*If the earnings date is in error please ignore error. I do my best.
Over the past few years, it has become common for Companies to screw over the employees by reducing or eliminating benefits in favor of using the money to hike executive pay and perks.
UNIONS have lost influence that they need to recover.
We are becoming too much like third world countries that have a small elite group and by far the majority relegated to the bottom.
MIDDLE class?? ERASED!! But that is not a desirable outcome.. And results in unrest and revolutions.
When they do hire them away from Triumph, they might have to give them a refresher course in work ethics. They are not learning much of that at Triumph.
The Workers have the skills...but more and more, the incentives are missing.
There is an article by the "FOOLS" on the website at yahoo financial that is critical of Triumph. They do not exactly say that Triumph is cooking the books to make it look as if the earnings claimed and the cash flow is real.
But they are coming very close to saying just that.
But worse for the long term prosperity of the company is that
they are busily doing what they can to do away with employee benefits.
This is short-sighted and typical of small companies..not one that has ambition to become a real force in the Aircraft Industry.
There are other and wiser companies out there that will be glad to hire the trained employees away from Triumph.
To keep the highly skilled workers, companies should assure that they are well compensated for what they do. Training new workers is an expensive activity.
Contacting some present employees, it appears that compensation of workers is not anything to brag about. It is a job, though, in areas where jobs are not exactly plentiful.
The aircraft industry as a whole is better paid than in areas where the company is located.
When Northrup and then others owned it, the pay was about the same, relatively speaking, allowing for the times, but the other benefits were better.
Some of the profits that are going to the executives pay is off the backs of the employees, especially the newer employees.
Not to say that the execs are greatly overpaid... but the attention to the bottom line at the expense of the employees
is hard to justify.
This Company builds parts for various commercial and military aircraft.
Quite profitable, and they employ a lot of people in the Southeast and elsewhere.
The Stock is not cheap, ergo not one for flipping.
Like a lot of profitable companies, they do pay dividends. Small to be sure, but they do pay them.
And like a lot of companies, they may be slack on upholding employee benefits. Most Southeast operations in Fl, Ga, SC are not unionized. This is not unusual.
Perhaps we can explore ways to better understand the company and its policies. Look at reasons why we should add their stock to our portfolios. Or not.
