REITS $WPG and others: Since the current administration you could argue has done nothing or very little for the mortgage markets (i.e. borrowers, investors, etc.) since the crisis, everything REIT related has been pushing since the expected announcement of Janet Yellen back to Treasury Secretary under Biden.
REITS are tied to the majority of pensions. If REITS go BK, you have a whole other problem on your hands as they are often viewed as safe harbor investments for retirement funds.
I suspect REITS might cool off a bit short-term (who knows....it's a wacky market again) but I also expect them to push into the new year as the commentary is, Yellen knows what she is doing and will help turn these things around. We will see!
IMO i would not want to be short, even at these low recovery levels. Most REITS are still relatively at/near their 52-week lows or just off of them compared to their January 2020 highs.
My commentary is not investment advice, just solely my opinion!
For arguments sake I bought between 3 and 4 sold all on a 40%.increase, bought it back a little above first buy and bought more till it dropped below 3. At that point I couldn't bring myself to buy more so just sitting on what I own now.
Wish I knew? I just sold half of my position for profits...not yet sure if this is just a pump before the dump or what. Watching/waiting to see if she keeps her strength in the next week or so. GLTA
Will add back in a heartbeat, especially if we hear news that the pending */S is cancelled. Shareholder meeting in December --- but might get news beforehand. $$$

That is what I’m thinking too. Because someone has been buying a lot of shares this week.
IMO it's behaving as though they want to see it get back over $1 and avoid the R/S. I think we'll know by next week with a couple more solid PR's that might make it happen. Let's see if this 10% gain holds -- chances will be good if that happens. GL $WPG
You think they are going to vote that reverse split in or they just going to get it back over a dollar?

LOCAL ARTISTS CREATE VIBRANT EXTERIOR ART MURALS AT WASHINGTON PRIME GROUP TOWN CENTERS
“Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” - Edgar Degas
COLUMBUS, OH – October 22, 2020 – Throughout the past several months, we have witnessed many of our own community members rise up to use their voices, talents and skills to create positive change throughout the nation. We have experienced firsthand the impact we can have on one another and we have seen how one simple action can inspire someone else to make a difference.
While we may come from different backgrounds, Washington Prime Group Inc. (NYSE: WPG) understands the importance of remaining unified as a community – especially during these challenging times. As a way to connect with communities and spark newfound inspiration in guests, Washington Prime Group created The Canvas Project in 2017, a unique initiative allowing local artists to showcase their art within prominent areas of town centers across the country.
This fall, The Canvas Project has invited artists to create intricate murals in Washington Prime Group town centers’ highly visible exterior areas. These striking art murals also welcome guests into the creative process by allowing them to view the paintings being completed in real time. To date, more than 44 exterior murals have been completed around the country.
Washington Prime Group understands the vibrancy and ingenuity artists bring, as well as the curiosity they ignite within community members, and guests are able to find their own unique meanings within installations. Once completed, the final murals become a destination within the town centers, while simultaneously serving as a reminder of Washington Prime Group’s ongoing commitment to celebrating local communities.
A few highlights of The Canvas Project exterior art murals around the country include:
Ashland Town Center: The town center’s exterior art activation depicts a horseshoe design with roses to symbolize the Kentucky Derby’s run for the roses. There is also a silhouette of the famous Ashland bridge, as well as the town center’s social media handle so guests can tag Ashland Town Center in their photos.
Bowie Town Center: The town center partnered with Doudgy Charmant, a local talent within the Washington Metropolitan Area, to create a stunning new mural. Entitled “Guidance,” the piece features three installations that tell the story of a young boy who has set off on a quest to fulfill his destiny.
Cottonwood Mall: The town center is partnering with Nazario Sandoval to create a 3,000-square-foot mural near the main entrance. The piece will aim to create joy among guests and serve as an interactive portrait wall for photos.
Edison Mall: The town center collaborated with local artist Laura Pucci for an installation art piece in their atrium called, “Art in the Air.” Upside down umbrellas with different colors and images contributed by guests lead to an intersection with a large umbrella, titled “It’s raining cats and dogs.”
Grand Central Mall: The town center’s exterior mural, which was completed by Artsbridge, features colors from local schools.
Lima Mall: The town center created an exterior mural through a local arts group called the Lima Mural Project. As most of the creative work was completed during the night, guests were treated to a view of the piece’s progress each morning.
Lindale Mall: The town center’s unique mural was designed to honor veterans and first responders. The mural depicts famous moments in military history, as well as police, fire and EMT workers.
Pearlridge Center: The town center is currently concepting the new mural to be created by artist, Jeff Gress. It will pay homage to the cultural diversity of Hawaii while including an added urban flair.
Polaris Fashion Place: The town center worked with local artist Andy Clarkson to create a mural, as well as a giant set of silverware installation, creating a 3D element. In addition, a charming parking lot painting was added in front of the Food Hall entrance to welcome guests as they enter the space.
Scottsdale Quarter: The town center embraced the 106-degree fall weather with a new desert selfie wall. A Washington Prime Group colleague from the guest services team painted the beautiful Arizona landscape featuring mountains and cacti.
Southern Park Mall: The town center partnered with artist Patrick McGlone to create an exterior mural showcasing a Youngstown Clothing Company’s T-shirt design. The mural features an outline of Ohio with “Yohio” written through the state. The concept exemplifies a sense of Youngstown Pride as a way to bring together the local community.
Southgate Mall: The town center’s picturesque mural, created by local artist, Ann Karp, captures the wonders of the great Montana outdoors. Located near a newly constructed entrance, the piece is highly visible to incoming guests.
Waterford Lakes Town Center: The town center’s mural includes a nod to the Orlando community, by highlighting local tenants, as well as the University of Central Florida.
Beyond creating eye-catching installations, The Canvas Project also sparks ongoing engagement through social media, as well as local media outlets. To date, murals have generated more than 110,000 digital impressions and almost 5,000 digital engagements through Washington Prime Group’s organic social media. In addition, through local media and digital coverage, The Canvas Project has reached an audience of more than 7 million.
Today, more than ever, our communities need opportunities to connect and grow together. Through The Canvas Project, Washington Prime Group town centers are providing an outlet to do just that. We hope these innovative art pieces provide guests with a moment of joy, whether they are snapping a selfie with friends, feeling inspired to use their own creativity through art, or simply stopping to admire the talent of local artists. While each exterior mural may spark a different emotion or meaning for viewers, they represent each city’s individuality and the unique experiences of our guests in communities nationwide.

Sold @.68's - this one is not quite at bottom yet, but the news and a break to the upside is in the making. Decided to wait another minute here... next time!
Three reasons:
1. There is a ton of potential generating in the last press release. We're in tough times right now, but when this BS turns around - with what they're investing in... it's a go. $$$
2. I believe the SP is as low as it's going and there's only one way to Go from here ^ > $

Washington Prime Group Inc. (NYSE: WPG) is a retail REIT and a recognized leader in the ownership, management, acquisition and development of retail properties. The Company combines a national real estate portfolio with its expertise across the entire shopping center sector to increase cash flow through rigorous management of assets and provide new opportunities to retailers looking for growth throughout the U.S.
Washington Prime Group was formed in May 2014 following a spin-off from Simon Property Group and acquired Glimcher Realty Trust (NYSE: GRT) in January 2015. Today the company operates out of headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, and an additional office in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Washington Prime Group is one of the largest retail real estate companies in the U.S. Our town centers benefit from large trade areas and draw nearly 400 million guests a year. We provide the community a preferred place to shop, eat, drink, play, and hang out. We are reinvesting in our town centers to further transform them into the hub of daily life.
As many small businesses have been impacted during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, these local entrepreneurs found it difficult, if not impossible, to pay operating expenses such as payroll, insurance, utilities, loan interest, inventory and, of course, their rent while they were temporarily closed. Upon reopening, many small businesses continue to face unprecedented challenges.
At Washington Prime Group, we regard our tenants as partners. Accordingly, during the second quarter of 2020, the Company entered into constructive negotiations with its small business partners, with a goal of strengthening longstanding relationships. Open for Small Business has been at the forefront of ensuring the survival and subsequent prospering of local entrepreneurs.
This national crisis serves as the catalyst by which we can further our town centers’ standing as a community resource. Our Local Management teams, along with many of our tenants, have worked diligently during the pandemic and continue to serve as a community partner, as exhibited by our hosting of nearly 1,000 community service projects nationwide since March 2020. These civic measures have not only provided immediate assistance to those in need, they have further solidified Washington Prime Group town centers as an integral member of the locales which they serve.
