I suspect he was using the mobile app, and a giant popup ad distracted him.
So was Santa using the I-Hub full web-site or the app. on his phone when this crash occurred?
Rudolf suffering with a head cold crashed into the advfn internet tower on a test run of the new sleigh. Fortunately, none of the elves were seriously injured. One elf on the ground sustained 1st degree burns from spilled hot chocolate.
Looks like it's fixed. Thanks. Curious to know what caused it.
Snails stuck in frozen molasses move faster.
There were times last night when I could not get to the site at all.
Oh, well.
If this is the worst thing that happens to me today, I will consider myself very lucky.
Merry Christmas or a generic Happy Holidays to you.
Yes, intermittent slowness & timeouts again.
Cannot view boards as a whole by clicking on the name in my favorites or from a displayed message.
This was going on last night around 8:00 EST and is happening again.
Are OTC foreign issue ticker and Canadian listed company dual message board listings being discontinued?
This is pretty disturbing if so. I, for one, do not trade on a Canadian exchange and it is important to follow the foreign issue chart, at the message board level.
What would be the reason to do this?
Why are you doing that while "driving"?
I find it "especially irritating" to have to file reports and tell someone their loved one is dead because they were to busy playing with their cell phone to concentrate on driving.
LOLOLOLOLISSIMO!!
I'll commit to using it for more than angrily editing my posts until the edit issue is addressed one way or another, just in case. What am I even doing? I could've just had Garyst tell me it will be fine, just to stick with it....
LOL!! You could be right about that. But just try accessing IHub on your phone's OS. Works like a charm.
Starting to think there's a "generational" gap, not in terms of age but in terms of longevity here. A lot of the "old timers" only had the full site for years. I came in late, the app was already out so I gravitated towards it as my primary gateway to iHub. I equate it to my fathers refusal to acknowledge Nissan as opposed to Datsun
I just don't find the app useful. I can post, edit, whatever, while using the full site on OS. Yes, it's a little small and squinty, but still preferable.
I understood what he was saying, I found it largely purposeless though I know it was well intended (don't be offended Homebrew, direct honesty is my policy and I appreciate your taking the time to reach out) I do much more reading than I do posting and I just find the app easier to use for those 2 purposes, mostly because I am always mobile so I have little experience with the desktop site either via phone or actual PC. The lack of an edit feature is the most glaring omission to me, others could be thrown at the wall too, there's no 'next post' option when reading, have to continuously go back to the main board to get to the next post. I'm getting the impression the masses prefer the desktop site which would explain why it's 2017 and it still hasn't been addressed. I use the desktop site to edit almost exclusively, and to change the avi rarely. I find posting easier from the app given my particular circumstance, especially during the work day, the app allows me to get in and out quickly. Aside from my personal preference, seems like in the instance of user-friendliness, the app should've been designed with all desktop features compatible with however an app works. Meatloaf has been responsive to the issue here citing it as a possible oversight. I also want an edit button for Twitter but nobody there cares what I'm whining about. Meatloaf is better than Twitter is the moral of the story now.
Do you understand what he meant? He uses the full site on his phone, not the app. That's what I do, too. I tried the app years ago, and hated it. Haven't been back to it.
Not talking about the full site, I'm aware of its functionality. The issue that has been grinding my gears is when autocorrect switches to the wrong there/their or when I'd like to add/change something else I have to go to the desktop site to do it, which is cumbersome at best, takes an extra half dozen steps to get out of the app, onto the desktop site to edit, and then back to the app. The app is much more user friendly board-wise and I will continue to use it regardless, just a small improvement that would make a ton of difference for more than just me. I'm actually a little taken aback that I appear to be the first one that has brought this up directly to someone that can effect potential change though it's been suggested indirectly to admin/geek many times on many boards over the last 5 years in the form of people bitching out loud to nobody. It's especially irritating to have to do all that while I'm driving
I use the "full site" on my phone. Works great.
That's funny, good one.
Except their own appple videos of course.
Not likely. That's part of some ad. The slowness shows up even with no ads.
I don't do the mobile app - but I'll try to generate some interest in adding an edit feature. Seems to be an oversight.
Question, I am aware this has been brought up, probably countless times, but I was checking in on the feasibility of an 'edit post' feature on the mobile app. I know nothing about the inner workings of apps and I assume that if it was easy it would've been done already. Just looking for a better explanation than "must be hard to do". Would this be more of a parent company thing? Or do you guys have powers beyond troubleshooting?
You know how this place works, right? If it turns out that broken glass ends up valuable there will be dozens of "companies" here that enter the broken glass arena, touting their "patent pending" process of glass breaking and how the way they break glass is better than everyone else's, so much so that a Fortune 500 company will be sniffing around to partner up so they can break their glass for them too...and people would eat it up, literally and figuratively. Eating broken glass in some cases is preferable to putting money into the OTC
They certainly are...
Popping up like poisonous mushrooms.
Touché and a Merry Christmas to you as well sir/ghoul/energized entity
what would be a good one?
You may be looking in the wrong venue,
There might be one. Good luck finding it.
trying to find a no scam one
And tomorrow, there will be at least 100.
It's crazy. Ordinary penny companies have only to announce a switch to cryptocurrency and their stock price will soar a few hundred percent. Or more.
Have you seen the 1 year charts on HempCoin and DopeCoin?
Weeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!
TrumpCoin on the other hand... Wow, looks like naked shorts are in charge there!
And that doesn't include all the "normal" penny stocks that are suddenly now cryptocurrency stocks.
is there any boards or stock message boards for crypto currency stocks?
I'd guess there're at least 50...
And Apple has admitted to doing something else, too.

I was wondering if you knew where Jingle Shells was???? She's a very good friend of mine and I miss her this time of year. If you see her, could you tell her this for me:
Virtually all of them.
is there any boards or stock message boards for crypto currency stocks?
Speaking of that kind of thing, Apple has recently done something nice for users. I recently downloaded the newest version of its newest OS--High Sierra--and found that they've automatically blocked sound on all those annoying autoplay videos and popups.
That's helpful.
I'm not a techie. Chrome generally works fine for me. A few exceptions re. one or two sites where I'll use Edge as it's crammed into my machine from the purchase date.
Otherwise, by using Chrome and their email, I'm getting Youtube with no ads (no, I'm not a premium member of that either) so if they scratch my back, I'll stick with them.
I saw a touchy tech is working on this so I'll just be patient for now and go watch an episode of CSI - Whoville!
I generally use Safari. It's fine with that. But Firefox can be problematic sometimes.
I am using Google Chrome. No issues until a few days ago.
Seems better than earlier right now. I was out for a few hours.
