Vicarious first indication will be hernias
Becton Dickinson the world wide leader in hernia repair products
Clearly there is a plan
Interesting, didn't appreciate that.
It almost seems pre-baked. Though Becton Dickenson may want to have some input into that ...
More Auris DNA…..
E15VC was financially backing Auris and lead them to the JnJ buyout….
E15VC now backing Vicarious and will likely lead them to the same results except probably much higher BO..
Why? What's the rationale?
Seems like at a $1-$1.2B current value, could be fairly priced - or even underpriced - given similar robotic surgery startups with solid technology and gamechanging innovation have hit the $3B+ mark (Auris, CMR).
Interesting that there is Auris DNA in this company with the Exec Chairman being the former Auris CFO. The news on JNJ/Ottava may accelerate a buyout for Vicarious.
Have you started a short position?
Time to short the snot out of this stock - prime for a long time short IMO
Yikes. I can’t catch a break. Glad they don’t have many patents cause there apparently is a inverse relationship. Ouch
S-1 is now effective.
We will see this week if people get the panic dump from the PIPE investors that everyone has been waiting for.
Maybe some deals to be had?
Love that show!!
Red, the blood of angry men!
Black the dark of ages past!
Red, a world about to dawn!
Black, the night that ends at last!
Ya sure. Thats why the drop from 16 to 11. Lol. God bless all
Not yet, maybe I should be, this company seems to be on the march
Are you long here?
Interesting announcement on the lease
They've committed to an extra 30K square feet after already moving into a new HQ just a few months ago. Not cheap at $1M/yr.
That and something like 40 open job recs, they are ramping up for sure - confidence must be building in the forward picture
https://boards.greenhouse.io/vicarioussurgical
Yes green today!!!!
I don’t give investment advice
Agreed. Should I get invested now ?
It’s a whopping 40% larger than Vicarious
That’s a significant difference…I would say game changing difference..
Sorry -your right it’s 15mm I shaved off 5 mm in my excitement…
Lol
Go watch the videos of Vicarious SP robot
You can read their investor presentation here…take a look at the team of industry veterans the have assembled
Very impressive indeed
https://s28.q4cdn.com/226987091/files/doc_presentations/2021/04/Investor-Presentation-April-2021.pdf
Why not 2mm? Why 10 or 25? You are the surgeon. Tell me why not 2mm.
Where does it say 10mm?
This is the only place I could possibly read that 25mm is massive. That’s a stretch. Really? Massive ? Lol.
Actually its only a 10 mm incision!!!
Less than a dime!!!
Enos needs a massive 25 mm incision….
Truly remarkable
True, though all of that needs to be validated in studies as well as physician feedback.
I will say though, the Enos does beat out all other robots in one thing per the luminary himself, the acclaimed Dr. Estape, who says the camera light on the Enos is fantastic. Can't forget about that - it's a great light, nice and bright.
Please just don't start dumb rumors about imminent buyouts by Beckton Dickenson and then creating fake photos or false claims about joint patent development.
Are you in yet? How heavy should I go? What’s a good price ? It’s only valued at $1,083,000,000. Not bad ?
The only robot to get breakthrough device designation….
The FDA has given Vicarious a clear and expedited 510k pathway..Vicarious will also get GUARANTEED CMS reimbursement IMMEDIATELY upon approval for a period of 4 YEARS!
That’s HUGE
Take a look at this one closely the technology is outstanding…lots to look at
But one of the amazing things about this robot is with its 10mm incision (less than a dime) the incision can be made anywhere in the abdomen…also the camera and arms are hyper dexterous…VR head set….9 deg of motion….the list goes on…beats enos in every category as far as I can see….equity position by Becton Dickinson which is the world wide leader in hernia repair products….and a whole lot more!!!!!!
I'm not a mechanical engineer either.
Video makes it look impressive ... but it's a video. Need to see if any surgeons have tried this thing or any market feedback. Same question on the Enos, what are people saying.
Lofty valuation, so it has a lot to prove
I think MZOR, MAKO were bought out for close to this same valuation though CMR was valued at $3B+ and Auris was bought out for $3B+ and a big earnout I think
I think the system looks great. I am not qualified to comment on the technology however.
In the pipeline? Ok then. We can go with that. Research provisional patents and see if you still believe that.
Wow! This has a 15cm incision?!
Crazy watching the video of this thing - the incision size is only 15cm, packs two arms that have tremendous dexterity (360 degrees), and the camera can do a full 360 both up/down and left/right?
Is this for real?
Not sure how gimmicky the VR headset is though, that may be a little much
Congratulations you found it…now wasn’t that easy? Proves EXACTLY what I said 30+ patents in the pipeline….
…and that was way back in April I’m sure many more to come here….
The best place to go is into the SEC filings. Looks like Vicarious just submitted a prospectus and all you have to do is a CTRL+F to find the data. Pretty simple - 9 patents plus 39 applications/pending:
We maintain a patent portfolio that includes issued U.S. and foreign patents as well as pending U.S. and foreign patent applications which include claims directed towards our proprietary technology. We intend to pursue additional intellectual property protection to the extent we believe it would be beneficial and cost-effective. As of October 1, 2021, we owned approximately five (5) issued U.S. patents, approximately two (2) issued patents in foreign jurisdictions including one (1) in China and one (1) in Japan, and approximately 39 pending patent applications in the U.S. and foreign jurisdictions, including in Canada, China, Europe, Japan and India. These issued patents and pending patent applications (if they were to issue as patents) are all utility patents and have expected expiration dates ranging between 2035 and 2041. Our patents and patent applications are directed to, among other things, our core technology. This includes the surgical robotic and camera system; sensing capabilities, controls and visualization interfaces; the surgical tools suite; and related technologies.

What's the scoop on this one?
See that all my friends from the Titan board seem to talk about the same things but on this board.
Just checked out the Vicarious robot and the investor pres out of curiosity - still very early, though looks to have some fairly interesting technology and capabilities. Now if this gets approved, very well could be innovative and a game changer in surgical robotics. Appears approval though is far out.
Looks like they got breakthrough designation by the FDA also, very interesting, not sure if any other robot has gotten that yet.
Will do some more research on this one as well.
Here is the scoop.
Vicarious website has a presentation that says they have 30+ patents issued and pending ( with an interesting footnote - :includes Provisional applications )
What is a Provisional application ?( they expire in 12 months if not converted to a regular application) Provisional application s are useful to preserve the Date of the filing but are often only ideas. They are not formal patent applications.
It seems to me providing a image that shows 30+patents is not quite accurate. Ok- they covered themselves with a nifty footnote. They do not have 30 patents nor 30 patents pending.
Take a look
Vicarioussurgical.com
Also - look up Provisional patents
Makes me wonder.
Easy As can be.
You got nothing. As usual.
Oh I believe you. Provide the link? Show them up. They spout off like they know better.
Trust me it’s out there….now go find it
If this were factual you would have provided the link. Why not ? Prove these guys wrong. Let’s see the 30 applications. Cmon man. Don’t hold back.
The information is a available to the public and easy to find….
10.46
Post the link!!
They had 30+ patents in the pipeline and that was all the way back in April….
“Undocumented”???
Unless there is some official patent ranking system it’s all subjective….
But since I like you I’ll rephrase it..
Just for you….
Titan sold the patent licensing for the best elements of enos….
Post a link big guy. I know where to look and there’s not much to see. You got nothing.
