BRWC .0004~
KIAMESHA LAKE, N.Y., Feb. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Boreal Water Collection, Inc. (OTC: BRWC), an established water bottler of premium private-labeled bottled water products tailored for each client's particular need, today issues the following updates.
In the Fall of 2015, we were able to get interest from a large international group from the UAE and Saudi Arabia for buying our water. In December 2015 and January 2016, we conducted water tests required from these buyers. Results have been positive, so our legal teams are now working on the contracts and we expect to sign these long term supply contracts in the first quarter of 2016. The proposed initial ship date is April 1, 2016 and the term for the contract will be 5 years.
In the last 3 months, International Capital LLP (Intercap), our London England based financial advisor, was able to raise capital to finance the growth and the expansion of Boreal Water. Intercap currently raised $500,000 in debenture with warrants priced at $0.0075 from 2 investors in Saudi Arabia.
Boreal was able to lock in its right of "first refusal" on purchasing Alpine Spring property. Currently the company is paying $65,000 per year with on a long term lease that was to expire Oct 31, 2035, making a minimum future payment of $1,605,824. Instead of paying these fees, the company will purchase Alpine Springs for an amount of $600,000. This purchase will be very beneficial to the company and permits the company to control its own water springs. The property consists of 130 acres of land.
During 2015, our export sales to China were not as good as projected by our clients in their contracts with us. The slowdown in the Chinese economy and the currency devaluation affected their sales. Boreal however attended trade shows and won the 2nd price as the best tasting water at the China High-end water Exhibition. In August 2015, Boreal succeeded in obtaining the copyrights on its Boreal Baby Water products so it can protect itself against possible copies. Boreal Water management still projects that its baby water product line will increase its sales in the coming years in the Chinese market. Presently our products are in many high-end retail outlets and online retailers. Our baby water is recognized in China as being pure, sodium free, BPA free, and bromate free with low mineral content and a balanced PH. Those are all perfect conditions for quality baby water to become a successful brand in China.
Finally, we have decided to file, on the OTC market, our unaudited financial statements to be current with our OTC filings. When possible, we will file audited financial statements to SEC.

The water cuts on Wednesday and Thursday with addition water cuts on weekends has left residents into a tizzy.
With water cuts and shortage in Thane and Kalyan-Dombivali, the prices of water containers and tanks have raised after an increase in demand, as the residents are looking for more storage options to suffice daily needs.
The water cuts on Wednesday and Thursday with addition water cuts on weekends has left residents into a tizzy. The four day water cuts have led the residents to purchase tanks and drums for water storage. The residents earlier had limited storage tanks. However, they are now looking to increase storage capacity, keeping in mind, the summer season and the drastically increasing water cuts in the region. The only hopes, residents have is a heavy rainfall this monsoon to avoid problems next year.
Pallavi Sawant, a resident of Kalwa, said, "We have no option but to store water as much as we can and minimise the water usage so that the four days of water cuts does not affect our daily needs. We have also increased the storage capacity."
"We have been suffering already due to water cuts and further cuts has added more woes to our daily life and the storage containers have also become costly due to demands", said Kaushik Sabnis, a resident of Vartak Nagar.
Due to increase in demand of tanks and drums for storing water, prices have sky-rocketed. A 100 litre drum now costs around Rs400 while a 250 litre drum costs Rs1000 as compared to the cheaper rates. While black storage tanks of 1000 litre capacity cost Rs 2900, white tanks of the same quantity cost Rs3700.
Sandeep Mayekar, storage tank seller, Ghodbunder road, said, "The branded company distributors increase the prices during water shortage and we have to charge the consumers more, who are left with no options but to purchase the tanks at the said price."
He added, "With more housing complexes being developed in the region, need for storage tanks and drums has increased due to severe water scarcity in the region."
However, using inferior quality storage containers manufactured in the chemical factories can lead to skin diseases and ailments.
"It is important that the residents use good quality containers as chemicals used in the inferior quality products could lead to rashes and skin ailments, while, it is also important to clean the container once a month to avoid fungus and mud collection inside the tank,' said Dr Dnyaneshwar Tipre.
Around two-thirds of the world population suffer from severe freshwater scarcity, a situation far more dangerous than previously thought, a new study says.
In an article published in the journal Science Advances on Friday, a team of two scientists from the University of Twente in Netherlands warned that over four billion people across the globe live under conditions of severe water shortage for at least one month of the year, adding that half of these people live in India and China.
The study also shows that some 500 million people live in regions where water consumption is twice as much as the amount received through precipitation during the entire year, leaving them highly vulnerable as natural underground reservoirs increasingly run down.
Researchers further warned that these water problems tend to worsen as the world population soars and water consumption, particularly intensified through meat-eating, is increasing.
“Taking a shorter shower is not the answer” to the global problem, said professor Arjen Hoekstra, one of the authors of the research, since just one to four percent of a person’s water footprint is in the home, while 25 percent is via meat consumption. “It takes over 15,000 liters of water to make one kilogram of beef, with almost all of that used to irrigate the crops fed to the cattle,” he explained.
According to Hoekstra, many other countries, including Pakistan, Iran, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia, are living on borrowed time, as their natural underground reservoirs of freshwater are increasingly depleting. The research further revealed that water problem in Yemen is very acute as the impoverished country of the Arabian Peninsula could run out of water within a few years.
Authors suggested that “putting caps to water consumption by river basin, increasing water-use efficiencies, and better sharing of the limited freshwater resources will be key in reducing the threat posed by water scarcity on biodiversity and human welfare”.
