I had to create a seperate blank folder under templates, open up the EA program I downloaded, copy and pasted the program files to the new folder under templates....

OPEN the MT$ Metaeditor and see if your EA is showing on the right side under TEMPLATES. IF so great, if not save it there until it shows up.

There is a tab on the top that should say TERMINAL. Click TERMINAL and see if your EA is now showing on the left side under expert advisors.

yes...i saved it and it said the file already exists and did I want to replace it....So I clicked yes

Did it show it as a program type of file when u opened it up? IF so
Save it as an EA and then SAVE IT!

Go to file, then open, then find your files on your computer then import them. Once you do that PM me back. Just do 1 first so we can finish the sequence.

There not EXE files, open up the metatrader EA tab by right clicking it then PM me back. A whole other program should open up and allow you to import the files

I unzipped the files but they wont run on my computer

Yes...and im on DSL..and when I open the MT4 and its asking me about the Personal Details, the Leverage is pre-set to 1:50...it wont let me change it

MT4 is the most robust system, some traders still use MT3 because of that. RU on a T1 line or DSL? Have you opened the practice account yet? The market does not open for a couple more hours so you have time to set up your indicator list to your liking and a template for hand trading.

I already downloaded it...and is MT4 the same, no matter what FX broker its supplied by?

So once I find a good EA that works in conjunction with MT4, I should be set to start trading with the demo...and do I just totally trade it through technical indicators like on the US exchanges, or is there a better system to follow

Load this EA, install it and start playing around with it.

These are TEMPLATE EA's and can be hand programmed/tweeked to suit your needs

Yes I use it for USD/JPY and Euro but am not at good at trading the EUR.

So basically the EA is a automated trade system that helps you pick potential entries and exits....and you use it combines with Magic number but still trade manually from it.....and is USD/JPY the only one you use this method for

Morning all, Does anybody have a stable USD/JPY EA for 20PIP plays?

Just found this board. New to Forex. I try to trade the Yen pairs exclusively. Focusing on AUDJPY, EURJPY, GBPJPY and USDJPY.

I still trade equities and bonds in a trading account as well as the IRA. As well as real estate (for cash flow at the moment) and running a business.

I keep an eye on money flow to predict equity market movements and initially watched currencies and interest rates but I'm actively participating now.

I am under the opinion that with the Japanese fiscal year at a close, fund managers will be driving their money out of Japan into foreign markets. So there will be a heavy demand to sell yen to do so.

What LIBOR rates do you look at? The BBA ones or the overnight rates (repo) that the Bank of Japan releases? I understand that the BBA ones have been around for a long time and are well respected. They are released with a one week rolling delay however. Do you know where we can get the LIBOR rate on a daily basis for the JPY?
