Protection comes from Wave.
https://www.raconteur.net/cybersecurity/beyond-the-blind-spots-why-cisos-must-embrace-deep-observability
Again - zero trust! Use Wave.
https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2024/05/24/2887823/0/en/Multi-Factor-Authentication-Market-Forecast-to-Cross-55-Billion-by-2031-Increasing-Number-of-Cyberattacks-Rising-Adoption-of-AI-based-MFA.html
Methinks, now there is going to be AI based MFA? Is this a joke? Maybe these companies in the MFA market are going to have to TRY AI to be effective because their products are already ineffective!! And they think making their MFA AI based is going to make them really effective??? Seems like they are struggling to come up with solutions that get the job done!! With Wave solutions you have to have the device to TRY to get onto a company’s network!! No amount of offensive AI is going to make a hack onto a company network with an unknown device any easier!! Wave protects against offensive AI and defensive AI can be beaten!! It seems pretty simple, but a lot of thinking going on in the cybersecurity realm is just plain stupid!!! Wave MFA or VSC which is proven should be the new leader in this potential $55 billion market!! Wave solutions would probably save organizations a lot of money with its security and this MFA size would be less because of Wave’s value!! Wave’s value in key management, antimalware (WEM), and Wave’s MFA could give cyber insurance companies a reason to be optimistic about there not being losses that they have experienced!! If only they would wake up and smell the coffee!! AXA should be leading the way with Wave Solutions! And the government is so slow to act!! Joe’s administration still seems to be firing up the bong for some big hits!!
https://www.pymnts.com/cybersecurity/2024/the-passkeys-primer-making-sense-of-the-new-security-paradigm/
EXCERPT: Passkeys are often integrated into secure hardware elements like TPMs (Trusted Platform Modules) or secure enclaves for ongoing management, ensuring they cannot be extracted or tampered with.
Wave should get business from passkey usage because they offer Key management for all the different types of TPMs. Wave was the pioneer of key management for TPMs!! I’m sure they have patents for this BICBW!! Why doesn’t Wave leverage that Methinks? I like that ‘Trusted’ antivirus piece Methinks, trusted yeah right!! Get Wave Endpoint Monitor!! That’s trusted computing!!!
https://www.helpnetsecurity.com/2024/05/27/cisos-cyber-attacks-defense-confidence/
Help these humans - introduce Wave.
https://securitybrief.co.nz/story/why-strong-passwords-are-still-the-first-line-of-defence-against-cyber-threats
No, no, no! The first line of defence is Wave.
Even the Antivirus concerns are now using the word "trusted" in their marketing -
https://www.trustedantiviruscompare.com/windows-antivirus
Methinks, I’d really like to give a shout out to my brother in law for supporting this Wave dream with his insights, ideas, and basically helping keep the dream alive!!! I believe in the dream still as I think Wave has too much to offer this world with Trusted Computing!!! Hopefully good prevails!!!
Our soldiers protected our country’s freedom. Our current cybersecurity burns out cybersecurity soldiers for what??? The sake of organizations spending more money on continuous monitoring that doesn’t get the job done!! This country should be playing taps for the abysmal job that Obama, Trump and Biden administrations have done allowing the use of this country’s cybersecurity products!! Time to play Van Halen’s Right Here Right Now and make activated TPMs and SEDs the law!!! Bring back Wave and the people behind it!! These people from Wave (employees) that sacrificed so much could have us Make ‘The World’ Great Again!!! MTWGA!!! Happy Memorial Day tomorrow!! Hope this world realizes after all the soldiers that have died are probably screaming from their graves, PEACE and LOVE!!!
https://dataconomy.com/2023/08/08/what-is-trusted-computing/
Methinks, this is a good article on Trusted Computing!! I think the U.S. government should be building its foundation on TC and companies like Wave rather than ‘zero trust’ and all the technology created with that!! Trusted Computing has proven itself and ‘zero trust’ is a foundation built upon quicksand with AI trying to rescue it!! A lot of people in government have to wake up on Memorial Day, do the country a favor, and adopt Trusted Computing rather than using ‘zero trust’ as a foundation for cybersecurity!! I’m going to wake up tomorrow having some coffee looking out across the ocean and hope that Joe Biden and crew are really smelling their coffee too so they can WAKE UP!!!
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsoft-will-start-enforcing-azure-multi-factor-authentication-MFA-in-july-2024/amp/
Now wouldn’t it be great if Microsoft embraced Wave so there wasn’t this one off MFA on the Azure cloud? With Wave’s MFA bundled with Microsoft’s platform, organizations could have multiple web services authenticated with MFA!! Microsoft is missing the boat by not having Wave MFA on its platform!! Microsoft and Wave could share this 50 50 or Wave could just have its MFA with authentication to multiple services done on the Google platform with Chromebooks!! Google would probably win over more government business this way!! Wave I’m sure wants to be a team player with Microsoft and Google, but this one off MFA for Azure is very limiting for Microsoft customers!! This Wave MFA or VSC has been tested and proven and should be mandatory for all users not just administrators!! A WIN/WIN/WIN for Microsoft, Google and Wave!! Isn’t that the way business should be?
The government should make the activation of TPMs and SEDs mandatory!! It’s like saying it’s okay to drive without a seatbelt fastened!! The seatbelt was put in cars to be used and people just didn’t wear them all the time and now we all know to put on our seatbelts before we drive because it’s the law and you get arrested if you don’t do that!!! TPMs and SEDs were built in by all the computer companies and Microsoft and Google!! Does smokin’ Joe Biden want to face punches about how he is not having an executive order that mandates the activation of this hardware in critical industries!! With all the stuff he’s screwed up, he can’t afford this uppercut (not having these mandated minimum activated hardware security standards) from Trump (Ali)!! Trump didn’t mandate them himself so if Smokin’ Joe acts by doing this I think he can give Trump (Ali) an uppercut for the cybersecurity that Biden inherited from Trump!!! Truthfully, I think Biden and Trump are both losers for listening to Microsoft and not making these standards activation mandatory in an executive order if Congress didn’t do it!! That’s what executive orders are for and with this country’s cybersecurity woes well known it should be an EASY decision for Congress to back smokin Joe’s executive order!!! C’mon, smarten up Washington!!! You guys have been stupid about this for too long!!!!
I’m sorry I meant Happy Memorial Day!!! I’m so fired up methinks I said Happy Veteran’s Day.
Guiding principles of Zero Trust
Use least privilege access - Limit user access with Just-In-Time and Just-Enough-Access (JIT/JEA), risk-based adaptive policies, and data protection. Assume breach - Minimize blast radius and segment access.
This is what it says about guiding principals of zero trust on Google. This is A bunch of hogwash that doesn’t get the job done!!! Use Trusted Computing and Wave!!
And Happy Veteran’s Day for the veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and those that continue to protect our country!! I have more respect for these people than those who have quit on Wave and those that have listened to Microsoft for the last ten years on cybersecurity. I just think they are dopes!! Microsoft used to talk a big Trusted Computing game until they had to have all their inferior cybersecurity products lumped into zero trust!!!! Microsoft should have to be put in jail for the lousy results of their cybersecurity along with a whole bunch of other companies contributing to the ransomware and data breach disasters that we still have today!!! If Wave had been or would be used by organizations we wouldn’t have all these disasters!!!
https://www.darkreading.com/cybersecurity-careers/persistent-burnout-is-still-a-crisis-in-cybersecurity
BURNOUT….. It makes me think; why aren’t organizations using Trusted Computing and Wave to prevent hackers from even getting on the network!! That way most of this burnout wouldn’t even exist in organizations with continuous monitoring gone!!! So much stress would disappear and save organizations billions!! How stupid can we be??? Steven Sprague, Bill Solms, ESW/Wave should feel ashamed of themselves for not having the market recognize the need for the Trusted Computing/Wave paradigm shift in the market!! You guys should be working on the weekend to make this paradigm shift happen!! You guys deserve to have a big L tattooed to your foreheads for not convincing Washington to have hardware security standards. (Activated TPMs and SEDs) mandated by at least government purchases!! Joe Biden has had enough ‘complicated zero trust that doesn’t get the job done’ smoke blown up his ass!!! It’s time for Trusted Computing and Wave Solutions Joe!!!
https://timesofmalta.com/article/fortify-business-digital-age-gasanmamo-new-cyber-cover-a2.1092925
Wave would provide good insurance.
Genz2, no more from SKS and the re-introduction around the world of the Wave solution may be too big for him to manage but I hope that he will be there to advise.
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-05-24/medisecure-asks-for-government-bailout-after-cyberhack/103891638
No, they need a Wave bailout.
Methinks, have you heard any more about this Rootz that Steven Sprague founded!! You would have thought he would have tried as hard as we have in resurrecting Wave!! I’m truly disappointed that he gave up or ESW didn’t get his help to bring back Wave!! I think we’ve made good arguments as to why Wave should be a Tsunami by now with Microsoft leaving the door wide open for Wave!! What do you think Methinks?
https://www.zdnet.com/article/a-massive-microsoft-outage-is-impacting-bing-copilot-chatgpt-and-duckduckgo/
Could Microsoft be the target of a cyber attack now or in the future and was this one that happened in this article? Wouldn’t it be a great idea for them to be using Wave solutions and Trusted Computing? Of course, they won’t say this was a cyber attack, but will we get the truth? What do you think Methinks?
https://amp.theguardian.com/uk-news/article/2024/may/22/uk-warning-china-threat-cybersecurity-infrastructure
Methinks, I think the stupid leaders of the UK and U.S. need to rethink all the reasons why continuous monitoring and other parts of zero trust just don’t get the job done like Wave can. The MFA market is loaded with companies that just have been hacked and they try to downplay everything and they are going to fix the problem!! They aren’t using hardware security (TPM) and that is the real problem!!! Microsoft should be advocating for SEDs instead of Bitlocker and that is going to be a huge problem if Microsoft continues to have organizations rely on Bitlocker!! SKS or someone from Wave should point that out to Microsoft or they will probably face many lawsuits!!! Or instead of telling that to Microsoft, they could educate the market on why SEDs are better than Bitlocker with a viral video on Facebook or YouTube!!
https://www.nwaonline.com/news/2024/may/23/mastercard-to-employ-ai-to-combat-cybercriminals/?business-national
Stop it before it begins - with Wave.
The UK has set July 4th for the General Election. Why has he chosen this date? Are there things in the pipeline that are going to be to the Conservative's advantage? Should the US give them a little Wave?
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/microsofts-new-windows-11-recall-is-a-privacy-nightmare/amp/
Microsoft is going to use Bitlocker for encryption instead of Self Encrypting Drives (SEDs)?? Good luck with that!!!
https://www.itpro.com/software/microsoft/new-microsoft-recall-feature-is-a-security-nightmare-and-could-make-copilot-pcs-a-top-target-for-cyber-criminals
Microsoft still cannot get it right - where are you, Wave?
https://hackernoon.com/phishing-in-the-pews-the-hidden-dangers-of-qr-codes-in-church-communities
Is nowhere safe? We need Wave to sort this out.
Methinks, maybe Biden doesn’t want to use Trusted Computing and Wave because he knows there won’t be a need for all of these useless cybersecurity jobs for zero trust and it’s security which is pumped by Gartner and Forrester!! Biden needs a brain transplant or some leader to come in and make some smart decisions about using Wave and Trusted Computing in addition to what they are doing with Widepoint!! I don’t think Widepoint is enough!!! Unfortunately, Biden and most politicians are focused on what’s going into their pockets to buy them more votes and not the security of our country!! Nobody wants to do the right or good thing anymore! Really sad…,
https://defensescoop.com/2024/05/20/cyber-yankee-army-national-guard-lessons-critical-infrastructure-defense/
Why doesn’t the Army listen to Bill Solms and what Trusted Computing and Wave can do? Probably because Biden is thinking about saving Cyber command jobs and not this country’s security first!!! Apparently he may think providing these jobs that don’t solve the problem, but buy him more votes in the short run is more important!! Or he may just be clueless because those in the Army and government are just clueless about Wave and Trusted Computing!!!
https://www.cnet.com/tech/services-and-software/goodbye-password-make-your-google-account-safer-with-passkeys/
Why would you want to store your passwords in a browser (essentially storing it in software and not more secure hardware - TPM)?? Google has TPMs in Chromebooks: why don’t they use the TPM to have your passwords stored in this secure hardware?? Does Microsoft do the same thing as Google by storing passwords in the browser and not in the TPM?? I just don’t get it!!
https://therecord.media/okta-security-chief-cyberattack-lessons-battleground
Bla bla bla Okta!!! Why do companies even bother getting your security after your results??? Methinks, when do you think companies will stop buying excuses from the likes of Okta, Securid and Cisco Duo?? Wave has better security!! Organizations shouldn’t put up with these 2FA ‘products’. Why do cybersecurity insurance companies even allow these 2FA products to be used by insured companies after these products’ track records??
https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2024/03/27/unitedhealth-group-paid-over-3-billion-to-providers-since-cyberattack.html
United Healthcare is using Palo Alto to do their clean up after the ransomware attack. Question: Was United Healthcare using Palo Alto before the attack? Who was United Healthcare using before the attack for cybersecurity? Can you imagine if Microsoft or Palo Alto was being used and it cost United Healthcare $3.3 billion? Plus the cleanup!! Wave Solutions should be used here not Microsoft or Palo Alto!! Jim Cramer said to be kind today!! It’s hard to be kind Jim to all these companies using inferior cybersecurity to the detriment to them and our society!!! Time for you to dig a little and do some independent reporting so organizations don’t get ripped off by the likes of Palo Alto and Microsoft!!!
Widepoint…, Methinks, I think Widepoint/ORC had Wave as part of $100 million deal with the U.S. government many years ago!! As far as ransomware attacks go I read somewhere a long time ago that Robert Thibadeau who worked for Wave was the father of SED (Self Encrypting Drives) technology said that the SED could be used to help stop ransomware attacks!!! I don’t believe that Widepoint has that key piece (SEDs) and Wave to manage those SEDs!! And Wave had major deals to manage SEDs with big well renowned corporations!! Wave being the leader with SEDs should get a lot of new SED business!! The SEDs are hardware (unlike Bitlocker’s slower inferior software encryption) that is built into all computers!! Thank you for your Widepoint post!!’ I thought Seagate sued Wave to get back the SED technology, but Seagate first came up with it on the spinning drives not the SSD (solid state drive) and I think Wave did a lot more with the technology so Seagate should only get part of it since Wave had the know how to manage all different manufacturers of the SEDs!!! I believe Wave couldn’t fight it because they were in bankruptcy!! A judge should help sort this out!!!

Is WidePoint muscling in on Wave territory?
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/critical-fluent-bit-flaw-impacts-all-major-cloud-providers/amp/
WOW METHINKS, check out the companies that this impacts!!! It’s a wonder that Trust @ the Edge of the network with Wave MFA for authentication is not being used over the Cloud!! And if the cloud has to be used I remember when the Trusted Computing Group had the Cloud workshop!!! Seems like Wave and the Trusted Computing Group could have a BIG POSITIVE impact on the future of the cloud!!! It seems absolutely crazy that Wave and the Trusted Computing Group are practically dormant!!! You have to wonder why these companies in this article don’t use Wave or Trusted Computing?? The cloud is a big target and will continue to be that way so Wave and activated TPMs would be better and if the cloud is used the Trusted Computing Group has better cloud technology!!!
Methinks, I just saw the Palo Alto CEO on Jim Cramer’s Mad Money. I heard the CEO say, “Hacks are just a part of life and to double check your stuff” or something to that effect. Well, if you’re using Palo Alto that make sense!! That doesn’t provide a lot of assurance!! Organizations should have gotten Wave Solutions a long time ago instead of getting the cybersecurity of the likes of Palo Alto, Crowdstrike and Microsoft!! And now AI is going to save them all: NOT!!! It’s about time for Wave and Trusted Computing and organizations have to be kicking themselves for buying that inferior security!!
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/microsoft/windows-11-recall-ai-feature-will-record-everything-you-do-on-your-pc/amp/
Methinks, this is kind of scary because if an employee has inferior ‘data at rest’ security in Microsoft’s Bitlocker, a criminal who steals your computer will be able to do a lookup for anything on your computer!!! Don’t you think that organizations would be better off with more secure SEDs if Microsoft is going to have ‘Recall’ on computers?
https://www.itpro.com/security/cyber-crime/fbi-seizes-breachforums-infrastructure-but-successor-sites-are-already-popping-up
Yes, I agree with the FBI needing assistance and if organizations were using Wave, the FBI could stop playing this game of Whack a mole!! Have you ever seen that game?? The moles (bad guys) just keep coming up no matter how many times the FBI whacks ‘em!!
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/google-attacks-microsoft-cyber-failures-100018703.html
Microsoft could say , well Google we are going to offer better security in Wave that doesn’t need Mandiant for clean up because of its better security!! That’s if Microsoft is smart!! Or Google could add Wave to their package and kick Microsoft’s ass!!! But Google wants to make money with Mandiant so they probably don’t want to do that since Google paid about 5 billion for Mandiant!! Seems like the likes of Google/Mandiant and Microsoft/Rubrik want cybersecurity to fail so they can make money on the clean up!! What a BAD model!! Get Wave and it will kill the need for Mandiant and Rubrik!!
https://www.helpnetsecurity.com/2024/05/20/ransomware-claims-frequency-grow/
More Ransomware - needs more Wave.
Yeah, I'm like the bad penny - always turning up! I am also pleased to see your valuable posts to this board which are always interesting.

Even the FBI could do with a little Wave assistance!

Stop malware NOW - with Wave.
https://www.androidauthority.com/what-is-tpm-windows-3356474/
Methinks, here is a good article on TPMs!!! Why we are not using Wave to activate them at scale doesn’t make any sense!! And Microsoft may not be pushing for their activation because it could kill a lot of their cybersecurity business since it is better security with Wave!!! Maybe the government could give Microsoft a little help with promoting Trusted Computing and activating TPMs!! That was sarcasm: Microsoft doesn’t need a little help, they need a BIG swift kick in the ass!!!
Well said Methinks!! I’m grateful that you continue to post and you don’t give up!! I wish Wave/ESW had that attitude!! I don’t think Widepoint has the Virtual Smart Card that Wave has and the SED management and that is just better than Microsoft’s Bitlocker!! I think it could be a win/win for Microsoft if they went 50 50 on that! with Wave. Bitlocker, I don’t believe generates capital for Microsoft so SED management could be a new revenue stream for Microsoft and the world could have better ‘data at rest’ security and it’s a TCG standard!! Steven Sprague and Wave created technology that Widepoint doesn’t have!! But I believe you are right that Widepoint got a great deal with Wave on some of its technology!! The government should be activating that so fast!!! Biden should be championing Trusted Computing!! I think trust but verify was a motto that Wave came up with, and MAYBE some of this zero trust is worth something. But Wave and Trusted Computing could replace continuous monitoring, and a lot of AI security that makes decisions for cyber analysts (just not needed, really a waste). That continuous monitoring allows the bad guys on the network then we have to hunt them down and follow them. Just keep them off the network with Wave in the first place!!!
I suspect that Widepoint made the deal of the century with Wave as they were the only ones that were given the access to the TPM technology to use in business. WYY could be the test for the tech and could have agreed to the limit of just offering it to the govt and businesses and not to the general public and maybe Wave will be able to make such offers when it re-emerges onto the stage. On the other hand, when Wave does come back, could WYY offer it's services to the public as well as businesses as it has so much experience of the sector, now? Time will tell...
https://www.computerweekly.com/news/366582132/Zero-trust-is-a-strategy-not-a-technology
“Zero trust is a journey”. Yeah a journey that leads companies to see that they should have used Wave and Trusted Computing all along!!! The market should listen to Steven Sprague and not the clown who invented zero trust as the strategy with all zero trust ‘products’ results are not getting the job done!!! If zero trust is so good then why doesn’t a non profit like the TCG back the ‘strategy’!! Maybe all the companies that do back zero trust are just financially motivated to pay for profits like Gartner and Forrester to promote zero trust products unlike the TCG member companies have to pay the non profit TCG to promote Trusted Computing standards! I think the zero trust concept sounded good at the beginning, but as zero trust has morphed, it was too late for Joe Biden and crew to pull the plug!! Trusted Computing has been around for 20+ years for good reason!! Microsoft needs to get back on board as a true promoter of Trusted Computing and not ‘selling’ the market on all its garbage cybersecurity that has led the U.S. to not be properly protected!!!
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/security/business/zero-trust
There are so many pieces to this zero trust security and Microsoft’s copilot security is just costly and part of it and Trusted Computing is just simpler and more secure!! How many vendors are involved with zero trust (Microsoft being the biggest waste of money in it). And we have Gartner and Forrester promoting is because all these companies are simply paying Gartner and Forrester to promote it. It’s like one big complicated expensive set of cybersecurity tools that are a total disaster put together! I think Mr. Biden got behind this zero trust cybersecurity and look at all the data breaches and ransomwhere attacks we’ve had since trying to implement it!!! That’s because it’s a complicated mess!! Wave scales quickly and could really protect our country!! Biden backed this zero trust cybersecurity and not Trusted Computing!! Another poor decision Joe!!! Go enjoy some sunny days with your wife in Delaware, and you should have someone from your ‘cybersecurity’ team call Steven Sprague or Bill Solms and get this country on the right track!!
