Another 419 error message. In posting just now to Trinityz1 here. Just on first attempt. Posted by copying the intended post content, than back-arrowing to his post then replying to it again. Seems to always work the 2nd time. Am including detail in case it may be helpful to our tech maestros.
I just got three. Thinking one for the arrival of yours. And maybe the other two were duplicates for the other two messages which have been in the mailbox for a time. Just now as i'm typing this i got FOUR more. They must duplicate themselves. Umm, if that's part of the deal the message notifications quirk could be as something like the virus.
lol, except that it doesn't have a logical explanation.
Trinityz1, Even suggesting in jest (if yours was) that a tech problem evolves as a biological
virus evolves smells like an anti-vax comment and as such would be highly irresponsible.
Don't forget your flu season approaches, that there is plenty of virus around and
most importantly that you have serious pockets of unvaccinated Americans.
I just got one, too...
somehow this reminds me of covid-19 and vaccinations.......
LOL Message received notifications - YIKES - are another. They seem to swarm when i go to reply to a message already in mailbox. Like your message just entered, i got notification. Then on going to reply to yours i got about five more notifications. Am guessing part of the deal must be that they bank up when messages arrive into a computer which is turned off. Then on going to mailbox the first time of a session they come in. Though then sometimes it seems to happen more than once. There are only three i haven't replied to in the box now. Guessing i won't get another swarm. Heh, seems now i'm trying to conduct an experiment. LOL
I hadn't had it for quite a while either. It's like a lurker who is shooed away and returns as mosquitoes you just miss do.
That's another problem that's been fixed a number of times, and keeps coming back.
Funny that they keep fixing it, and it keeps coming back. I haven't had it today...
I'm on Google Chrome and had a similar experience.
It seems to have been fixed by the powers that be.
I just got the 419 error message about five times. Two posts today, the message interrupted on both
posts on the initial "submit post" attempt. In editing the first post i got the error message twice again.
"419 PAGE EXPIRED" is a nuisance. That i just grabbed from yours.
Just got another. I don't think it's the browser (Edge). I copy the text, cancel the post, then try again. It works. Easy to get around. Just annoying.
Me too, about 30 minutes ago. But I get tired of reporting problems with iHub.
Funny, I got the EXPIRED ERROR, when trying to post this response, so I tried another browser.
EDIT:
And it worked.
Just got the "page expired" message again.
Give it plenty of thought first. Don't tire yourself.
You're too kind. I love studying IHUB history because it's nice reading about people who try to overcome a lifetime of financial difficulties against all odds.
It's very relatable to me, a person who might make a phone call tomorrow afternoon.

For the past couple of days, The search box is once again frequently cutting off the last letter of the keyword you type in...
Don't people have more important things to worry about?
FFS...
Excellent advice!!
Thanks I just dm's them and they told me. I just have not been around for the past few years and didn't know.
I very rarely see boards shut down. Occasionally renamed, or closed if duplicates.
"...Did yawl shut down a lot of boards the past couple of years? What are the reasons?..."
"AF" is vague and does not use a vulgar word, so it doesn't violate TOS. As a mod, I remove posts that use specific vulgar words, or spell the word slightly incorrectly in an attempt to avoid notice by mods, or have vulgar descriptions (violence, porn etc...)
"...So "I don't give AF" is considered polite?...."
"Who should I ask the next time I have a question?"
Ask the wisest wise guy on I-Hub:

IH Admin [Shelly]
My apologies if I did something to offend you, Shelly. Why do you have me blocked? So "I don't give AF" is considered polite? OK
Sorry, have your messages blocked (this dialog possibly an example of why).
As Porgie pointed out - crucial missing content in your screenshot. "Note that there are also 'polite versions' for many acronyms and these are assumed to be the case when in doubt (i.e. 'wtf?' = 'what the freak?' is the polite version)."
And, yeah, the above can be found in the link you provided.
So, to answer your original question on this board - yes, the terms you mentioned are fine as they are considered a "polite" version.
If you have any further questions, you might want to reply to or ask another Admin for a timely response.
Glty
If you can give me a few examples of what you're referencing, I can take a look

I would like to reluctantly resign as a moderator.
If I could figure out how, I would do it myself. However, I have given up trying to figure out how to do it. so HELP!
I am asking [Shelly]
The numbers and letters took me 30 seconds to put together, LOL, TOTALLY INAPPROPRIATE
Vulgarity is in the eyes of the Admin beholder. There's very little chance that an Admin will simply interpret f'n as freakin' or flippin'.
English can be weird. It can be understood through tough thorough thought, though.
For example, this seemingly random string of letters and numbers may appear vulgar to some IHUB Admins:
U, R, 2, 6C. I, 1, 2, 4, Q.

IH Admin [Shelly], I asked this question here last week and it was ignored. I'd appreciate an answer to my question, thank you.

A VERY long time ago...
That one occurred likely years ago.

Yeah, but I was thinking it was the next one on this board. It's not. That one occurred years ago.
Edit: Yep, 2003! https://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=743499
Would 20302 be one?
Yes. It's a palindrome.
Yes, Matt gave us money, and Clem gave us PlusOne 'coins'.

Wow - I recall hearing about iHub giving t shirts away but $1k - if I didn't see it in writing, I wouldn't have believed it!
Gone are the days of the Golden Age of IHUB, when they rewarded Grubs with prizes.
From Bob Zumbrunnen in 2006:

10 Millionth Post Grub and WAG Prizes
To celebrate our reaching the 10-million post mark, we're going to give away some prizes as a way to thank the community who has made this possible.
The prizes are as follows:
* $1,000 to the person who posts the 10 millionth post.
* $50 each and a Free Annual Subscription to the people who post number 9,999,999 and 10,000,001.
* $250 to the person who comes closest to guessing the exact date and time of the 10 millionth post.
Rules:
* Eligible winning posts must be Public posts on market-related boards (the post needs to be about stocks, not random chatter).
* Eligible winning posts must comply with our Terms of Use.
* If the 10 millionth post doesn't meet the above rules, the award goes to the next post after it that does. Same for post 10,000,001.
* If the 9,999,999th post doesn't meet the above rules, the award goes to the previous post that does.
* Entries by Employees of Investors Hub and Silicon Investor are ineligible.
When we've reached this milestone, we'll issue a Press Release and each of the 4 winners may be quoted in it at their and our discretion.
Good luck everyone, and thanks again for making this huge milestone possible!
Matt, Bob, and Dave

Ha and my point is proven - numbers are not my thing. lol
Yes, 20302 is a palindrome, but this board is in 6 digits, 203302
Off the top of my head, I'd say 203302.
We've got a few to go before we get there.
I love playing with numbers. Got into college as a math major.
Once I got there, I decided I'd rather have a good time so...
I are an English major. <g>
Stay safe and have a good one, Miss Shelly.
Ha- I don't think so! I'm trying to think of what the next one on this board would be. I can't even come up with what the next Grub! on this board would be. Would 20302 be one? I don't think so.
It was probably more fun and doable when the site was in it's infancy. You know in single, double and triple digits. I wonder if that's why it kind of died out. Too few and far in between these days.
I'm not sure what you're looking for here. In your profile you can click on latest posts or Last 50 to see your past posts if that helps.
I'd never heard the poker hand reference either.
When trying to find one of these, I've discovered in general I'm not a numbers person. They just don't register unless they're needed. Like my odometer - I have zero clue how many miles I have on my car - I mean...none. The only time I look at it is when I want to check if it's time for an oil change yet. Ha
