Mussels its a no buy now. A few weeks back , not sure the date Rod returned my call and I missed it. I was going to call him back but didn't have the time. He called again yesterday and I asked if he was going to do a reverse split and he said yes if the share price does not come up. I said how big and he said massive if he needs to meet requirments of another exchange like Amex or Nas. I asked when he feels it may happen and he told me sometime in the first quarter of 2009.

I also asked about the law suit and the price decline and he felt it was an issue at first but is no longer the reason for the price decline so don't expect cash there.I think he Rod as the new CEO would like everyone to blame the old CEO for the price decline and the tough decession he will have to make of reversing this stock.

So everyone be careful and it still maybe a play from here .15 cents to the 20's again but you need to know it is not an investment as I thought it maybe do to this news.

I may look at it at 5 cents to 15 cent play , if it gets there this month , 2009 is to close.

Yes I will be buying for sure. I believe we will get over 1.00 and when that happens I will play it from 1.00to 1.50 then 1.25-2.00. I'm just waiting for better confirmation as to were the CEO is going. I received a call from ROD yesterday morning on my other line but I didn't check that office until an hour or two after he called. I haven't had the time to call him back.It took him a week to return my three calls. I just hope I can get him today. I would have felt better about his purchase if he was the CFO still, now that he is the CEO the 500,000 purchase although nice doesn't hold as much weight as it did with him being the CFO. I want to make sure he doesn't plan a reverse before I buy back in.

I believe we will be over 1.00 soon. I think there will be big resistance close to the 40 cent mark because that is were the CEO bought. That is the area I will sell part of my holdings to try and get back in on a pull back. If news comes , all bets are off and I will chase her. Just incase I will be holding half my holdings so I'm in either way.

BOCA RATON, FL: Westwood One is suing TransMedia Group, along with its client Pompano Helicopter, for $42 million, alleging that both parties attempted to injure the radio network's stock prices and reputation through a series of defamatory press releases.



The lawsuit arose over releases that TransMedia created as AOR for client and co-defendant, Pompano Helicopters, who was then embroiled in a legal dispute with Westwood One.



The complaint alleges that, “TransMedia Group was retained to make false statements about the Westwood lawsuit in order to manipulate Westwood's stock price.”



Tom Madden, TransMedia CEO and chairman, said the company is currently taking legal counsel and plans to defend itself against the charge. He added that it could have wide implications for the PR industry.



“When a large, powerful corporation can draw the messenger into a lawsuit, I believe we all have something at stake,” Madden said. “I really think this could have a chilling effect on all PR firms. . . We were merely reporting from public record on a lawsuit that our clients had filed against Westwood One.”



David Hillman, chief administrative officer and general counsel for Westwood One, declined to comment on specifics surrounding the case.



“We don't fight in the press, but in the courtroom,” he said. “The complaint speaks for itself.”



Westwood claims that press releases issued on October 29 and April 9 made false statements about the company's conduct and inflated lawsuit damages, causing a drop in its stock price and a loss of $42 million in market capitalization.



“[The April 9] press release was intended to scare Westwood's investors into believing that the Company faced an imminent trial for compensatory damages that could ‘exceed' its market capitalization,” the complaint states.



Neither Westwood One nor TransMedia has hired a PR agency to assist them in their current efforts surrounding the case.


An agreement has been reached , that is why the retraction was printed.

Some one is getting cheap shares at 18 cents because the real close price was 19 cents and some would argue it to be 20 cents.
This is the NYSE and the bid was not at 15.5 when that trade was settled for the day. This is b/s as there were 19 and 20 cent trades at the same time.

Sorry I meant ripe for a buyout. The price is so low another company could start buying up all the shares and buy Westwood for a cheap price there by running the stock.
