UPS has been a monster share price wise. And, even at these lofty high share prices the dividend is a very safe 2.6%. it doesn't get much better than that, and as you have pointed out, Buffett and BRK have apparently/likely been adding to BRK's UPS position.
New 52-week high mid-day today before dropping back a bit. UPS has been a very strong gainer of late. Good for BRK also, as Mr. Buffett and BRK apparently hold UPS shares.
"FedEx and UPS Shares Surge Amid Holiday Fee Hikes"
"United Parcel Service, Inc. (UPS) and FedEx Corporation (FDX) shares posted significant gains Friday after the freight giants said that they are lifting their holiday prices to offset higher costs from increased deliveries during the coronavirus pandemic.
According to Bloomberg, UPS plans to add a holiday surcharge of up to $4 per package for customers who ship more than 25,000 parcels a week and whose busy-season volume is three times their February level. Meanwhile, the firm has flagged a $1 holiday levy for ground deliveries with volume at least 10% above February's level. The price hikes dwarf the company's last surcharge increase in 2018 that maxed out at 99 cents extra per package."

Up another 7% today! Of all the many BRK investments UPS is the smallest and has been for years. BRK only has $9 million in UPS, pennies for Buffett & Co. Clearly Buffett likes it... but he doesn't love it.
It is a "Buffett type stock" with a durable "moat" and dependable revenues which is why I bought it in the first place during the Great Recession. My guess is BRK may be adding.
UPS has a huge market cap of $137 billion so it can easily absorb BRK's buying.

I wonder why you didn't see more about the total holiday failure at UPS. Entire neighborhoods, weeks late. Meanwhile all the amazon talk as if its good? Amazon is dumping its unprofitable rural crap on UPS.
UPS seems to be going the way of the USPS.On top of all the failure, handle with care seems to be a sticker without meaning.
I will never use UPS.

Seeing UPS and FedEx crumble other day before close is sad, as they blame it all on "Amazon Effect"... Well, doesn't Amazon use both UPS and Fedex besides USPS?
And with all problems with USPS, they are raising postage rates next month 5 cents more per ounce saying they are losing $4 Billion last year for their pensions.
Well NONE of their pensions or benefits helps me or other Americans who work in small businesses, so it seems if Amazon is such a monopolized event these days to destroy the 2 biggest delivery companies in USA, maybe Federal Govt needs to step in and investigate Amazon and Bezos altogether...???
Besides, here in NC around Wilmington region, so many sleeping in tents and have no homes this Christmas from so many hurricanes and rain/flooding, Ole' Bezos could donate $1 Billion himself to really help those people out; Buying some travel trailers to live in until their homes are rebuilt, etc. FEMA is stretched already with not enough temp trailers to go around with so much continued flooding/damage in that area...
UPS has a 1.3 out of 5 star rating on Google - cant imagine why IT IS NOT LOWER and it would be less but for the ONE SILLY PERSON WHO GAVE THEM 5 STARS -
Must have not had a package delivered - or it would be a ONE STAR LOL
UPS has a very good track record for raising the dividends as you have just proven. They like to keep it close to about 3% return.
Look up UPS TRANSFORMATION on the internet.
Will be an interesting year as they entice the older workers to take retirement packages and reorganize the workforce to be leaner and respond faster to the changing economy.
I had missed that UPS raised its dividend in February.

Transport Stocks Sink, Watch This Trade Level
Transportation stocks are followed closely by most traders and investors. This industry group is known as a leading indicator for the markets. In fact, the transports made a short term top on January 16, 2018 which was ten days earlier than the S&P 500 Index top. This just shows how the transports will often lead the major market indexes.
Since the January 16, 2018 transport top, many of the leading transportation stocks have sold off sharply. United Parcel Service Inc (NYSE:UPS) is a market leading transport stock that has declined by over $19.00 since that transport peak. Today, UPS stock is trading lower by 0.32 to $116.14 a share. This stock is still trading above its 200-day moving average at $115.11 so there will be some daily chart support around this area. Should the 200-day moving average fail to hold as support then there should be one more major leg lower for UPS stock price. The next major chart level for UPS will be around the $110.00 level. This area is where the institutional money should defend UPS stock price. Traders should note that this is where the stock was sponsored in late July 2017 and it will likely be a buy area again when retested. This is where I will look to trade UPS stock on the long side.

United Parcel Service (NYSE:UPS) Sinks After Amazon Invades Another Industry
Amazon.com, Inc.(NASDAQ:AMZN) has announced that they will start a delivery service to compete with United Parcel Service, Inc.(NYSE:UPS), and FedEx Corporation(NYSE:FDX). While this news has been tossed around for years it looks as if Amazon.com is really about to make the move in the package delivery business. Due to the upcoming holiday season there will certainly be more than enough packages for all of the companies in the shipping and delivery sector. This does not mean that stocks such as United Parcel Service, Inc.(NYSE:UPS) and FedEx Corporation(NYSE:FDX) won't see lower stock prices in the near term. At this time, the next major daily chart support level for UPS is going to be around the $113.50 area. This is a major retrace level that will often hold as support when initially tested. Traders and investors should remember that daily chart support levels are generally good for about three to five trading sessions.

Management at UPS is collateral damages. They don't need most of them, that's why the company shits on them. They don't pay them much, make em pay for their insurance, and etc. The company knows most of em can't get a job anywhere else making what they pay them. And that's the reason so my managers hate their hourly employees...
That's because the Teamsters are doing all the work. UPS is smart. Why pay the supervisors more than the drivers when the supervisors don't do anything. The drivers make the company profit, not the management....
Didnt the ceo just give himself a raise, lmao
Rich keep getting richer
UPS once again takes away from the management team, and keeps giving more and more to the teamsters.
UPS raises div from $0.78 to $0.83, a nice 6.4% increase. Forward yield is now 3.13%. UPS has doubled its payout over the past 10 years.
