I think China is going to wake up wallstreet for good now, lol lol 😆
FSD,weekly updates now. China negotiations, sky is the limit, FSD by itself has the potential to take tesla over $1500 in a couple of years , just FSD....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Not really, it was beat down way too fast and unjustified. This should be $300+, but unfortunately WallStreet doesn’t like Elon.
I agree, though it's understandable the challenge to some, given such a sudden powerful reversal of the long lasting Tesla share price downtrend.
They got accustomed to the downtrend, and still unimpressed by the change being real.
Looks like today it will close above $200 by market closing time. GLTA
They are busy cutting losses, no time to post anything now, lol lol lol
Go for it. You first.

3 women from India killed after speeding SUV goes airborne in S.C. crash
April 27 (UPI) -- Three women from India are dead and another person is hospitalized Saturday after a speeding sports utility vehicle went airborne and crashed in South Carolina, authorities said.
The crash occurred around noon Friday along Interstate 85 in Greenville County, S.C., Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis said at a press briefing.
Ellis said the SUV was speeding north on I-85 when it crossed all lanes of traffic, ran up the embankment, flew some 20 feet over a bridge and crashed into trees on the other side of the bridge.
The airborne vehicle appeared to strike the trees least 20 feet above the ground and was found in several pieces, Ellis said. No other vehicles were involved in the accident.
Ellis said the vehicle's alert system notified the victims' family members, who then alerted local authorities.
"Very seldom do you see a vehicle that leaves the roadway at such a high rate of speed that it jumps 4-6 lanes of traffic and lands in the trees approximately 20 feet," Ellis said. "When you got family, probably related, three deceased, it is nothing that you want to ever see."
Investigators are still trying to determine the cause of the crash.
Drivers using Tesla Autopilot crashed hundreds of times, federal investigators say
Driving the news: The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Office of Defects Investigations (ODI) flagged 467 crashes over a period of about 15 months from 2022-23.
The incidents resulted in 54 injuries and 14 deaths, ODI said.

JJ: and what happens if the stock jumps 10 points in Monday?
Nostradamus, I agree, a car without FSD mat be compared to a person without a brain!
Jason: the price on Monday is in nobody’s control. However, i have a vert strong feeling that there is no better place to ark long term funds. Let me explain why I am making such a broad statement.
1.
Tesla is using a fuel of the future. Hybrid cars are NOTHING but an attempt to avoid fines by improving CAFE. They STILL use gasoline, which is a fuel of the past.
2.
Tesla can and does move faster than most companies. (Just ask Sandy Munro). The reason for their agility is their management structure. Some may argue that it is not the best thing in the world to vest all the power in ONE person. However, by adding other people to the decision making , sometimes ALL you accomplish is delay. Rarely, you may get a better decision.
3.
If you have the greatest engineering mind of our time at the helm, how can a company go wrong? In my personal opinion, (I know most people do NOT share my view) ELON is head and shoulders above most other engineers I have met. His insistence on doing things right, based on first principles, is SO refreshing. I am a retired engineer, myself. So I know many engineers.
4.
Calling Tesla an auto company is similar to calling Xerox the copy machine company.!
Facebook Cofounder Says Tesla Has Committed "Consumer Fraud on a Massive Scale," Will End in Jail
Heads Will Roll
Amidst a chaotic month for Tesla — even by its continuously plunging standards — Facebook cofounder and multi-billionaire Dustin Moskovitz has made some pretty dire predictions for the automaker, accusing it of committing "consumer fraud on a massive scale."
"This is Enron now, folks," Moskovitz wrote on Threads, referring to the corporation that went bankrupt in 2001 after it was exposed for one of the biggest accounting frauds in history. "It may keep going, but people are going to jail at the end."
The point of the side-by-side is this: according to Moskovitz, the automaker is wrongly recognizing its deferred revenue — revenue for a product that hasn't been delivered, like an annual subscription fee — as earned revenue through the wider release of its Autopark feature last month. This is a sketchy move, Moskovitz claims, because an earlier version of Autopark was already released with FSD years ago, resulting in inflated numbers.
"The data is presented in fraudulent ways, and it doesn't say what they claim it says even when they make it up," he wrote.
Hertz is ditching more of its fleet of electric vehicles, which it says are unreliable and more expensive than gas-guzzlers, as it reports a $392 million loss for the first quarter of 2024. ( Remember Hertz TV ad of retired QB Tom Brady driving Tesla rental )
The Estero, Florida-based rental car company said it plans to get rid of 10,000 more EVs than it initially planned this year. Now Hertz intends to sell off 30,000 EVs in 2024, after taking a $195 million charge last quarter because of the depreciation of its fleet. That hit, when combined with a $245 million write-down in the last quarter of 2024, means Hertz has lost $440 million on its failed bet on electric cars led by former CEO Stephen Sherr.

Montreal-area Tesla owner frustrated after accident using driving app
A Montreal-area man’s Tesla Model 3 collided with another vehicle in a parking lot at the Fairview Pointe-Claire shopping mall west of Montreal on April 10 after he tried to retrieve his car while outside of his vehicle using an autonomous driving feature called Smart Summon. This function allows users to have their car drive to them using the Tesla application on their smartphone.
“I put the pin on the map on the app and was requesting the car to come to me. Now when I pressed the ‘go to target’ button and held it, I noticed that the car immediately turned right instead of going straight before turning right, which put it at a sharp angle leading to hitting another vehicle,” explained George Ghazzoul, a Montreal-area Tesla Model 3 owner, adding, “now as soon as I noticed that, I took my finger off as it was starting to move forward, but unfortunately it didn’t respond in time. It continued to creep forward and it caused damage to both my vehicle and the vehicle that was parked next to it.”

Carmel post office lobby 'red tagged' after Tesla crashes into front
CARMEL-BY-THE-SEA, Calif. —
Carmel police said that a 74-year-old woman crashed her Tesla into the front of the United States Postal Service building on Wednesday.
The crash was reported around 12:17 p.m. and a police sergeant said that the "investigation revealed the female was parked in a handicap stall in the off-street Post Office parking lot, directly across from the front doors on 5th Avenue."
The police sergeant told KSBW 8 that it appears she mistook the gas pedal for the brake. The red Tesla drove off about 40 feet out of control before hitting the front entrance on 5th Avenue.

Tesla driver on Autopilot caused fatal Highway 522 crash, police say
The driver was reportedly on his phone with his Tesla on Autopilot on Friday when he crashed into Jeffrey Nissen, killing him.
A Tesla driver who had set his car on Autopilot was “distracted” by his phone before reportedly hitting and killing a motorcyclist Friday on Highway 522, according to a new police report.
Around 3:45 p.m., a Snohomish man in a 2022 Tesla Model S was driving home behind a motorcyclist at Fales Road in Maltby, according to the report.
The man, 56, had activated Tesla’s Autopilot feature. He was using his phone when he heard a bang as his car lurched forward and crashed into the motorcycle in front of him, troopers wrote.
UPDATE 2-US probes Tesla recall of 2 million vehicles over Autopilot, citing concerns
WASHINGTON, April 26 (Reuters) - U.S. auto safety regulators said Friday they have opened an investigation into whether Tesla's recall of more than 2 million vehicles announced in December to install new Autopilot safeguards is adequate.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said it was opening an investigation after the agency identified concerns due to crash events after vehicles had the recall software update installed "and results from preliminary NHTSA tests of remedied vehicles."
The agency's new probe comes after it closed its nearly three-year investigation into Autopilot, saying it found evidence that "Tesla’s weak driver engagement system was not appropriate for Autopilot’s permissive operating capabilities" that result in a "critical safety gap."
NHTSA also cited Tesla's statement "that a portion of the remedy both requires the owner to opt in and allows a driver to readily reverse it."
The agency said Tesla has issued software updates to address issues that appear related to its concerns but has not made them "a part of the recall or otherwise determined to remedy a defect that poses an unreasonable safety risk."

Cause of Tesla fire at Richmond mall under investigation
A Tesla went up in flames in the parking lot of a Richmond mall over the weekend.
A video posted on Chinese social media platform Little Red Book on Saturday, April 20, shows a black Tesla's front hood engulfed in flames in the parking lot between Yaohan Centre and President's Plaza.
With various impressed external magnetic field intensities an effect was noticed on the charge and discharge curves as well as the charge and mass concentrations within the batteries. With the two-dimensional model starting from 0mT and going to 1mT had the effect of discharging the battery faster and charging the battery faster. With the two-dimensional model starting from 1mT and going to -1mT had the effect of charging the battery faster. In either case an effect on the various characteristics of the battery were studied. With the experiments conducted on the two types of batteries the effect was more profound than subtle. Discharge times were twice as fast and charge times were equally
affected. With the smaller batteries they all generally charged faster under the presence of a magnetic field due to more uniform penetration. In the presence of the field they also discharged faster. The larger batteries would not see the same uniform penetration because only a small area of the battery sees the center of the coil it is placed on

Nikola Tesla was born in 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His father was a priest in the Serbian Orthodox church
and his mother managed the family’s farm. In 1863 Tesla’s brother Daniel was killed in a riding accident.
The shock of the loss unsettled the 7-year-old Tesla, who reported seeing visions—the first signs of his lifelong mental illnesses.

$TSLA, Exclusive: Bill Ford at Mustang Mach-E unveil admits being on Tesla’s turf
Bradley Berman
- Nov. 17th 2019 10:44 pm ET
Minutes after the official unveiling of the Ford Mustang Mach-E,
we jumped into the press scrum surrounding Bill Ford. Electrek asked Ford’s chairman, and Henry Ford’s great-grandson,
if he knew the introduction was taking place one block from Tesla’s design center.
“That’s a coincidence,” he said. And then he flashed a big smile.
Tesla Motors, Inc. (Tesla), incorporated on July 1, 2003, designs, develops, manufactures and sells electric vehicles and advanced electric vehicle powertrain components. Tesla owns its sales and service centers and Supercharger stations. In addition to the Company’s own vehicles, it designs, develops, manufactures, and sells advanced electric vehicle powertrain components to other automotive manufacturers. The Company has provided development services and powertrain components to Daimler AG (Daimler) for its Smart fortwo and A-Class electric vehicles. The Company developed stationary energy storage products for use in homes, commercial sites, and utilities. The Company offers financial products through various financial institutions in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Tesla Motors was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers in Silicon Valley who wanted to prove that electric cars could be better than gasoline-powered cars. With instant torque, incredible power, and zero emissions, Tesla’s products would be cars without compromise. Each new generation would be increasingly affordable, helping the company work towards its mission: to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable transport.
Tesla’s engineers first designed a powertrain for a sports car built around an AC induction motor, patented in 1888 by Nikola Tesla, the inventor who inspired the company’s name. The resulting Tesla Roadster was launched in 2008. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and achieving a range of 245 miles per charge of its lithium ion battery, the Roadster set a new standard for electric mobility. Tesla would sell more than 2,400 Roadsters, now on the road in more than 30 countries.
In 2012, Tesla launched Model S, the world’s first premium electric sedan. Built from the ground up to be 100 percent electric, Model S has redefined the very concept of a four-door car. With room for seven passengers and more than 64 cubic feet of storage, Model S provides the comfort and utility of a family sedan while achieving the acceleration of a sports car: 0 to 60 mph in about five seconds. Its flat battery pack is integrated into the chassis and sits below the occupant cabin, lending the car a low center of gravity that enables outstanding road holding and handling while driving 265 miles per charge. Model S was named Motor Trend’s 2013 Car of the Year and achieved a 5-star safety rating from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
In late 2014, Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled two dual motor all-wheel drive configurations of Model S that further improve the vehicle’s handling and performance. The 85D features a high efficiency motor at the front and rear, giving the car unparalleled control of traction in all conditions. The P85D pairs a high efficiency front motor with a performance rear motor for supercar acceleration, achieving a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.2 seconds – the fastest four-door production car ever made.
Now with more than 50,000 vehicles on the road worldwide, Tesla is preparing to launch Model X, a crossover vehicle that enters volume production in 2015. Featuring exhilarating acceleration, falcon wing doors, and room for three rows of seating, Model X defies categorization.
Tesla owners enjoy the benefit of charging at home so they never have to visit a gas station or spend a cent on gasoline. For long distance journeys, Tesla’s Supercharger network provides convenient and free access to high speed charging, replenishing half a charge in as little as 20 minutes. Superchargers now connect popular routes in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Tesla’s vehicles are produced at its factory in Fremont, California, previously home to New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., a joint venture between Toyota and General Motors. The Tesla Factory has returned thousands of jobs to the area and is capable of producing 1,000 cars a week.
The company is expanding its manufacturing footprint into other areas, including in Tilburg, the Netherlands, where it has an assembly facility, and Lathrop, California, where it has a specialized production plant. To reduce the costs of lithium ion battery packs, Tesla and key strategic partners including Panasonic have begun construction of a gigafactory in Nevada that will facilitate the production of a mass-market affordable vehicle, Model 3. By 2020, the gigafactory will produce more lithium ion cells than all of the world’s combined output in 2013. The gigafactory will also produce battery packs intended for use in stationary storage, helping to improve robustness of the electrical grid, reduce energy costs for businesses and residences, and provide a backup supply of power.
Tesla is not just an automaker, but also a technology and design company with a focus on energy innovation.
The Tesla Roadster is an electric sports car. The Company sells and services its Tesla Roadster though its Company-owned sales and service network in the North America, Europe and Asia. It has delivered approximately 2,500 Tesla Roadsters to customers in over 30 countries. It completed the production of Tesla Roadster gliders at Lotus Cars Limited in January 2012.
Model S is a four door, five-passenger premium sedan. It has designed Model S to include a third row with two rear-facing child seats, subject to applicable safety regulations and requirements, allowing the Company to offer a seven passenger sedan.
The Company revealed an early prototype of the Model X crossover as the first vehicle that it intends to develop by leveraging the Model S platform. This vehicle has been designed to fill the niche between the roominess of a minivan and the style of an SUV, while having high performance features, such as a dual motor all-wheel drive system. Model X will seat seven adults. The Company anticipates that it would make Model X available with 60 kWh and 85 kWh battery pack options, with pricing of each version similar to those of a comparably equipped Model S.
The Company also has announced its intent to develop a third generation electric vehicle, to which it refers as Gen III, to be produced at the Tesla Factory.
In addition to the Company’s own vehicles, it designs, develops, manufactures, and sells advanced electric vehicle powertrain components to other automotive manufacturers. The Company has provided development services and full powertrain systems and components to Daimler AG for its Smart fortwo, A-Class, and B-Class electric vehicles. It has also developed an electric powertrain system for Toyota Motor Corporation for use in its RAV4 EV. As of December 31, 2013 the Company shipped approximately 1,600 units.
In 2013, the Company developed stationary energy storage products for use in homes, commercial sites, and utilities. The applications for these battery systems include backup power, peak demand reduction, demand response and wholesale electric market services. The Company intends to ramp sales of these products in 2014. In 2015, Tesla introduced the Powrball: Tesla Home Battery. Powerwall is a home battery that charges using electricity generated from solar panels, or when utility rates are low, and powers your home in the evening. It also fortifies your home against power outages by providing a backup electricity supply. Automated, compact and simple to install, Powerwall offers independence from the utility grid and the security of an emergency backup. Powerball comes in 10kWh weekly cycle and 7kWh daily cycle models. Both are guaranteed for ten years and are sufficient to power most homes during peak evening hours. Multiple batteries may be installed together for homes with greater energy need, up to 90 kWh total for the 10 kWh battery and 63 kWh total for the 7 kWh battery.
The Company offers financial products through various financial institutions in the United States, Europe, and Asia. In the United States and Canada, it offers customer loans through specified commercial banking partners. In connection with certain of these loans, the Company offers a resale value guarantee to all customers who purchased a Model S and financed their vehicle.
