It is alleged, in several class actions, that the Company and certain of its officers overstated the commercial viability of Twist Bioscience’s synthetic DNA manufacturing technology while engaging in accounting fraud and using unsustainable pricing to inflate Twist Bioscience’s true financial condition and prospects.
Unlike a class action, brought on behalf of investors, a shareholder derivative action or demand is brought by a shareholder of a public company on behalf of and for the benefit of the company itself. In a derivative action, shareholders “step into the shoes” of the directors and officers of a company and bring litigation that the board would be unwilling to pursue on its own. Shareholder derivative litigation can recover damages back to the company for financial or reputational harm caused by the conduct of its insiders, and also can be used to improve the governance of public companies in order to guard against such harms in the future.
Do you still hold TWST shares?
It is hard to believe that 95% of the outstanding shares are owned by institutions!!!!! That only leaves 5% for the rest of us little people to fight over.... it is going to get very expensive, very quickly, to get in if you are not in already!!!!
This should be a good ride to be on!
Got in today. Twist chips can store 10,000x more data on a chip than any other technique. That’s just one of their revenue streams Second: They are storing data IN DNA now!! Not science fiction. Third: they have all the DNA sequences!! Why sell them!! They are going to be developing drugs for everything from covid to cancer. Adding n dips. Good luck to all.
nice run-up for TWST this last year...looks like it went too high, panic sale today chopped all that gain...
Synthetic DNA Technology is gonna Change the World as we know it!!

I'm new here with TWST! Is TWST in a court battle??
What's pending here!!??
Good Company Here!!
Less than 9,000 shares traded all day so far? And lost 71 million on 25 million revenues last year? This company has a long ways to go to convince investors they are a viable alternative to the multitude of other investments out there. Somebody convince me otherwise. Please?
I think TWST could pull a TLRY, it definetly has the MOMO.
Ilumina bought Pacific biosciences recently for 1.2 billion. I believe TWST is already a buyout target for the big boys.
Great call observer21. I think were looking at a buyout when the lawsuit problems are settled.
Now that I've had more time to do due diligence, I'm more cautious. "Ginkgo Bioworks also accounted for 40% and 32% of our revenue for the nine months ended June 30, 2017 and 2018, respectively." ....Negative gross margins. ....and IR was unhelpful and dismissive of my questions...A vibe I personally cannot ignore. Entirely possible they were just having a bad day.
Good DD.... https://www.nanalyze.com/2018/10/twist-bioscience-stock-ipo/
Anyone have any knowledge concerning the Agilent lawsuit...timelines, Etc?
This company could be a blockbuster. Very exciting technology and a first mover.
