I think that it is time to buy NCS again.
Actually that bill was $9692.61. Looks like my MSEP is at best in a restructuring mode. NCS is dropping down into the good investment area again. Moving product like gang busters.

Just got into a NASCAR related stock.
Has nothing to do with my truck driving. But it has been doing quite well, and there are those that think that it could go up to .50 per share. I am in it at .06. Have acquaintences who are in it from .0059. They are ecstatic.
Basically the company is a start up involved with quite a few facets of the racing industry including selling 1/18 models of racing cars. The young CEO, David Keveaney is 35 years old and apparently quite good. I hope I spelled David's last name right.
In the trucking vein: Just had my 600 HP Caterpillar engine snap an injector tip. Took out the head, cylinder and sleeve, and finally the turbo. $9962.61 at Holt Caterpillar in San Antonio. Ouch....

I deliver boats thu 43 states so may be able to do a "drive by". Don't like to go far off the main highway.
Also may help with questions in regards to the marine industry in general, as I have close relationship with many of our company dealers.
My choices are mostly mining stocks. (anyone deliver to Red Lake,CA?)
My latest DD:
NMCX -Instutional (Churchill Management) purchase of a (1)cent stock for
over $200K. I own small amount as a test using the SHO list, and DD on what the company claims.
Here is an interesting slant that leads to some explorer's links.
You have to dig through the links and absorb the background.
Some, moly, some gold, some base metals in one page. All surrounding an exploration resurgence in some metals and in BC as well.

Penny Stock High Rollers
(Commentary) With his stringy white beard and shy, self-deprecating manner, John Kingery is not the sort you would expect to find sipping a cocktail inside a high-roller suite in a Las Vegas hotel, contemplating his six-figure jackpot in the penny-stock market.

That link is to my company. It generates automatically in the sig file. It is private right now but it has links to a couple of public companies through planned vendings and plans to go public itself.. (Don't know if the vendings will go through.) Right now we are talking a couple of molybdenum deals with some companies. Moly is one of the main steel hardners, so there is high demand. Price has risen 1000% in one year.
We were looking to expand, but investment money is tight right now.

Thanks for the link to that site Echarter. I plan on following up more of the links on it this weekend. I don't have any shares in any gold mining related companies currently but I have been looking at one Savoy Resources (SVYR) that is making a China play in oil, gold and other minerals. One stock I do have a stake in is SQNC ( Sequoia Interests). Right now they are a two man startup company with a product, DiamondFlo, that may be key to oil recovery efforts in depleted wells and the Canadian Tar Sands. I will post a link to their website later this weekend.

Great job SecureResources. . . information like this is just what I was hoping we could all share on this board. I am going to put NCS on my watch list and see how it does. Keep us posted on things you see on your end.
I was in the flatbed business myself from 1974 to 1982, leased to a company that no longer exists( H.J.Jeffries out of OKC). I enjoyed it and met a lot of very interesting people. I drove vans and reefers for another seven years for three different companies but after being an O/O working for the other guy just didn't cut it. The nicest thing about the flatbed business IMO was no fingerprint loads.

Steel used to be a steal, but now Steel customers are stealing themselves for higher prices.

Gunny. Of all the companies I am involved with, the one I think most highly of at this time is the conglomerate steel building company with the symbol NCS. I will tell you more about them later. For now:

That will give you a start.
I haul steel building components for the company.

Secureresources. . . good to see you here. I was just wondering what kind of operation you have. Are you a company driver or an O/O? What kind of equipment ( flatbed, dry van, reefer or a specialized trailer).
What I wanted to do when I started this board is to get truckers together with some folks who are interested in investing in stocks to share information about various companies that might be good investments. I drove from 1974 to 1989 before leaving the road for a stay at home job. While I was driving I was always making notes about different companies that I hauled into and out of. I made some fairly good investments from information I gathered this way. You drivers have access to companies that an investor like I am now could only dream about. I might be able to get a lot of information about a company from public filings etc. but a driver can talk to the actual employees of a company and see just how that company is taking care of business. If we can get 40 or 50 OTR drivers coming in here and posting their impressions about how different companies are taking care of business maybe we can all help each other make some money. If we can keep it civil in here and share information we can all learn something from each other. Pass the link to this board on to other truckers that you respect please. I for one would like to hear from them.
GLTA,
Dennis
ss..looks like you found
a truckers board,its
on the home page when
new boards are started
drit, drat. I hate that when that happens.
I make the post and submit it. Then I check to see if it went through, But it has not been listed yet, so I repost it and then look like a ditz. Oh well.............
And that is the only mistake I ever made, other than letting my dad put me in the cab of the truck... LOL

pontius. I buy the pennies, lose the money, and then give the paper away.. So I am not really a trader. LOL

Pontius. . . I am sure there are lots of truckers that invest in penny stocks and the market also. With the advent of laptop computers and wireless connections more drivers are using computers all the time. I know of a few.
