I did get the results yesterday, saw the doctor today, and I get to wait until mid December to see a surgeon who may or may not refer me to a rheumatologist , or suggest possible surgical procedures.

Had the MRI a week ago. I got the images but no one has yet to interpret what the hell they depict. I'm waiting, my doctor is waiting, my physio therapist is waiting.

I was thinking that the problem today is that kids don't go to enough social occasions.

I'm from a very small town, Euchre tournament, I'm there with the old ladies and a couple of friends. Open wedding, I'm there to meet girls and dance. ETC.

This just doesn't happen anymore. Video games and social media have taken precedent.

When people start breaking their own hands with hammers to get painkillers you know the stuff is addictive. Had a buddy who got hooked after back issues was a local athlete so of course they profiled his demise in the sports pages. Only time I ever sent the newspaper a letter. I was incensed as it was 20 years after his sports days. Read the Tony Mandarich Book it was sad but at least he made a comeback and won a superbowl.

I am scared of drugs in general I am on a few things for the heart but MY doctor knows My thoughts.

I watched the mini series 'pain' back in May, saw a movie last week, pretty much the same theme, and last night on the news they was a report about drug dealers selling oxy and tramadol on the streets.

Must be a sign that some higher power doesn't want me near the stuff

The good drugs are really good lol. Had one buddy with an addictive personality get hooked on painkillers. Bad news as he was a former NHL PLAYer. So what would otherwise not be news made news when he was passed out in his car on side of road it was reported in sports section of paper. I sent sports editor who I knew a nasty email. About 20 years ago.

Oxy is an opioid, and as such, highly addictive.There are alternatives and your doc should be able to come up with something. My brother-in-law was extremely reactive to morphine. After his surgery, he was seeing things all over the place- tripping like he was on 'shrooms or peyote. Everybody is, and reacts different.

Pain from 7 to 4..... improvement, but I wish you could do better. Chronic pain is a disease all its own.😒

Wow, oxy? That's some serious out-patient type pain reliever.

You must be hurting pretty good. Sorry to hear that.

My advice (I'm NOT a doctor) would be to continue to take it, but only at night. Accomplishes
2 things. Good pain suppression as well as helps relax muscles. A lot of pain arises not
just from the pinched nerve, but from the tense muscles exacerbating the pinching.

Sometimes it's a catch-22. Muscles tense increasing pinching pressure, the pain increases muscle tension.
Interrupt the process giving your muscles a chance to go hours relaxed (at night) and you might find longer periods of relief during the day.... maybe 🫤

I spent most of the day analysing my situation and always came up with the conclusion that simply driving to the corner store might result in killing a pedestrian, walking might end up with me in a ditch waiting for rescue.
