VLA15 is the only Lyme disease vaccine candidate currently in clinical development. This investigational multivalent protein subunit vaccine uses an established mechanism of action for a Lyme disease vaccine that targets the outer surface protein A (OspA) of Borrelia burgdorferi, the bacteria that cause Lyme disease. OspA is one of the most dominant surface proteins expressed by the bacteria when present in a tick. Blocking OspA inhibits the bacterium’s ability to leave the tick and infect humans. The vaccine covers the six most common OspA serotypes expressed by Borrelia burgdorferi sensu lato species that are prevalent in North America and Europe. VLA15 has demonstrated a strong immunogenicity and safety profile in pre-clinical and clinical studies so far. The program was granted Fast Track designation by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in July 20172. Valneva and Pfizer entered into a collaboration agreement in April 2020 to co-develop VLA151.

Valneva's Covid-19 Vaccine Gets Its First Approval in UK

Valneva SE's coronavirus vaccine has been granted regulatory approval by the U.K.'s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, the government said Thursday.

The U.K.'s medicines regulator is the first in the world to approve the French biotech company's shot.

With this type of vaccine, the virus is grown in a lab and made completely inactive so that it can't infect cells or replicate in the body but can still trigger an immune response, a process that is widely used in flu and polio vaccines, the U.K. government said.

"Our approval of the COVID-19 vaccine made by Valneva today follows a rigorous review of the safety, quality and effectiveness of this vaccine, and expert advice from the government's independent scientific advisory body, the Commission on Human Medicines," MHRA Chief Executive Dr. June Raine said.

Valneva shares were halted on the Paris stock market on Thursday.

Tread carefully now. Be prepared to buy at the dips.
1- Next month is their 3rd quarter earnings release.
Second quarter was (-1.46) per share
This quarter will probably be more because of all the expenses for
Phase 3 trials. I'm anticipating the stock will drop unless of course
they get regulatory approval. Then, whatever happens with their earnings (+) or (-) it wont make a difference. The stock will skyrocket.

You may be right. Astra Z has a pretty s*itty track record. I have a lot of relatives in EU and most have taken the PF vaccine, not the Astra Z.
This should open the door for Valvena as one of the top vaccines in EU.
It may open the door for the US if they go for FDA approval. A lot of people are afraid in the US to take mRNA vaccines. This vaccine is made like the regular Flu Shot.
You can also buy Valvena on OTC under a different ticker name. They trade on 3 platforms including France.

No S*it Sherlock. The just announced their phase 3 results. The Covid 19 Vaccine is 95% effective and filed for emergency use authorization with the British and the European Union.

So! Here we are looking at the next Covid 19 Vaccine, only this one is coming from the French. They are already manufacturing the Vaccine in Ireland. IMO They will kick some serous *ss. Leave it to the French.
