I think so too, lol! Funny how we both thought VERI was struggling to cross the $4 mark, now looks like it will soon cross 5!
Crazy today. Somebody must be reading GBR posts. Lol
Feels like one of those Veri insider info run ups
Doesn't look like day traders up to now.
yeah, seems to be fighting to stay past the 4 mark
Let's see if it closes above 4. Hasn't done that in a while
Something supporting this.
Up 8% while Soundhound and Airship down 7 or 8%. I like it. Something supporting this.
With respect to our balance sheet and debt position today, we have near term plans to vastly improve our liquidity position on a non-dilutive basis.
Well, whatever he means by non-dilutive, he calls them "near term plans". Nothing set in stone until executed. It could be an option they go through with, but also be posturing for other possibilities.
What is clear to be is that for them to maximize their growth, they need to be better situated financially. Hopefully they are looking at various possibilities to do that.
sometimes though, even dilutive transactions turn out as positives for a company. It all depends on who the participants are and also the specifics of the transaction.
Dilution strictly means stock ownership and devaluing and decreasing of current stockholders interest. Doesn't take into account future revenue generation etc
When Microsoft invested in OpenAI, would that be a dilutive transaction? OpenAI investors would be diluted by the Microsoft investment, but the value that Microsoft brings to the table could make the transaction to be considered non-dilutive. I don't know. But a non-dilutive transaction could be one of many different possible arrangements.
Non dilutive. Selling Ad Agency for 100 mil+. But will reduce revenues by 60 mil
That statement by Zemetra to vastly improve liquidity does not have to mean the sale of the advertising business. The sale of the advertising business could be just one option that they are looking at. Could be something they go through with if other options don't pan out. All part of negotiations and posturing. jmo
Yeah, I'm optimistic, and also biased.
But when Ryan says "We're seeing an explosion
of demand for Veritone’s AI applications, aiWARE platform and solution capabilities, with the largest
qualified pipeline on record,", as an investor, I have to assume that he is telling the truth.
Yes I know we have been burned in the past on their grandiose statements. But if I believed they are just perpetual liars, then I should not be in the stock. This time, at least I know that when he makes a statement like that, I also know that the AI market is red hot, and believe aiWare capabilities would be desirable in today's market.
So assuming there is some truth to the above statement, it is reasonable for me to believe that Veritone is probably going though some strategic negotiations that could unlock the value within the company. I think we are right in the middle of it, and something could be announced at any time.
This statement also supports my belief that things are happening. With respect to our balance sheet and debt position today, we have near term plans to vastly improve our liquidity position on a non-dilutive basis.
BTW the VP job listing lists all the verticles and the Hire job listing still lists all their major partners. So they haven't changed. Just saying
Like it always the optimist. Hope u are right
Veritone, as a small standalone company, has limited resources. In late 2022 they decided to narrow their focus to their ecosystem of businesses. So the fact that they are now mentioning broader markets, tells me that they may be making progress with strategic partners. jmo
Well again are they focusing on Ecosystem or doing about face again and focusing on all markets or broader markets or whatever. To me it would seem like a flip flop. JMO
When they say "broader markets", that is a good sign to me. Tells me that they are no longer limiting themselves to certain verticals.
I think there are certain capabilities within the aiWARE platform that are desirable to other platform companies.
Veritone as a standalone small company developed the aiWare platform. But there are lots of AI platforms out there that are heavily branded and marketed. Those companies might be interested in certain aiWare capabilities to be integrated into their platforms. So, although Veritone calls their in house platform aiWare, that does not necessarily mean that they can't license various aiWare capabilities to others. As we know, Veritone does not heavily market the aiWare brand anymore. Many times when Veritone PRs an application anymore, they don't even mention aiWare. I think the real value comes from its various capabilities. So if aiWare disappears from AWS marketplace, it could mean that they have reached some sort of deal. Maybe, maybe not. jmo
Also kind of interesting to me that AIOPS.D comes onto AWS Marketplace, at the same time that aiWARE comes off.
Also in New job description listing of core verticles no longer list sports marketing, legal, public safety or financial services but says broader markets. So sure looks like AWS ditched them in whole in or in part. Business as usual for Veri or should I say lack of business.
Good possibility AWS ditched them in the last week. Can't be coincidence that take out all references to AWS and now Aiware no longer on marketplace.
So I think liked I have been saying that Aiware not a commercially viable product and now going with Ai Solutions Group where Aiware part of the solution. Basicly Veri has reverted to a single solution provider like Plantir and Cai3. It seems CS dream for Aiware is dead. JMO
Took aiWare off AWS Marketplace. Now just Veritone Investigate.

HL Workplace not even HR related. https://www.hl.co.uk/workplace
thx for sharing. Have to say, seems more and more companies are willing or eager to publicize a partnership with Veritone.
Just remarkable that Veritone still doesn't have a dedicated Veritone Hire page.
From a LinkedIn post https://www.linkedin.com/showcase/hlworkplace/
We’re excited to welcome AI solutions company Veritone to HL Workplace.
We’ve had a great time speaking to employees about their redesigned workplace pension scheme.
Welcome, Veritone!

Haven't announced Ask Veri, haven't announced enhanced aiWare platform that they spent the past year plus working on. Haven't announced gtm plans for Veritone Hire.
I think it is obvious that they are making an effort to not let AI hype to jack up their share price and price themselves out of the market.
What is also obvious is that they have a liquidity problem. They say they are addressing that in the near term.
we have near term plans to vastly improve
our liquidity position on a non-dilutive basis. We will continue to update you on further progress on this
initiative when we announce Q1 earnings in May 2024.
I speculate that they are looking at different options. Keeping the stock low sucks, but it probably serves to bring more interested parties to the table. I think they are exploring strategic options, but if not to their liking, they will go ahead with the asset sale to improve their liquidity. jmo
So Ask Veri finalist in NAB show. Never PRed about Ask Veri or anything else
Can't draw any conclusions with Veri. They are inconsistent and things change by the minute.
In that new job description for SR. PARTNER MARKETING MANAGER - AI SOLUTIONS GROUP, they not only removed the references to AWS, they also removed references to aiWare.

I would not doubt that a bit.
Think Microsft out of picture when invested 10 bil in Open Ai
Back when Chad was CEO and making those tipping point comments, he would include Microsoft along with Amazon as partners.
Now days they never mention Microsoft.
But if it remains the same relationship with Amazon as they always have had, then why does it appear that they are starting to market exclusively for AWS cloud?
They always prided themselves on being cloud agnostic.
Well they have been strategically involved with AWS for quite a while and to date have not revealed a strategic partnership.
Is it just mere coincidence that they are delaying the 10K on the heels of by far, the most massive week of trading volume in the company's history.
You are probably right, probably up to Veritone's discretion. Here's what Google Gemini says"
A 10K filing by a company may need to disclose a new material strategic partner, but it depends on whether the partnership is considered "material" to investors.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) establishes the guidelines for 10K filings. These filings require companies to disclose all material information. Material information is anything that a reasonable investor would consider important when making investment decisions.
Here's how it applies to strategic partnerships:
Material Impact: If the new strategic partnership has a significant impact on the company's financial performance, business operations, or future prospects, it would likely be considered material and need disclosure in the 10K. This could include factors like revenue sharing, shared resources, or access to new markets.
No Bright-Line Rule: The SEC doesn't provide a specific dollar amount or percentage ownership that automatically triggers disclosure. Companies have some discretion, but they must err on the side of disclosure if there's any doubt about the materiality of the partnership.
In summary:
A new strategic partnership with a significant impact on the company's business should be disclosed in a 10K filing.
The materiality of the partnership depends on the specific details and its potential influence on investors' decisions.
If there's uncertainty about materiality, the company should lean towards disclosing the partnership.
Not necessarily. Has to be generating revenue and major revenue for requirement of disclosure. A relationship not sufficient
Would think if there is an expanded relationship with Amazon, should be revealed in the 10K.
Really don't know what to think about that. Why want partnerships a secret is beyond me. Guess didn't tell HR what to write in job description
So they either already hired the AWS related position, and this is a new position, or they edited the job description because they felt the references to AWS were too revealing. jmo
They revamped the job description for SR. PARTNER MARKETING MANAGER - AI SOLUTIONS GROUP. (Took out all the AWS references.)

Can only speculate, but AIOPS.D was built on CortexAI. aiWare integrated into CortexAI. When I read the description of AIOPS.D , see similarities with aiWare and Veritone CDI. But again, can only speculate.
So are we saying that's Aiware related?
AIOPS.D was added to AWS marketplace. Looks like it was added March 1st.
