOPMENT.
THE NEW BOARD ARE DOING A LOT BEHIND THE SCENE AND ARE GOING TO MOVE THIS COMPANY INTO RELEVANCY.... WE ARE JUST GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT A COUPLE OF WEEKS OR A MONTH. WE ARE ALL GOING TO BE SO RICH.
The new board so far has been great LOL .Well at least they didnt lie and pump and dump like Frank. The new board and friends have kept me out of loop since I refused to be shaken down for CASH.It looks like Frank and his friends saved him from Jail .Im hoping my accountant will let me take a write off without actually selling since the stock is not liquid and I cannot sell a million shares on the bid or at the market LOL.There was talk that the new board wanted to take the company private since they are funding the TURNAROUND ,I doubt that happens as I would sue them.I have a hunch that the new board is realizing that the ENTIRE COMPANY WAS A FRAUD and not one inch of business was LEGIT.

Just talked to frank. He said he can't talk but we are close. Just kidding. That was his line for years. Haven't talked or herd from him in ages.
Does anyone have any info on what is going on?
R.I.P. WORDLOGIC 2000-2016
Beloved personal ATM of Franklin R.Evanshen. Wordlogic left no survivors.
"You have no idea what we have got here"
I don't understand... 1500 worthless shares drive the stock down. Why couldn't there be 1500 shares to drive the price up? I suspect Frank is still in this and the new board is a farce. Seems to me that not a single change has been made with this so called resignation of Frank the Tank.
Is anyone still here?! We need to do something. The office won't. We also need to attack frank. We have talked about this before but something must be done. Do we know if those press releases were real or did frank make them up. Does anyone want to talk about this?
I hear you brother and agree...especially the part about selling at .22
cheers
I believe a specialist is required to purchase at the prevailing price when someone wants to cash out. Hence, the 700 shares was probably a person cutting their losses before this stock goes even lower. About the changing of the guard (CEO), same stuff as the last The succession was likely planned well in advance. These things rarely materialize out of the blue sky.I think if there was any merit with the Swift-key Touch-Type patent infringement, Microsoft would have bought WLGC simply to clean it up. Microsoft has since purchase several other entities for strategic purposes. The point being, what ever it is the WLGC has, it's not novel enough to make a pimples difference. Signed--"Buyers Remorse" (should have sold at $0.22).
Who buys 700 shares at .0123???? Who would sell only that? That seems messed up to me. Where is this new team? Seems like the same old same old :(
It has been a month since new board and CEO and nothing is happening. How long are we to wait seeing nothing before we realize it is another sham? Polish up a pile of crap and it is still is crap. Replace a con man with more con men.... but hey, lets help out by investing more money like another WLGC poster suggested....
Good to see you return. I still have my shares
You are welcome. Too bad you won't step up.
nor you sir...
Your past input had no value whatsoever. But cast all the stones you want.
Sounds to me like Chinnery is in Ian and shareholder's pocket. Didn't the shareholders already contribute over the years buying stock that has been diluted and deflated? So ya, I want to throw more money at word logic...
Hey Chinnery, can you tell Frank... mmm I mean Ian to update facebook, company website, twitter, and all other social medias since we are social media type of technology?
But thanks for being positive Chinnery. Your input is valuable and makes me feel a lot better about my shares.
Please reach out to Ian Dowding, interim CEO with offer of cash or otherwise. Thanks you very much.
So how can you help? I see no offers from you.
Sounds like wishful thinking but it is a positive outlook as apposed to my constant criticism. However, it is hard to be positive when the stock is at 2 cents and in a really hard position to come back. I do hope the board can turn it around. They really need to make word logic current and on people's mind through social media which has yet to happen.
Thank You Chinnery for the positive update. Lets hope the new board can set the company back on the right track. i would be happy to help if needed.
There is a new board at WLGC, made up of shareholders who took initiative to replace old management and board that was clearly ineffective.
The new team, and a few other large shareholders are using their own funds to keep the company afloat and work on a business strategy. We think there is value in the IP and I am sure Ian will communicate once the company affairs are stable. There is approximately $300k in short term payables to grapple with, some lawsuits, and challenges such as accounting, website, SEC filings etc etc.
The new BoD and CEO are not being remunerated. They are investing dozens of hours and loaning their own money to help save the company, and hopefully provide a positive return for all stakeholders.
The libelous comments, insults, and negativity from several posters and purported shareholders, is disappointing to say the least. Several of us see value in the company and are contributing time and money. Step up and offer help, and be grateful that some individuals have stepped up.
If any of you have taken the time to read the Reach patent application, do so. We are not making the effort for a few pennies. Do your own due diligence.
Well that is a positive Chief. I would like to see Frankie boy behind bars... maybe I will go see him so I can spit in his face.
I emailed Ian and told him I would like to see more updates and media input. His response was that the board will have to examine the everyday stuff with word logic (no mention of requested updates). Sounds like Ian has other pressing things outside of word logic and we are not getting his full attention. This is more of a side venture that is added to his other paying obligations. Just another source of income without having to do much... welcome aboard Ian Evanshen
I received an email from an individual that is very knowledgeable about WLGC. He told me that the statement that Frank made in departing does not indicate that a no prosecute agreement was made between the new management and Frank. I have no reason to not believe what he told me and although I have not had a lot of contact with this individual over the years that I have owned WLGC stock since 2004 I do have respect for him and I hold him in high regard based upon what other people have told me about him. Sincerely, Senior Chief
ollybeak: Thank you for the kind words. I'm still fighting Agent Orange caused medical conditions and as a result of my annual physical I have been referred to a lung cancer doctor that will be running test on me every 6 months because of his concern that the many nodules in my lungs will turn cancerous. Still attending to skin cancer problems but seeing that doctor every 6 months also. I did read on this board where a member intended to file a formal complaint with the SEC regarding fraud by Frank but I have not seen if the person followed through with his statement. I guess any agreement with Frank could include a commitment/agreement that no formal complaint will be filed with the SEC if Frank agreed to immediately step down in which case I ask how would the SEC know to start a formal investigation. Since I posted here and by private email my concern that a no prosecute agreement was made with Frank and the status of Frank's WLGC shares some individuals have stopped communicating with me or so it seems unless they could be on vacation. I have asked myself if me asking these two questions have hit a nerve with some individual(s)? I still believe that the shareholders will be keeping a close eye on new management for any hint of any instant replay of Frank's BS. Sincerely, Senior Chief
Thank you all for recent information.I am neither a lawyer or a citizen of Canada or the USA but here in England , the new board couldn't decide not to prosecute Frank but they could decide not to sue him as it would be a civil matter. However if fraud has been committed, then surely this is a matter for the authorities. Does anyone know if the relevant investigative / enforcement agencies have been alerted to possible maybe even probable fraud by directors of WLGC ?
Keep up the good work ,I remember from earlier posts that Senior Chief was unwell ,I trust you have recovered & wish you well for the future .
bsdelectro: I will have to reserve my comments about Mr. Dowding because I don't know the man and I have not seen any decisions that he has made regarding WLGC. But I do contend that Frank was so bad that the shareholders are going to have a very watchful eye on this new management for any sign of an instant replay of Frank's actions. The data that I highlighted in todays PR does lead a reasonable individual to conclude that an agreement was made not to prosecute Frank so I fully expect the new management to address this issue in a very transparent manner and do so soon! I believe that it is safe for me to say if such an agreement was made that decision will not set well with the shareholders and will not be a good start by new management to convince the shareholders that there is going to be a positive change including the management have a goal of looking out for the shareholders. Also high on my list is what happened to the shares that Frank held? Sincerely, Tuck
I agree chief
Frank can not just walk away without being accountable. Mr. Dowding needs to address concerns we shareholders have immediately. So far there has been no news coming out of wordlogic. Just third party news. Wouldn't it be nice if this communications company actually communicated through varies venues like Facebook, Twitter, news outlets...to create a buzz and stay relevant? They can't even update their own site!! Different board, same results.... Just more money grubbing white collared thieves preying on vulnerable people. I sure hope there is such a thing as karma or hell. No one else is going to stand up for us victims. Mr dowding is on board to line his pockets just like Frank. Once he gets a taste of the money for doing nothing, we might as well just rename Ian to frank. A snake by any other name is still a snake
In addition to it looks like new management has made an agreement to not prosecuting Frank, I would like to know what happened to the shares that Frank owned which if my memory serves me correctly was around 6 million shares. If there was an agreement to not prosecute Frank I fully expect to hear a big Dog and Pony show from the new management to the extent of;
1. Well it was the quickest way to get Frank out.
2. You should just be happy that Frank is gone.
3. If not talked about soon, I expect to hear words on how good it is going to be for the new management to "Reverse Split" the shares to get the shares outstanding down to a more reasonable level.
I fully expect that new management will be watched very closely so any slight of hand will result in appropriate shareholder comments.
I may be totally wrong with what I have said in this post, time will tell!
By this press release it looks to me like there was an agreement not to prosecute Frank which in my opinion is a bunch of crap!

Frank says.. "My final official acts in the capacity of Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO are to relinquish all responsibility of the day-to-day operation of the Company - and, absolve any other parties." So he ABSOLVE'S any other parties??? I don't absolve Frank or anyone else with their corruption. They should be held accountable instead of just walking away with unearned riches and not being in jail. Now we have his buddies running the show and filling their coffers with Frank's left overs of WLGC dead carcass. The only way Ian Dowding and company can be taken serious is if they legally pursue Frank. They also need to show they are moving forward, making progress, frequent updates... basically doing something more than being figure heads just sucking the marrow out of our dead bones.
The first order of business for new CEO Ian Dowding has to be to prosecute Frank Evanshen sending him to jail. I hope we hear something from Mr. Dowding as a formal public announcement regarding the direction he is taking this company. I also would like to know if Frank is connected to this new team in any way, shape, or form. We as stock holders need information and clarity from mr. Dowdie to regain what little faith we have left.
Lets hope this new B.O.D.'s can move this compnay in the right direction. Does nay have info on the new B.O.D.'s?

WLGC
Yes. He drained us dry. That's the way the "free" market is set up, and why P.T. Barnum is often quoted. Sad. Wish there was something positive I could say about WLGC. However, delusions of breaking even, let alone a positive return, are no longer realistic. Even the accountants say the company is not sustainable with the current cash flow. Reminds me of other holdings during the tech bubble burst. I asked the brokerage if they would send me the stock certificates for the bankruptcies, but they had a prohibitive fee. (I was going to use these as wall paper in my shed.) Unfortunately, while I'm generally positive, there is not much hope to see for this company. If you are already in, perhaps there is a smidgen of chance this will turn. We can grumble and gripe, but again, this is what our free market brings us. We all made choices based on a promotion that had risk-uncertainty.
He drained us all and ran this company into the ground. What do you think is next.... I'll tell you, he goes on to promote another lemon and cons others out of their money. He should go to jail but won't cause all us losers just bend over and take it up the poop shoot. There is no savior gonna fixed this mess he made.
Where did you see this. Does wlgc still have an office. Who is going to work for free? I hate frank so much. He played us all. Such a scam. He is hoping if he goes away that he won't be caught. HE MUST BE PUNISHED FOR HIS LIES!

WordLogic Corp. (WLGC) offers a range of licensing options and Joint Venture opportunities, and leverages more than 10 years of advanced R&D to assume its position as a global leader in predictive text input technology. Backed by multiple patents and its predictive engine, WordLogic’s interface is revolutionizing the way individuals and businesses search and communicate on touch screen devices. Furthermore, WordLogic offers a range of licensing options of its technology and patent portfolio.
The company’s technology incorporates proprietary Gesturing™ and WordChunking™ features that accelerate typing speeds while reducing the effort needed for accuracy. This interface increased text input on mobile devices by five times, rapidly speeding communication via instant messaging, text messaging, captioning, email, and information searching. The iKnowU® keyboard uses state-of-the-art patented technology that becomes more accurate with each use, constantly learning about the user’s style and preferences. Utilizing the WordChunking and Gesturing, iKnowU enables the user to chain together phrases and create whole sentences in a matter of seconds.
For the business realm, WordLogic has developed a unique cloud solution to fit the specific needs of multiple industry sectors, enabling enterprises to create a single cloud-based dictionary specific to the company’s realm of expertise or multiple dictionaries specific for individual specialties or departments. This cloud solution creates continuity for users across multiple devices, boosting accuracy and productivity. WordLogic Reach™ enables users to select and insert meeting plans, contact information, and calendar entries from other apps in the mobile device.
Frost & Sullivan recently recognized WordLogic as the recipient of the 2014 North American Enabling Technology Leadership Award for Predictive Keyboard Applications, saying, “WordLogic’s technically impressive product - WordLogic Predictive Engine and its associated products iKnowU® and Reach™ - offers key competitive advantages, such as market-leading word and phrase prediction capabilities, a context-aware advertising model; simpler integration, increased speed and accuracy; and reduced costs. Add to that the significant number of pending and issued patents and you can see how value a package of technology WordLogic has developed truly is.”
Investment Highlights
Technology
WordLogic develops, markets, licenses, and sells its advanced predictive platform software designed to accelerate information discovery and text input. The company’s innovations operate on a wide variety of devices including smartphones, PCs, cell phones, Smart TV, media players, automotive navigational systems, infotainment, and game consoles.
Wordchunking
WordLogic’s technology incorporates proprietary Gesturing and WordChunking features developed to increase the speed at which people can type, as well as reduce the effort needed to do it accurately. WordChunking provides access to other forms of words and long phrases after entering only a few characters. WordChunking can be used to quickly enter complete phrases as well as company-specific information, and has demonstrated its potential to improve mobile text input by up to five times. It works with touchscreen devices, such as mobile phones, tablets, PCs, and GPS units.
WordLogic Reach
Have a business meeting and need to send a colleague essential information stored in your calendar, contacts, maps, and Dropbox? All you need to do is type your message, and when you need to add links and information simply use WordLogic Reach to select and insert details from inside other apps or information sources with a few simple clicks.
WordLogic Reach’s revolutionary patent-pending technology understands the context of what you’re typing and instantly gives you access to the relevant app or data source to retrieve and share information. You’re then able to “reach” into these other sources and pull key information into the message you’re composing.
Rapid Info Retrieval
WordLogic’s patented multi-layer prediction technology can be used to rapidly retrieve data information from a multitude of different databases and network resources. WordLogic is the only company that delivers advanced multi-layer prediction for both mobile devices and tablets. WordLogic’s patented layer technology allows for refinement of searches, resulting in specific search results as easy as selecting an option from a menu.
Reach Advertising Search
The patent-pending technology provides context-aware search – including advertising search – within every app you are working in through the WordLogic predictive keyboard, superseding the need to exit core applications. Users will no longer have to navigate through numerous applications to obtain information such as directions, restaurant listings, ratings and reviews, travel information and other contextual data from Google or other mobile and content sites.
This unique ability to deliver precise and timely context-based and location-aware marketing messages gives WordLogic an advantage in the massive global pay-per-click advertising market. WordLogic Reach is truly the first technology to solve the problem of monitoring keystrokes in real-time in order to return contextual and location-based marketing messages in a timely and efficient manner while remaining unobtrusive and maintaining privacy of the user.
Currently, Wordlogic is developing a version of the award-winning iKnowU keyboard that integrates Reach Advertising Search to create new revenue opportunities through partnerships with online deal consolidator and providers that offer thousands of local deals covering hundreds of cities in North America. WordLogic is expanding their portfolio of partnerships, creating unique opportunities for revenue growth and extraordinarily intuitive accessibility for users. The list of current partners and affiliates, including Groupon Partner Network and YP (Yellow Pages), is growing!
Refine Search
WordLogic’s prediction engine (gesturing) combined with the patented Refined Search technology can serve up layers of information when it matters most, quickly. The text now becomes interactive in the document in real time, consolidating searches instantaneously, ensuring more accurate results the first time!
A key competitive advantage of WordLogic’s technology is that it performs deep Internet searches more rapidly, saving time and raising productivity for executives, their staff, and individual consumers. WordLogic’s software code is built inside the keyboard and not in the operating system – a feature that the company believes is innovative for its industry. With the intelligence built into the software keyboard, WordLogic can immediately search databases for any information inputted on the device, bypassing several steps of the traditional search process by not being restricted to a single application’s scope of information. Each search request is intended to be able to access the entire web universe of available information, providing instant, multi-level predictive search with 50% fewer steps than competitive techniques.
Intuitive Search
WordLogic’s Intuitive Search technology can dramatically change the way mobile device users interact with the web and how they access key word advertisements thus providing new revenue streams for social media and app development companies. Today, with a rapidly growing utilization and dependence on mobile devices, an opportunity exists for companies to generate new revenue from key word searches from their existing customers. This capability is made possible through the WordLogic technology and a partnering company can receive revenue associated with the key word search.
This type of intuitive search simplifies the user’s ability to access web information via mobile or handheld devices, smartphones, and tablet PCs, as it eliminates the need for an individual to leave the application they are currently using, open the device’s Web browser, re-enter the search term, and wait for results. Instead, WordLogic’s technology performs the search as the individual is typing, without the need for an additional application opening.
Multi-level prediction
It is important to note that WordLogic is not simply text prediction like many standard prediction products. Rather, the company’s interface is designed to be a gateway to a wealth of information available at the user’s fingertips. The software works on a multi-level prediction approach, where the first layer is word completion. As a word is typed, the software predicts the word and offers choices. All text prediction products can perform this first-level prediction.
However, one of the defining features of WordLogic’s technology is that the company not only predicts on the first level but further refines predictions and searches with a single click or finger tap. Importantly, the second-layer search and beyond are patented by WordLogic and, to the company’s knowledge, it is the only entity offering multi-layer prediction that can be applied to both desktop PCs and mobile devices.
Dynamic Text
WordLogic software can change data that is formerly static text into dynamic, interactive text. When a term that WordLogic recognizes is typed into the device – such as in a document, an instant message, or an email – the term is highlighted. If the user taps the highlighted term, a menu of choices is presented containing more levels of information related to that term. This information is obtained from Internet and dictionary databases and could include contact information, dictionary definitions, web searches, or Wikipedia entries, or any other information serving website.
Dictionaries
The WordLogic Predictive Keyboard draws upon established, built-in linguistic databases as well as a special personal database that is customizable to each user’s preferences and needs. Thus, enterprise users can program the Predictive Keyboard to recognize and access company-specific information and unique terminology in concurrent databases. The more the technology is used, the “smarter” it becomes – adjusting to the user by learning and storing inputted text.
WordLogic’s software offers support for customized, professional semantic databases and special terminology, such as for the journalism, medical, engineering, scientific, and legal communities. As well, consumers may capitalize on the Predictive Keyboard as an assistive device in situations where there are learning disabilities, such as dyslexia, or where English is a second language.

WordLogic as an Assistive Technology
Dyslexia
It is estimated that between 15% and 20% of people in the U.S. have a language-based disability. One of the most common language disabilities is dyslexia (Source: the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, part of the U.S. National Institutes of Health [NIH], March 2010). As dyslexia is a learning difficulty affecting the development of literacy and language skills, spelling can be very difficult. For over three years now, WordLogic’s predictive text solution has been used as an assistive technology for dyslexia sufferers. While there are other predictive text and voice recognition software packages available, testimonials for WordLogic’s product emphasize the software’s flexibility and intuitive nature versus competing products. Testimonials also referenced the technology’s compatibility with other Windows – compatible software, such as word processing or spreadsheet packages as well as any custom software the user may already be using to assist their communications.
The WordLogic Predictive Keyboard’s ability to display a list of words that all start with the entered information, and then offer several word options as people type, helps dyslexics focus more on their word choices. Further, if typists are unsure whether the offered word is correct, they can simply click the word to access a dictionary database and confirm the definition. Users of the WordLogic software for assistive purposes have stated that it bestows extra confidence in their typing skills.
Cerebral Palsy
WordLogic’s patented predictive text solution has also been adopted to help overcome challenges that people living with cerebral palsy face with everyday written communication. The symptoms of cerebral palsy make daily tasks extremely frustrating and time consuming. As a consequence of the involuntary movements accompanying the disease, sufferers of cerebral palsy may have to type using only one finger. WordLogic’s software has had use overcoming these limitations, and has served as an affordable option for cerebral palsy patients.
Nearly 800,000 children and adults in the U.S. are believed to be living with one or more symptoms of cerebral palsy. Going forward, approximately 10,000 children born each year in the U.S. may also develop the condition (Source: the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, part of the NIH, May 2010). Cerebral palsy is currently incurable and patients must rely on finding ways to manage their disabilities. Daily challenges increase as patients reach middle age, although some individuals are able to continue work and other activities using assistive equipment and adjusted schedules.
