SP'S SUPERBOWL TAKE:

First off I would like to say that if you are chosen to sing the National Anthem a month in advance, LEARN THE FRIKKEN WORDS!! IDIOT!

You were a Mouseketeer and what is more Americana than that? At least when Roseanne Barr grabbed her crotch and spat after her rendition, she got the words right.

I am so used to changing the channel or getting food and drink, I missed half of the commercials...screw them who cares.

The field was so unforgiving that several players were injured. IMO, play the frikken game on natural grass in a warm climate
so there is no weather excuse...LA, Miami even Hawaii would be great.

I was doing chemicals to my Hot Tub during the Halftime show because all I heard was The Black Eyed Peas were performing. I didn't know Slash was to perform and I'm glad I didn't. I heard the sound person hacked the volume on his Ax.

Not to mention some of the ticket holders got 3 times face value ($2700) because some of the seating wasn't ready or the fire marshall denied them to be open because it didn't pass code.

Jerry Jones should never get another shot at hosting a Super Bowl. It was a mockery of a sham of a JOKE! Stanford did a better job than you in Superbowl 19. Dude flew all over the stadium with a jet pack. If any man saw that and didn't want to do that, then they're wussies.

The football game, however, was a pretty good one. Congrats to the Green Bay Packers for their 4th Superbowl Championship and their 13th NFL Title. Pittsburgh had a valiant effort, just too many turnovers.

One more thought...there should be no Halftime Show. There is so much time before the Superbowl starts that it should be done all Pre-Game.

The reason why I say this, is I am going Sturgeon fishing on Saturday. It is currently catch & release until the state has a meeting on 2/4/11 when they will decide when to open the season.

I am going fishing with a someone from work that just told me we may have a camera crew on board.

2 weeks ago, he and his brother caught about 30 catch & release Sturgeon, with the largest being 8 1/2 feet long.

This past Saturday, they caught around the same, but only 5 were within the limit of 38" to 54", a few that were too small and the majority that were oversized.

He also runs a Sturgeon Tournament up here and proceeds go to one of the local charities in the Portland area.

Needless to say, I'M FIRED UP!!!

Agree with everyone except the Bears. They are a 10 point favorite and I happen to be a big fan, so they have that going for them as well!!!! Would REALLY REALLY REALLY like to see Atlanta upset Green Bay. There have been a couple already, so maybe the trend will continue with them, and end with the Bears.

I missed the first qtr or you would have heard my rant on it-things kinda seemed pro-Auburn but like you said he was the star player and was great but as close as the game was one play could have changed the outcome--glad I missed that play-lol

I agree. One thing I noticed that I haven't heard from anyone else: Newton DID have the ball stripped from him, and it was a lost fumble, but the refs blew the call. It probably would have changed the entire game. It was on the first or second Auburn possession when he got sacked deep in their own territory, and the Oregon defender picked up the loose ball with nothing between himself and the endzone, but the refs blew it dead. I replayed that over several times and couldn't believe that both the announcers and the officials missed it. The ball was clearly loose before Cam was down. My guess is that since it was early in the game, no one was paying attention yet and they were all caught up in the heisman hype.

My 13 year old daughter was even saying "Throw the Football."

Auburn watched enough film to nail whoever had the football in the backfield.

And yes, I told everyone in my office building that no one else is predicting OT, so I am...and missed it by a last second field goal (Cat, the staff did hit the ground, just didn't shake it enough).

Sorry, I haven't been around much...a lot of turmoil in our city where I work...the new mayor wants to fire the City Manager because he's a self-serving jerk.

Congrats to Auburn, Oregon, TCU and Stanford...they had Killer Seasons.

was a great game and you can't say Oregon did not blow a few chances-I could not understand why they tried to run up the middle when it was well proven in the first half that the Tigers line was having no part of it-yet they tried it 30 more times for zero yards,come on coach-one of the best Championships in a long time the ducks just were not strong enough to handle either line off/def and they could not stop the run- good game congrats on your call Captain -not quite a bloody as predicted but it left no doubts on who the better team was-
