Stop it before it begins - with Wave.
The UK has set July 4th for the General Election. Why has he chosen this date? Are there things in the pipeline that are going to be to the Conservative's advantage? Should the US give them a little Wave?
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsofts-new-windows-11-recall-is-a-privacy-nightmare/amp/
Microsoft is going to use Bitlocker for encryption instead of Self Encrypting Drives (SEDs)?? Good luck with that!!!
https://www.itpro.com/software/microsoft/new-microsoft-recall-feature-is-a-security-nightmare-and-could-make-copilot-pcs-a-top-target-for-cyber-criminals
Microsoft still cannot get it right - where are you, Wave?
https://hackernoon.com/phishing-in-the-pews-the-hidden-dangers-of-qr-codes-in-church-communities
Is nowhere safe? We need Wave to sort this out.
Methinks, maybe Biden doesn’t want to use Trusted Computing and Wave because he knows there won’t be a need for all of these useless cybersecurity jobs for zero trust and it’s security which is pumped by Gartner and Forrester!! Biden needs a brain transplant or some leader to come in and make some smart decisions about using Wave and Trusted Computing in addition to what they are doing with Widepoint!! I don’t think Widepoint is enough!!! Unfortunately, Biden and most politicians are focused on what’s going into their pockets to buy them more votes and not the security of our country!! Nobody wants to do the right or good thing anymore! Really sad…,
https://defensescoop.com/2024/05/20/cyber-yankee-army-national-guard-lessons-critical-infrastructure-defense/
Why doesn’t the Army listen to Bill Solms and what Trusted Computing and Wave can do? Probably because Biden is thinking about saving Cyber command jobs and not this country’s security first!!! Apparently he may think providing these jobs that don’t solve the problem, but buy him more votes in the short run is more important!! Or he may just be clueless because those in the Army and government are just clueless about Wave and Trusted Computing!!!
https://www.cnet.com/tech/services-and-software/goodbye-password-make-your-google-account-safer-with-passkeys/
Why would you want to store your passwords in a browser (essentially storing it in software and not more secure hardware - TPM)?? Google has TPMs in Chromebooks: why don’t they use the TPM to have your passwords stored in this secure hardware?? Does Microsoft do the same thing as Google by storing passwords in the browser and not in the TPM?? I just don’t get it!!
https://therecord.media/okta-security-chief-cyberattack-lessons-battleground
Bla bla bla Okta!!! Why do companies even bother getting your security after your results??? Methinks, when do you think companies will stop buying excuses from the likes of Okta, Securid and Cisco Duo?? Wave has better security!! Organizations shouldn’t put up with these 2FA ‘products’. Why do cybersecurity insurance companies even allow these 2FA products to be used by insured companies after these products’ track records??
https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2024/03/27/unitedhealth-group-paid-over-3-billion-to-providers-since-cyberattack.html
United Healthcare is using Palo Alto to do their clean up after the ransomware attack. Question: Was United Healthcare using Palo Alto before the attack? Who was United Healthcare using before the attack for cybersecurity? Can you imagine if Microsoft or Palo Alto was being used and it cost United Healthcare $3.3 billion? Plus the cleanup!! Wave Solutions should be used here not Microsoft or Palo Alto!! Jim Cramer said to be kind today!! It’s hard to be kind Jim to all these companies using inferior cybersecurity to the detriment to them and our society!!! Time for you to dig a little and do some independent reporting so organizations don’t get ripped off by the likes of Palo Alto and Microsoft!!!
Widepoint…, Methinks, I think Widepoint/ORC had Wave as part of $100 million deal with the U.S. government many years ago!! As far as ransomware attacks go I read somewhere a long time ago that Robert Thibadeau who worked for Wave was the father of SED (Self Encrypting Drives) technology said that the SED could be used to help stop ransomware attacks!!! I don’t believe that Widepoint has that key piece (SEDs) and Wave to manage those SEDs!! And Wave had major deals to manage SEDs with big well renowned corporations!! Wave being the leader with SEDs should get a lot of new SED business!! The SEDs are hardware (unlike Bitlocker’s slower inferior software encryption) that is built into all computers!! Thank you for your Widepoint post!!’ I thought Seagate sued Wave to get back the SED technology, but Seagate first came up with it on the spinning drives not the SSD (solid state drive) and I think Wave did a lot more with the technology so Seagate should only get part of it since Wave had the know how to manage all different manufacturers of the SEDs!!! I believe Wave couldn’t fight it because they were in bankruptcy!! A judge should help sort this out!!!

Is WidePoint muscling in on Wave territory?
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/critical-fluent-bit-flaw-impacts-all-major-cloud-providers/amp/
WOW METHINKS, check out the companies that this impacts!!! It’s a wonder that Trust @ the Edge of the network with Wave MFA for authentication is not being used over the Cloud!! And if the cloud has to be used I remember when the Trusted Computing Group had the Cloud workshop!!! Seems like Wave and the Trusted Computing Group could have a BIG POSITIVE impact on the future of the cloud!!! It seems absolutely crazy that Wave and the Trusted Computing Group are practically dormant!!! You have to wonder why these companies in this article don’t use Wave or Trusted Computing?? The cloud is a big target and will continue to be that way so Wave and activated TPMs would be better and if the cloud is used the Trusted Computing Group has better cloud technology!!!
Methinks, I just saw the Palo Alto CEO on Jim Cramer’s Mad Money. I heard the CEO say, “Hacks are just a part of life and to double check your stuff” or something to that effect. Well, if you’re using Palo Alto that make sense!! That doesn’t provide a lot of assurance!! Organizations should have gotten Wave Solutions a long time ago instead of getting the cybersecurity of the likes of Palo Alto, Crowdstrike and Microsoft!! And now AI is going to save them all: NOT!!! It’s about time for Wave and Trusted Computing and organizations have to be kicking themselves for buying that inferior security!!
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-11-recall-ai-feature-will-record-everything-you-do-on-your-pc/amp/
Methinks, this is kind of scary because if an employee has inferior ‘data at rest’ security in Microsoft’s Bitlocker, a criminal who steals your computer will be able to do a lookup for anything on your computer!!! Don’t you think that organizations would be better off with more secure SEDs if Microsoft is going to have ‘Recall’ on computers?
https://www.itpro.com/security/cyber-crime/fbi-seizes-breachforums-infrastructure-but-successor-sites-are-already-popping-up
Yes, I agree with the FBI needing assistance and if organizations were using Wave, the FBI could stop playing this game of Whack a mole!! Have you ever seen that game?? The moles (bad guys) just keep coming up no matter how many times the FBI whacks ‘em!!
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/google-attacks-microsoft-cyber-failures-100018703.html
Microsoft could say , well Google we are going to offer better security in Wave that doesn’t need Mandiant for clean up because of its better security!! That’s if Microsoft is smart!! Or Google could add Wave to their package and kick Microsoft’s ass!!! But Google wants to make money with Mandiant so they probably don’t want to do that since Google paid about 5 billion for Mandiant!! Seems like the likes of Google/Mandiant and Microsoft/Rubrik want cybersecurity to fail so they can make money on the clean up!! What a BAD model!! Get Wave and it will kill the need for Mandiant and Rubrik!!
https://www.helpnetsecurity.com/2024/05/20/ransomware-claims-frequency-grow/
More Ransomware - needs more Wave.
Yeah, I'm like the bad penny - always turning up! I am also pleased to see your valuable posts to this board which are always interesting.

Even the FBI could do with a little Wave assistance!

Stop malware NOW - with Wave.
https://www.androidauthority.com/what-is-tpm-windows-3356474/
Methinks, here is a good article on TPMs!!! Why we are not using Wave to activate them at scale doesn’t make any sense!! And Microsoft may not be pushing for their activation because it could kill a lot of their cybersecurity business since it is better security with Wave!!! Maybe the government could give Microsoft a little help with promoting Trusted Computing and activating TPMs!! That was sarcasm: Microsoft doesn’t need a little help, they need a BIG swift kick in the ass!!!
Well said Methinks!! I’m grateful that you continue to post and you don’t give up!! I wish Wave/ESW had that attitude!! I don’t think Widepoint has the Virtual Smart Card that Wave has and the SED management and that is just better than Microsoft’s Bitlocker!! I think it could be a win/win for Microsoft if they went 50 50 on that! with Wave. Bitlocker, I don’t believe generates capital for Microsoft so SED management could be a new revenue stream for Microsoft and the world could have better ‘data at rest’ security and it’s a TCG standard!! Steven Sprague and Wave created technology that Widepoint doesn’t have!! But I believe you are right that Widepoint got a great deal with Wave on some of its technology!! The government should be activating that so fast!!! Biden should be championing Trusted Computing!! I think trust but verify was a motto that Wave came up with, and MAYBE some of this zero trust is worth something. But Wave and Trusted Computing could replace continuous monitoring, and a lot of AI security that makes decisions for cyber analysts (just not needed, really a waste). That continuous monitoring allows the bad guys on the network then we have to hunt them down and follow them. Just keep them off the network with Wave in the first place!!!
I suspect that Widepoint made the deal of the century with Wave as they were the only ones that were given the access to the TPM technology to use in business. WYY could be the test for the tech and could have agreed to the limit of just offering it to the govt and businesses and not to the general public and maybe Wave will be able to make such offers when it re-emerges onto the stage. On the other hand, when Wave does come back, could WYY offer it's services to the public as well as businesses as it has so much experience of the sector, now? Time will tell...
https://www.computerweekly.com/news/366582132/Zero-trust-is-a-strategy-not-a-technology
“Zero trust is a journey”. Yeah a journey that leads companies to see that they should have used Wave and Trusted Computing all along!!! The market should listen to Steven Sprague and not the clown who invented zero trust as the strategy with all zero trust ‘products’ results are not getting the job done!!! If zero trust is so good then why doesn’t a non profit like the TCG back the ‘strategy’!! Maybe all the companies that do back zero trust are just financially motivated to pay for profits like Gartner and Forrester to promote zero trust products unlike the TCG member companies have to pay the non profit TCG to promote Trusted Computing standards! I think the zero trust concept sounded good at the beginning, but as zero trust has morphed, it was too late for Joe Biden and crew to pull the plug!! Trusted Computing has been around for 20+ years for good reason!! Microsoft needs to get back on board as a true promoter of Trusted Computing and not ‘selling’ the market on all its garbage cybersecurity that has led the U.S. to not be properly protected!!!
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security/business/zero-trust
There are so many pieces to this zero trust security and Microsoft’s copilot security is just costly and part of it and Trusted Computing is just simpler and more secure!! How many vendors are involved with zero trust (Microsoft being the biggest waste of money in it). And we have Gartner and Forrester promoting is because all these companies are simply paying Gartner and Forrester to promote it. It’s like one big complicated expensive set of cybersecurity tools that are a total disaster put together! I think Mr. Biden got behind this zero trust cybersecurity and look at all the data breaches and ransomwhere attacks we’ve had since trying to implement it!!! That’s because it’s a complicated mess!! Wave scales quickly and could really protect our country!! Biden backed this zero trust cybersecurity and not Trusted Computing!! Another poor decision Joe!!! Go enjoy some sunny days with your wife in Delaware, and you should have someone from your ‘cybersecurity’ team call Steven Sprague or Bill Solms and get this country on the right track!!
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-will-start-enforcing-azure-multi-factor-authentication-MFA-in-july-2024/amp/
Microsoft doesn’t even mention the use of the TPM as a factor of authentication!! And if it does use the TPM, Wave can still manage all the TPMs and SEDs in a network!!! Do they do device authentication?? Maybe they’ll try to steal that from Wave??!! Use Wave’s MFA for interoperable security!! Microsoft by doing this just locks you in to their expensive cloud platform!! And it’s not 100% secure!!! So if you have an organization with 100,000 that’s 10 users in the network that aren’t secure!! That’s not good enough Microsoft!!! Wave protects all the MFA accounts!!!
https://www.gartner.com/en/cybersecurity/topics/cybersecurity-functions
Gartner should take a few lessons from SKS on Wave and Trusted Computing!!! But then again maybe not because he could put them out of business!! His teachings could go up in the ‘better security’ quadrant:)
https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/gdit-awarded-185-million-task-order-to-provide-global-cybersecurity-services-for-us-air-force-civil-engineer-center-302149063.html
General Dynamics sold Wave security years ago or worked with Wave!! Now they are going to be using this zero trust for the Air Force!! That zero trust is nothing but a conglamoration of too many pieces of cybersecurity under the zero trust complicated umbrella!! Plus Wave has proven it gets the job done!! What has zero trust ever proved in the last 5 years except that inferior security keeps getting added to it!! Will Bill Solms put his pads on and point out to the Air Force that Wave Solutions should be built into this contract, please, for the good of our country’s cybersecurity and wallet!!!
https://www.axios.com/2024/05/17/pentagon-weighs-microsoft-licensing-upgrades
Does Microsoft have reasonable prices for a company that has shoddy cybersecurity? Is there interoperability in Microsoft ‘products’? Wave Solutions is better security at reasonable prices, and their security is interoperable!! Wave gets the job done!! Why would the Pentagon want to go with Microsoft?? Because Microsoft THINKS they have the government by the balls?? Time for Wave and their Swiss like security!! Time for the government to award Wave some contracts!! Wave could always go with China first and offer them better security and not this complicated zero trust BS at higher costs!!!
I think ESW should hire back SKS as CEO of Wave!! ESW has just sat on Wave while it could be a Tidal Wave!! They need SKS’s know how!!!
SKS has just started a new corp, Rootz Corp, but this is all I can find out about it -
Rootz uses the globally recognized ecosystem of corporate registrars to enable the establishment of a digital name as a mathematical foundation for data and Identity that anyone can rely on.
I just wonder why Wave isn’t getting paid (a Wavoid mentioned that Solms did a deal with Widepoint where Wave got $9 a seat)!! I don’t think there was a press release on that!! And Wave had lead with ARM program before Widepoint came up with its mobile security!! I think there were a lot of things that could happened if SKS kept his CEO position. He was good at losing money, but he might have been successful as Bill didn’t do a whole lot better!! It seemed like Sprague was just one deal away from Wave going gangbusters!! He got into Rivetz and I’m sorry, but that technology just doesn’t make sense!! Wave is simpler and it doesn’t deal with crypto like Rivetz and you know my thoughts on Crypto!! SKS should let go of Rivetz and crypto and get back on the Wave train where he had partnerships with everyone. SKS knew Wave by the back of his hand and I believe that Solms got Wave VSC together, but missed a lot of the other great opportunities about Wave. And he could have leveraged the amazing partnerships Wave had and cool technologies that SKS came up with!!!
You mentioned that Widepoint was buying their "seats" from Wave at $10 a time and their business is expanding, hugely so where is it getting the "seats" from, now?
Methinks, I’m just curious as to why Widepoint doesn’t mention the TPM mobile, Trusted Computing, MFA or ARM? You would think those would be big selling points!! And Wave can manage all the devices in a network with different TPMs. I didn’t know Widepoint did that!! Managing all the TPMs in an organization’s network I thought was kind of unique to Wave? Does Widepoint offer Wave Endpoint Monitor and they don’t mention MFA which I thought would be something really good to mention since that is high up on the government’s requirement list!! Wave at one point had device health too!! Does Widepoint have that? There is no mention of encryption!! If Widepoint does all of the things with mobile security that Wave does you would have
thought they would have marketed that?? Also, if you remember Wave had this program for phones that protected organizations and consumers with offering device authentication to all kinds of websites and used a scale as to how secure you phone or computer is!! I don’t think Widepoint does that!! I like Widepoint too as I own a few shares, but are we missing out on some of Wave’s great technology?

Samsung could start with the politicians with secure phones that were in the article in my previous post!! Give up your Apple phones government and get a secure phone with Samsung and Wave!!! Apple’s iMessage was down today!! I like my iPhone, but if I was in a critical industry I’d own a Samsung smartphone with Wave!!
https://news.yahoo.com/news/wave-joins-arm-trustzone-ready-123300604.html
Methinks, here is an interesting old article but goodie with the TPM mobile!!! Samsung had the TEE built into its phones!! If what was talked about in this article was done for enterprise Samsung phones, Samsung or possibly Huawei could blow Apple out of the enterprise market!! You would have thought the TPM mobile was built into millions of Samsung phones!! But they could certainly start now to give the kind of security Steven Sprague talks about in this article!!! It’s a real shame that Wave isn’t being utilized!! What do you think Methinks?? Was Wave ahead of its time or what?? Samsung could be really crushing Apple if Wave reappeared!!! I remember one of the Wavoids saying that Bill Solms didn’t want to pursue the mobile market!! I think that was a stupid decision in hindsight!! Bring back SKS!!!
https://www.theverge.com/2024/5/16/24158089/notepad-newsletter-microsoft-windows-on-arm-mac-vs-pc
Here would be a chance for Lenovo, Dell, and HP to differentiate their computers as having TPM security with Wave Solutions!! Microsoft thinks that AI is the big thing where I think there is going to be a lot of AI competition and future complicated regulations!! Trusted Computing and Wave could help out the Big Three computer manufacturers by offering them cybersecurity (Wave Solutions) that gets the job done!! Let Microsoft focus on AI!!!
Chuck Schumer Senator wants the government to spend $32 billion on AI to compete with the Chinese!!! What a frieking waste!! The government could spend a lot less and use Trusted Computing and Wave and protect this country’s data!! Either Chuck is stupid, smoking dope or bought off by the special interests or all of the above!!! Hey Joe Biden and Chuck, go take a long vacation!!!
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/microsoft-asks-hundreds-china-based-041944118.html
Hi Methinks, maybe Wave and Linux with TPMs will move in to take Microsoft’s place in China and give them better security in their Lenovo computers and Huawei smartphones!!! Does China really need Microsoft and their AI? They can use Google!!!
https://www.theregister.com/AMP/2024/05/15/us_army_contractor_data_loss/
While this country continues to ignore hardware security (activated TPMs and SEDs)! I CAN’T BELIEVE it is STILL NOT MANDATORY!! Hey Joe start taking some vitamins or prevagen or something so you finally wise up to protect this country’s data, networks and devices with Wave and Trusted Computing!! Make a smart executive decision so sh$t like this doesn’t continue to happen!!!
