I can't say I'm surprised with what happened as what I thought would actually happen was perfect in my opinion by my prediction. Now in reality if it was up to me I would of flipped hannah and adam, but they in my opinion got the winner right.

spoiler alert for the finale'- but i will build up to the end vs post it right here in the first line......

3 hours of shows,,, ouch... .. so, the first hour was just them talking about the repeat of the show the night before.

so, i f/f through it all.

then, in the two hour show, there was much fluff with outsider singers. I skip through all that too. some of the stuff was embarrassing and some ok.

but then Sia (the freak lady with the wig and covered eyes) performs the same song she did recently but this time makes her dancers where baskets on there butts? wow, very strange. i never knew she was the first winner of the voice, as thats what they said.

i did like the duet with alisan and jennifer.

omg........... so, I f/f to the end....

Laith is the bottom man,, at 4th. shocked!

Hannah (who i was sure would win) is 3rd place... (double shocked)

adam is 2nd and ...

alisan wins. hmmmm. oh well, they were all good so, it is what it is.

not feeling well tonight, i think i caught something at dinner the other night. I was the only english speaking person in the restaurant and the 3rd world country folks, all around me, were sick and their tons of little kids were hacking all over the place and running around like its their playground, sooooooooo, i'm sure i got it there. sigh. Final Performances

As per my usual, all notes were taken before the coaches comments and not changed. I did not watch the show until this morning, so as usual I did not read any posts here; I will do so after my comments.


Laith - Not a good song choice for a finals performance. Laith is better than this, he needed a song with more voice in it. B-

Alisan Original - This is a good song, I liked it. B+

Adam & Blake Duet - I would have picked a better song, this is the finals, but, I did like it. B+

Hannah - A smart song choice. However, when you remove the driving beat of the song you remove the hart of the song. Still, it was a good performance. B+

Laith & Adam Duet - Good song choice and very smartly performed. B+

Alisan & Christina Duet - Very smart song choice. You can tell Christina really likes Alisan because this is one of few times she steps back and lets her singer be the star. Best duet thus far. A

Adam's Original - I really like this; If this was officially released he would be in the Top 20-Country charts in a minute. A+

Hannah & Pharell Duet - Boo! F

Laith Original - A very good song, I like it. B+

Adam - This is true favorite of mine and I have never heard anybody else attempt it; Blake was smart to tell him to stay true to the original. This was a good performance, but... he was missing the 'pain' that Vince sang it and that is what makes this song, it left the song a little empty. Still, it was a pretty good performance. A-

Hannah Original with Pharrell - I like it. but it is extremely repetitive and it sounded like a Pharrell song to me. B-

Alisan - A very good song choice, smart, very very smartly played. We knew Alisan had the voice for this when ewe heard what she was going to sing, and she did not let us down. Wow, a great performance. A+


I think this comes down to who America wants the most between Adam & Alisan.

Laith is really good, I'll buy his Blues inspired CDs. However, this is The Voice, while I do like his voice, it not a winner The Voice.

Hannah has talent and on the right songs she is very good. But she has a tendency to reach to high on some notes and comes too close to failing on some song choices. She to is just not a winner of The Voice.

Alisan has a great voice and she can really belt out a tune, if she puts out a good bluesy or country type CD I'll buy it. She has a very good chance of being the winner tonight; especially with having the closing performance last night. All of Christina's pleas to let The Voice have a female winner, both singer and coach is a big plus for Alisan. However, as good as Alisan is, and she is very good, I think she gets a bit screechy and I would put her in the runner up position.

Adam is the winner in my book, he has such a good voice, it's bluesy, it got soul and it is a very 'warm' voice. He also plays a lot instruments and can write as well. I just think he has a big future in the music industry, I see him as a country performer, and a country crossover singer; pop is not out of the equation with him either.

With That Said - I believe it will come down to Adam and Alisan; it depends on who does the most voting. Either way, America is the winner as I thin all 4-finalist have careers in front of them, especially Adam and Alison.

ya, as she walked off stage and to her judge she said "i forgot the words" and it was her very own song. i dont think she realized her mic was still on and it had hardly any words at that. she wrote that song.

My Take on the show

Laith- didn't love the song, and I thought it was just okay for me.

Grade C

Allisan- I liked her original song the best, she sang it well, a few minor vocal issues but all in all a good job, and a good song.

Grade B+

Blake and Adam- Didn't like the song, and I thought Blake outsung Adam. I thought this was the weakest duet of the bunch in my opinion.

Grade D+

Hannah- Changed that song completely But it worked. It was outstanding job, it was haunting the way she did it. I love it personally. Great performance one of the best of the season.

Grade A

Laith and Adam- Decent duet, but far from great either. I liked it but I wouldn't say it was rememberable either.

Grade C+

Christina- And Allisan- Best duet of the night not even close. They both sang well and they did a good Job.

Grade A-

Adam- Was okay, but half the song he was mumbiling and couldn't understand him so that will only score so high for me.

Grade C

Hannah + Pharell- I thought it was entertaining, and I thought it was a solid duet.

Grade B-

Laith- I thought it was decent, and his best of the night was the original song, but can't say I was overly excited either. solid but should finish 4th in my opinion.

Grade B-

Adam- a tale of two song the first half was flat the second half was really good. Overall I thought it was solid. Should finish 3rd but I think he will finish 2nd.

Grade B-

Hannah- That song had very few words, didn't here the part that she forgot the words. That was the most repetitive song I ever heard, I felt like it was running on a loop or something. I didn't mind the song, but the repetitiveness can only make me score it so high, and her vocal was decent on what she was singing.

Grade B-

Allisan- Without a doubt the best performance of the night. And it tough for me to say that because I thought hannah performance was a 10 and I never heard that song covered that way and it was brilliant, but allisan voice left planet earth on that song she soared so high. It was so perfect. This and stone cold were the two moments she had that nobody could top.

Although admittingly I have not been as a big of fan of her as the judges Allisan one the night, but I thought hannha was very good. if they give this to a guy this is a joke, the girls so outsung them it isn't even close in my opinion.

laith- i didnt like the song choice but never did like that song anyway. he gave it all he had. got a little pitchy when excited.

alisan- good but a bit whiney sounding. judges even seemed to run out of things to say and seemed tired of giving reviews.

hannah- wow, with Stings "every breath you take".... got chills with the minor chords and the transition to other parts of the song. and i was thinking how it is worthy of the next 007 movie theme song, and then the host said it was "cool, in a james bond way"

i got a kick out of the duet with laith and judge adam with that beetles song as it transported me back to about the age of 4 or 5. my brothers would play it on a 45 (thats a one song only record, for you youngins).

alisan and christina duet, sadly, as throughout the show, its all about C's boobs and how much she can push them out, through the huge opening in her dress. i have said all along here, and on idol that when the ladies do that, its just weird and inappropriate.

adam- uh oh... something was off... lacked energy and he was flat at times. but judges gushed as they did all night and season.

round 2- ding ding...

laith- i loved it

adam- flat again.. thats too bad, as i like him a lot. but was better at the louder parts.

hannah- interesting... 60's era sounding type of song.. but with her mike on, she told the judge that she forgot the words (to her own song that she wrote).. did you guys catch that?

alisan- love this song and she knocked it out of the park. perfectly done but judge christina had to up her by spreading her arms so wide that her whole bra and boobs were showing. i just dont get that.

i think hannah will win, but if not, i call laith as the winner.

my fav song of the night was "every breath you take" by hannah.

Top 8 To 4 Results

First artist saved - Adam, this was expected as honestly I think he has the best on the show.

Alicia Keys sings - I like Alcia, but this was boring song.

Second artist saved - Alisan, America is doing well so far Alisan has the second best voice on the and the only real threat to Adam at this point.

One Republic sings - Good voices but I'm not impressed.

Third artist saved is announced - Hannah, I'm not totally surprised here as Hannah has been doing well the last couple of weeks, and she had a great performance on Monday.

First two going home are Paxton and Shalyah; I don't think anybody is surprised with this as these two were the weakest.

Three singing to stay are Bryan, Laith & Mary.

Mary Sara - Not a good song choice or effort. C

Bryan - I don't think this was a good 'Save' song choice either, he may be going home. B-

Laith - Wow, risky song choice, but Laith kicked ass on this classic.

I think Laith was the best tonight, but America might choose Bryan as he is a pretty boy and young girls do vote heavy. B+

Laith is saved and moves on!

Bryan & Mary are going home. I am pretty sure we will here from Mary Sara again, she is real country. We might be hearing from Bryan too as when he is good he is truly good.

America did a real good job last night, they got it bright again.

I believe America wasn't wrong they picked the right bottom 2, it would of laith in the top 3, but they rewarded hannah (deservingly so) for the amazing performance she had the previous night, that performance made the difference between her being in the top 3 and probably finishing 5th and being out to mary sarah in my opinion.

Will America Get It Right?

As long as Paxton and Shylah (Eventhough I like her hasn't been good the last couple of weeks and that is kind of what matters at this point.) are in the bottom 4, america didn't make a mistake because to me the other 6 I can make a case for and a case against each one, at this point it is more personal/preference picking 4/6 rather then a right/wrong answer in my opinion.

A good review with most that I agree. It is funny you mentioned Olivia Newton John, for I just stated that Hannah has a lot of talent but just a 'very good voice' and nothing too special, and to me that is just what Olivia Newton John was.

Semifinal Performances

As per my usual all notes were taken before the coaches comments and not changed.

Shalyah - Technically good but she has let the all of the attention go to her and lost track; she pushes too hard; This performance was seriously overdone. C

Adam & Alisan - Not great but good. However, they needed a song with more energy. B & B

Paxton - A fair performance but I did not like it. C

Laith - Brave song choice. It worked, I really liked this, it wasn't perfect but it was very good. A

Bryan & Mary - Very professional, solid effort by both artist. B+ & B+

Alisan - Good song choice, a fav'. She pushed it too hard in the last verse, but still it was a great performance. A

Hannah & Laith - Not great song but a good one. Both artist were good but Laith was better Alisan B Laith B+

Adam - Good song choice. Adam had some weak spots with this, but overall it was a pretty good dang performance. A+

Bryan - Wow, that was very good; a couple of misses but a solid effort. A

Paxton & Shalyah - For me this was a contest of who could out voice style the other; they should have just sang the song, instead they over-performed and it stunk. F

Hannah - Great song choice, but be careful, it is a classic, Pharrell just gave her some really good advice. Poor Hannah, all the right tools, tactics and desire but only a good voice and nothing too special. This is truly sad as this girl can really sing, it was a great effort and great performance, probably the performance of the night. A

All i all it was a good night, the duets were weak but the solos were pretty good for the most part, and the band was really good too.

It is a tough choice picking just the top four as most really put up some good performances. However, it it were up to me my bottom four would be:

Bryan, Hannah, Paxton & Shalyah,

but I would not be surprised to see Hannah or Bryan to replace any of the four I just listed.

With that said, I would not be totally shocked if Laith is sent home, he is a damn good Blues artist but not everybody appreciates the the Blues. But again, for me I stand by the four on the bottom I have listed above.

My Take on Last nights show.

First off I disliked every duet. I thought they all weren't great in varying degrees.

1) Shyalah- I am a fan, but the last couple of weeks she has hit the skids, I didn't love her tone on that. And she was off in parts. I know she can sing and She hit some good notes along the way, but for me it was just average. She will be going home.

Grade C

2) Paxton- second half was better then first, but first was pretty bad. Overall didn't love it, he is simply the weakest singer left. Slightly Better then last week though in my opinion.

Grade D+

3) Laith- Way Better guitar player then a singer in my opinion. Did a good Job, and was rock solid, as he is every week. On the fence with at this point, whether it was enough. My knock on him Is I always feel he is like a B or B+ performance he rarely reaches the great performance, which is what I need from a winner at this point. He is a great guitar player though, but it is about the voice at the end of the day. Not saying I don't like him, I think he is good, he always is, it just that is what I think about him period, and that greatness outside of his guitar will never be hit, then again there is something to be said about Consistency as well.

4) Allisan- Sang well for the most part, but went off the rails in the middle of the song. it hurt the performance. But doubt she gets cuts.

5) Adam- started off shakey, but finished real strong. I liked his performance overall at this point for me he was the best of the night, although it didn't stay that way. He should make it through.

6) Bryan- He was very good on a difficult song. Hit one bad note for me in the middle of the song, but other then that was very good. Slight edge over adam for me, not sure if he makes it through either.

Grade B+

7) Mary- I though another really good performance she sang well and did and excellent job singing that song, I felt her. Originally was not a fan but she has changed my opinion over the course of the season. She may make it through.

Grade B+

8) Hannah- Had the best performance of the night for me, her end to that song was amazing. She has done very well and could easily make it through then again could not.

Grade A-

Depending on how your judging I see 6 people for 4 spots. if it was up to me I would choose.

But any variation of those 6 making 4 spots wouldn't surprise me i thought Bryan had no shot coming in and shalyah didn't help her cause, but bryan had his best performance to date at the right, and shylah has went in to the tank. we knew paxton would go this week. So bettween the 6 4 will come out and to be honest this is the most subject way to come out with 4 because we could ask 5 people and come out with a different 4 in my opinion, because it is that close in my opinion.

shalyah- more angry black woman yelling, vs singing, yet again... didnt like it

i greatly enjoyed the duet with alisan and adam.

paxton- yuck, as usual

laith- started off a bit week but went into his good gruff voice and did way better then. love the guitar as usual.

alisan- started off good but it got away from her a little bit, then she got back on track.

then laith did a duet but was really cheesy.

adam- hmmm. not as good as i had hoped form him, but i do love his style in general. the background singers voices clashed with his imo.

bryan- he knocked this one out of the park. partly due to the great words/msg of the song but also, wow, what a hard song to do and he did it. i was oddly surprised with him.

mary- very good, a little nasally/yodley.... that song brings me back. sadly, she got a little boring later in the song.

hannah- wow! and reminded me a bit of olivia newton john, both the voice and her look.

Live Top 9 Performances

My apologies for the tardy post, I did not get a chance to watch the show until just a bit ago. As per my usual all notes were taken before the coaches comments and not changed.

Team Blake's Paxton Ingram - As you know, I am not a fan, but this was one of his better efforts. B-

Team Blake's Mary Sara - I liked it, not an oldie (which I do like) and one her best. B

Team Christina's Nick Hagelin - Hit & Miss, The good stuff was good and I liked it, the attempts at the high notes were the bad. C-

Team Pharrell's Hannah Huston - I liked the song and most of what she did with it. I do not care for her voice when she reaches for notes she can't get. B

Team Adam's Shalyah Fearing - Adam just gave Salya some good advice, I hope she listened. She tried too hard and left foot prints all over a beloved classic. C-

Team Adam's Laith Al-Saadi - A Good song and a good performance; still it was not his best. B+

Team Blake's Adam Wakefield - Not a great song choice, but he did well with it, again, not his best either. B+

paxton- yuck

mary- she goes "ehhh" too much, after many of her lines". it was good but boring.

nick- on key and all but i hate that girly voice. and what was he wearing? some sort of mid east, in the desert dress?

hannah- it was good, she looked great, but it got away from her some and i still dont like all the churchy background they are adding to these songs. it got boring too.

shalyah- another black victim type of song. you are not a victim! it was also sang over the top.

laith (i was like, come on laith, lets get this show going) but sadly, it was not good. i had to close my eyes and really listen, to see if its better than with my eyes open, but nope, it was boring, bland, i even f/f through the rest.

all along, the judges gush over everyone so i only peek at part of their replies and f/f them too anymore.

i did crack up though about one of the judges saying how bad the audience was at clapping in time... haha. so true.

adam- boring and churchy

alisan- uh oh... not good. and wow, did you see the insane amount of large dust floating around in the light there? its a wonder they dont choke or sneeze.

bryan- once again, too girly for me, but at least was in key and clear but i never liked his singing anyway.

worst show for me so far, this season.. last week, i had 3 highlights of greatness, to show the hubby,,,, this week, NO one stood out.

My Take on the Show

1) Paxton- He comes out and reverts back to that awful tone on this song. worst of the night and it wasn't even close.

Grade D-

2) Mary- Solid Song, solid performance. Overall a good job. She seems to be getting a bit better for me.

Grade B+

3) Nick- Medicore vocal, didn't love it, didn't hate. it was bordering on okay and that is a stretch.

Grade C-

4) Hannah- Outside of one not so great note. I thought she did a very good job on that song. Sang well, liked how she did it. Felt something.

Grade A-

5) Shalyah- I'm a fan and yes she can sing, But that was so overdone for me. I didn't like her version, seemed like she was scheeching a bit on that rather then pure power. Hit a lot of good notes along the way though. But overall thought it was average.

Grade C

6) Laith- Technically sang fine. But seemed like their was missing something with that song, I felt a little disconnected would be the word I would use. Decent performance, but I have seen him better, and I have seen that song covered better.

8) Allison- I know she can do all the vocal olympics, but her tone on that song I found very annoying. This song wasn't great. Yes she can do all the vocal tricks we get it, but it is also about how you use those tricks, and package them. For me this package was (a) A Bit over the top (B) Her tone didn't play well on that song (c) wrong song choice for her. Don't get me wrong she has a ton of talent, but I wouldn't exactly want to listen to that that long.

9) Bryan- I thought he was solid, way better then the last couple of weeks. I t was pretty good, but did have a few imperfections along the way.
