Forget about "after visiting the pubs" - you should have seen me driving straight on the left side of the road - I think I could drive bombed here better than straight there! lol It is very dangerous. I was able to adapt to the steering wheel on the other side, but the staying to the left was near impossible to remember.
April 18th! Be there!
We are doing a tour with 2 other couples this way no one has to drive after visiting the pubs!
My wife wants to go there. Let's double date!
Woohooo!!!! Are you doing a tour or are you just doing it solo?
We just booked a trip to Ireland for next year.
I posted the notice as the places I dread to go others like intensely and so the price was so delicious I posted that alert, as just on the currency side of the this trade, it would cost me less to go to that 4 star vacation spot ( to nowhere perhaps?) than I usually spend on walking around money in my neighborhood if I look for just cheap thrills. And hey if your a real lavaphile,
its a once in a lifetime deal!
True if a big winds blows in that area which is not part of USA no free paper towels from the big chief to soften the blow, lol.
Weather in winter there? Does it get cold?
No, don't think we were.
They keep telling us how safe we are using this stuff, but truth be told, we are not at all.
Did you check to see if you were affected by the Equifax hacking?
I was but my husband wasn't.
Not according to the credit card company.
You go to a restaurant, what are you going to do? Refuse the waiter your credit card?
Personally, I think it was Uber that screwed me. Never used the app before.
What I am saying is that you have to watch very carefully if you give someone your credit card.
It may not have actually happened in NY. It could have been months ago that someone got your information.
Yes. I should not have eaten there or bought gas
You have to be more careful
So in my visit to your fair town, someone stole my credit card information and charged $33k to it. Welcome to New York!
BTW, I don't know how you have the guts to drive around downtown NYC.
There's a show on HBO about a comedian and how in order to get stage time, they must get a certain amount of people to show up. They write their names on the back of the coupons, so they should be the comedians. What I found was they are all so beaten down by rejection, none of them have a good presentation. Had someone actually tickled me, we would have probably gone.
Not sure I'd rate the play the funniest ever, but it was funny. Makes me wonder why we don't go to more plays here at home.
I would recommend it to you, but our tastes seem very different when it comes to that stuff. I do wish the sound quality was a bit better as I think we missed some lines, but no bad seats in the theater. I also would have liked to see the Show where everything goes wrong. That sounds like a funny premise to me.
I liked Citifield. I'd probably rate it in the top 10 or 15 perhaps. Good choices of food (I had the filet sandwich, spousal had the burger with pastrami, we shared the Home Run Sundae), lots of seats behind home plate, good site lines. Ballpark was pretty empty. We were sitting a section over from Liev Schreiber. The 360 Club was very nice. Workers all over the park were very friendly and helpful. Mets won the game 7-6 I think.
Patsy's was packed! We had reservations for 6:30 and got there a bit early figuring we could get in, but was already full. As we were leaving the 9:00 crowd was pouring in. I don't know how people eat that late.
We walked over after to 30 Rock. Some big shindigs going on in the courtyard across the street with security to chase people off everywhere. Something for a hospital I believe. Some of these security people just slay me. They take their job of acting like a dick very seriously.
I'm glad you enjoyed the show. It is supposed to be one of the funniest ever.
As for the people trying to get you to go to the Comedy Club....I would think that they aren't the actual comedians so they may not be too funny.
How was the Mets game? Did you like Citi Field?
We really enjoyed Book of Mormons and dinner at Patsy's. I would strongly recommend both if you haven't partaken.
Wandered all around Manhattan and surrounding areas on Saturday. I was surprised how crowded it was even on a Saturday. The Spousal_Unit really hated the crowded streets. Said it reminded of going to the Texas State Fair. I find it somewhat entertaining. I kept challenging all the people on the streets who are trying to convince me to come to their comedy club to sell me with one funny joke. None could do it. Surprised they all seemed to have no clever responses.
Anywho, funny thing was, got home, was taking the garbage to the street and two Mormons approached me while they were walking down the street. I did all I could to stifle the laughter.

Yes. What about after? I may have jinxed myself by promising good weather.
Up there meaning NY?
our weather is supposed to be nice thru the weekend
Is the rain expected to hit up there?
They are probably being inundated with calls. I have contacted about four different families I know down there.
You wouldn't have to tell me twice to leave.
I will take the snow and sleet every day instead of a hurricane once in a while.
I think the deposit was pretty big.
I've left a few messages for her but I haven't heard anything yet.
That's where my dad is and refuses to leave.
Holy cow, Batman. They lucked out that they didn't already close. Even if they lose a deposit, right?
A friend of mine just went to contract on a house in Boynton Beach, Florida. The house inspection was supposed to be yesterday.
Whatever the results of the inspection were yesterday I have a feeling it will be different by next week if the storm hits.
Jose & Katia. Katia is threatening Mexico.
I thought I read there were two more possible ones after Irma?
and all because of no climate change! It doesn't exist. Dominican Republic is also a big wedding destination and it is about to or already got hit. Yeah, Jose is also looking like a bad one.
What a shame - St Maarten is a big honeymoon place - anyone having a fall wedding must be scrambling. But way worse for the residents there. It will take years to build it back. We still have people here not fully fixed up from Sandy which was five years ago. Hope this thing manages to miss Fl. Worst part is that two of them hit so close together this time I worry about public response - Texas still so new.
Yes, it got hit right before St Martin
Where is that? Is that near St Maarten?
and Barbuda has apparently been wiped out...

Sonesta Resorts cancels all reservations to the end of 2017
STATEMENT FROM SONESTA SINT MAARTEN RESORTS REGARDING HURRICANE IRMA’S AFTERMATH
SINT MAARTEN (6 SEPTEMBER 2017) – Hurricane Irma passed over the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten as a Category 5 on the Saffir-Simpson Hurricane Wind Scale.
All guests and staff of Sonesta Maho Beach Resort Casino & Spa, Sonesta Ocean Point Resort and Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort & Casino are safe and unharmed.
The damages to our resorts however are severe, as is widespread damage and destruction on our beloved island of Sint Maarten. Severe damage has also occurred at Princess Juliana International Airport, and we do not have news as to when the airport will resume operations.
The Sonesta St. Maarten executive team and management are doing their best to assist guests who are at the resorts to remain safe, secure, and as comfortable as possible until they are able to depart Sint Maarten—this is our primary concern. Guests are currently in on-property safe areas at the resorts.
Due to the damages the resorts suffered, all further reservations from now through the end of 2017 will be cancelled.
All prep-paid reservations from now through the end of 2017 will be refunded as soon as we can restore operations, pending future updates and situation assessment. All other reservations will be treated according to the cancellation policy of the reservation. For more information, please call 1-800-SONESTA.
Any information regarding island-wide initiatives or evacuation is pending government statement and instructions.
We will provide more details as soon as we are able to make better assessment of the damages.

awesome! Thanks. The weather will be perfect. Always is when we travel.
6:30 may be a good time because the 7:00 theatre people who eat before the show will be finishing up.
The walk should be fine unless the weather is crappy.
Did you decide on the Book of Mormon?
If that is what you decided it's about 5 blocks I think. No problemo
I think we'll go to the matinee at 2 so eat after. I'm thinking 6:30. Too early?
I'm guessing we can walk from the theater section to 54th street pretty easily?
It occured to me that many people here travel & do research on various destinations prior to making their arrangements. In addition, many can offer tips based on their completed travels and, in so doing, assist others who may have some questions WRT their plans.
