I think 3D printing sector has bottomed out and we are on the upswing of that action. I don't think VJET ever sees 7s again unless like you said the broader market gets creamed. Looking for solid earnings here to kick this back to 10-11 range.

Are they going to continue in the entertainment industry set proto-typing, and will they be moving beyond powder additive
3-D tech?

I do not presently foresee stock price to fall below $7 area, unless we have major market crash, etc. type of stuff.

Any business venture worth its nuts, is going to be brainstorming how to utilize 3-D tech: to cut its labor-intensive costs, move out of Asian-sourcing of production and save overseas shipping time/cost + geopolitical considerations, and innovate formulation of its products future market reach.

HP . . . w/o looking . . . I assume HP is going for 3-D printers for average consumer/home use as possible way to 'push up' their lagging home ink-jet printer sales.
Do not foresee BIG 3-D home business/craft activity right now (will average person want to get techie and make things)?

My take . . . 3-D printing is just getting into $$s of metallic scaling of production runs, for business uses. With 3-D, it makes no sense to use China for manufacturing (due to shipping time to Americas and EU.

Would HPQ with their $*30 Billions be interested in taking over VJET?

Thank you very much for that post. No I am new to the 3d printing investor space but this stock was shared with me by my brother. He says it could be a double in 2015, or maybe 20% in a few months. He told me about some other companies in the space and I see the massive hype and subsequent shorting. Hopefully we are fully compressed here and I get a nice quick bounce ;P thanks again.

I take it you were following the 3-D blow up in 2013 and early 2014, followed by the epic down turn?

In a nutshell the analyst forecasts were way out of proportion for what the businesses were capable of producing, compounded by the high multiples all these stocks (SSYS, DDD, XONE, VJET) all of them were trading at crazy P/E's.

My opinion here's what has changed: These companies are another year older to feel out their 3-D market share and where each niche lies. Analyst forecasts will be more grounded in reality. Xone and Vjet are getting revenue in from the service side of their business which is under the radar right now IMO. Xone (sorry I know this is a vjet forum) consolidated their service centers into one therefore eliminating higher SG & A expenses.

I just think it's time for a turnaround on these 3D's, they've been shorted to the bone and anything positive in these earnings calls could light the spark. This bounced off of $7.17 and wants to come back. I admittedly sold into the rally but I"m looking for a spot to go long before their next earnings call.

Disclaimer, I'm not an engineer but would like to study the actual components of each company's 3-D printing to better understand it because I"m clueless in that aspect.

Precisely, they just blew guidance out of the water for 2015. Trend I"m seeing with these 3d printing companies are unforeseen revenues from the service side of their business. Same can be said for XONE, they're making big money separate from the actual sale of printers.

VJET seems to be the best value proposition among the 3-D's with XONE also up their IMO due to their low market cap and presence in additive manufacturing, which is a good niche among the 3-D's.

Guidance bumped up big time and trading near 52 week low, should be $11+ after the next earnings update IMO and from there who knows? This has tested bottom, only wants up from here.

Who knows- the entire 3D printing space is as oversold now as it was overbought back in the fall of 2013 in my opinion.

Guidance from VJET for 2015 (released today) was pretty strong, so I think VJET at least, may have bottomed?
