$WOGI Chart analysis - potential break out?
Higher lows. A true test of resistance coming up at .007. Very nice
hammer formed on the chart today.
The Hammer is a bullish reversal pattern that forms after a decline. In addition to a potential trend reversal, hammers can mark bottoms or support levels. After a decline, hammers signal a bullish revival. The low of the long lower shadow implies that sellers drove prices lower during the session. However, the strong finish indicates that buyers regained their footing to end the session on a strong note. While this may seem enough to act on, hammers require further bullish confirmation. The low of the hammer shows that plenty of sellers remain. Further buying pressure, and preferably on expanding volume, is needed before acting. Such confirmation could come from a gap up or long white candlestick. Hammers are similar to selling climaxes, and heavy volume can serve to reinforce the validity of the reversal.

DEFINITION OF 'GOLDEN CROSS'
http://www.investopedia.com/terms/g/goldencross.asp
~As long-term indicators carry more weight, the Golden Cross indicates a bull market on the horizon and is reinforced by high trading volumes. Additionally, the long-term moving average becomes the new support level in the rising market.
~Technicians might see this cross as a sign that the market has turned in favor of the stock.
$CNNA .0002 x .0004 - L2 is extremely thin. When she decides to run, it's going to be epic.

Sector and industry trends
When an entire industry or sector (if you don't know the difference between the two categories, check out the nearby sidebar, what sector is your industry in?) is affected by a trend, it will create both profit opportunities and risk. Some famous trends that have changed sectors and industries involved the move away from smoking and fur coats, the development and growth of the Internet, and the move toward greater security measures after the attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon on September 11, 2001.
A trend of rising oil prices will affect penny stocks in the oil production industry. Oil companies will be pumping and selling a more valuable commodity, so their share price should benefit. This trend would also affect other energy sources, such as those in the renewable energy, nuclear, and coal industries, because these industries may become proportionally less costly in comparison and so see demand rise.
Stay in tune with trends affecting various industry groups by keeping the following considerations in mind:
- Be on the lookout. By simply paying attention to trends in the first place, you will find that you start to notice them. The more you notice, the more you will begin to understand how they may affect the penny stocks you're watching.
- Follow the media. The news media both creates and follows trends. By paying attention to what trends the media is focused on, you have a pretty good handle on what’s trending in society. For example, as media coverage of the Occupy Wall Street dropped off rapidly, you would have been able to surmise that the popularity of the movement would diminish.
- Read industry and trade publications. By reading newspapers, magazines, and blogs that are specific to certain types of industries, you will be able to pick up on trends that may affect certain penny stocks. Importantly, because these are niche publications and not as widely followed, you will have a trading advantage over traders who only look to the mass market for their information. For example, if you read medical publications and find out that the government is considering changing its regulation of stem cell research, you may find opportunities by getting ahead of the curve with your related investments.
- Ask the companies you're following. The penny stocks you're following already know what trends are likely to impact their operations. Call the company and ask them straight up. (I give you tips for calling companies earlier in this chapter.)
If you anticipate a sector or industry trend and position yourself accordingly with your penny stock investments, you stand to benefit a lot more than traders who didn’t see it coming. Many of the bigger trends can last for years and transform entire business landscapes — and the portfolio values of many investors along with it.
Free newsletters
Free penny stock newsletters make up the vast majority of publications about low-priced shares. As the name implies, you can access them at no cost; instead, all you need to do to receive their free alerts about stocks they claim will explode in price is to provide them with your e-mail address.
Generally, free newsletters and stock-alert promoters run websites to drive pump-and-dump schemes. In such schemes, price manipulators buy millions of shares in the company for pennies, tell their subscribers that this company is the next big thing, and then sell their holdings as foolish investors buy the stock for hundreds of times more than it is worth. As soon as the promoter unloads his shares on the market, the share price collapses far below what his subscribers paid. Most investors who get burned by these pump and dumps never took the time to ask why these free websites brought the penny stocks to their attention in the first place. Even though not technically illegal (as long as the pump-and-dump artist mentions his ownership of the shares deep into a fine print disclaimer), pump-and-dump practices are highly immoral and very damaging to unsuspecting investors.
Subscription newsletters
To gain access to subscription-based newsletters, you must pay a fee. In exchange for that fee, however, you generally get much more reliable and effective guidance from a service that's in the business of profiling high-quality penny stocks. Because fee-based newsletters earn their revenue from subscriptions rather than manipulative pricing schemes, they're motivated to do proper analysis and uncover picks that perform well.
Penny stock newsletters
Penny stock newsletters can be a great way to get ideas and guidance on low-priced shares. These resources are almost always provided online, whether through e-mail alerts or a website, although a few send out printed newsletters or faxes.
In most cases, the service or website simply asks for your e-mail address, and then they start bombarding you with frequent hot tips about penny stocks they claim are going to explode in value. Unfortunately, the free newsletters usually have hidden motivations, and the majority of their selections seem to fare very poorly.
Paid newsletters, on the other hand, have a responsibility to provide sound investment opinions and maintain their subscriber base by making legitimate and profitable selections for their readers.
I've never done an official count, but it sure seems as though there are more newsletters specifically about penny stocks than any other type of investment. The number of newsletters available means that you have a great deal to choose from, but you should also recognize the equally significant risks.
Doing Your Due Diligence
Due diligence involves assessing timely and reliable information about a company in order to make judgments about the potential future share price from which you hope to profit. It stands to reason that the more effective your research, the greater your trading successes should be.
Although research is valuable with any type of investment, it is of paramount importance with penny stocks. That's because the underlying companies are much smaller and so can be more easily derailed by a lost contract, a single customer leaving them, or a lawsuit, just to name a few of many possible events. The upside of such sensitivity to events is, of course, that penny stocks can also multiply quickly in price thanks to a single contract win, or by gaining a new customer, or settling a lawsuit.
You won't find nearly as much information about low-priced shares than you will about higher-valued stocks, and a greater portion of the information you do find will be less reliable or even misleading. Don't worry, though that's why I'm here.
