Brought some MSFT, too me the stock is simply too cheap. Guidence for FY 12 is $2.86, which means it is trading under 9 times earnings. A very healthy balance Seheet. Plus MSFT Dividend Yield is becoming rather attractive as they raised there dividend by 25% this week from .16 a quarter to .20. which is about a 3.15% yield versus the 10 year at about 1.8%. Plus they are raising there dividend every year where the 10 year you not getting any raises looks like a relatively safe place to put money at this point. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.

SYMC

Trades at about 8 times next year. A interest play in the internet security sector, which is needed with all this hacking going around. I think SYMC is pretty cheap here and is yet another option to buy. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.

If you want stability, at a little higher PE. This stock trades at 11 times next years earnings. a pretty stable business. Trades at a discount to VZ i don't think it is warranted to this extent. We are talking about a 6% yield at this point, that is almost three times the 10 year. And they raise dividend every year, unlike the 10 year if you buy it here they won't give you more interest next year. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.

Although they have recently raised guidence. Nobody seems to care. My favorite pick in the retail sector. Stock is trading at 7 times next years earnings and is very cheap here. I will probably be buying more at some point. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.

Yep. That might be a very good idea. Rarely do you find the 500 index yielding more then the 10 year. That tell me either bond yields have to go waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay up or stock need to go way up, or some cobo of them both. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.

If things get much cheaper I may just do a basket of large caps consistenting of 1-3 stocks from each industry that I like and think are dirt cheap. Seems like some easy money to be made on a number of companies who are trading really cheap regardless of the economy.

Have not looked at GT in depth, but from at a glance research it looks very cheap. Now this is a sector that really shouldn't trade at much more then a 10 PE even when the market is going well. If the economy holds up this stock will fly much higher. So obviously not a bad one to purchase. But if the economy falters this is a really cyclical industry, although I do think it has a lot of potential here. But so do alot of thing at this point. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.

LNC now the financial sector is terrible. But this is and insurance stock. It is trading at 5 times next year earnings, and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay under book value. Historically industry trades at 1-1.2 time book value, lets just say that is a long way from here. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.

I own ORCL although this has become a very painful holding of mine. Still can't believe I'm seeing ORCL trade at 9 times next years fiscal years earnings. 9 times. If this isn't as bad of a slowdown, which I don't think it will be because we weren't growing fast to begin with, so going flat or even -1 ain't quite the fall it used to be. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.

Well you Know XRX in business Services. XRX has very predictable business. Raised guidence last quarter, has been paying down debt. $1.24 for next fiscal year. So we are looking at a PE of 6 times next years estimates. XRX is currently my second largest position in my portfolio and I'm thinking of acquiring more. All is just my opinion, and I could always be wrong though.
