I will thank you
You could spend your time writing fairy tales. You were born for that...
Its really interesting that you can read mixed messages in regards to what Tesla plans to release late this year into early 2025. One article will make it seem like Tesla is releasing its Model 2 and sooner than expected. However the lack of specificity by Musk suggests otherwise. Musk knows how to play the word game so you have to take Musk for what he says while noting what hes not actually saying.
Meanwhile another article will claim that what was actually implied is not a model 2 (or whatever itd been named) but instead lower cost versions of its current fleet of vehicles. Incorporating aspects of the savings created from designs for the model 2 will allow Tesla to charge less for its various current models without the large production investment needed to manufacture the "model 2". Theres a reason for all this confusion and Musk not being straight about his answers on these subjects. My guess is the confusion is purposeful to control potential fallout from such a narrative.
In regards to what Tesla has planned I think Reuters is the most accurate. That said i doubt theyve managed to decrease costs of AI/HW. I believe its the improved designs for how the model 2 was to be manufactured that will be incorporated its other models to reduce manufacturing costs; this is based on other articles ive read. Not the body but some of the components. I also read that there could be removal of some components/features to help drive the price down. This would be good if they removed FSD hardware to help reduce costs and maybe reduce accidents.
'DE-CONTENTED MODEL Y/MODEL 3'
Several analysts took Tesla's remarks that its cheaper models would be built using current platforms and production lines as a sign it had retreated from more ambitious plans for an all-new model that had been expected to cost $25,000.
"We read 'more affordable' as potentially de-contented Model Y/Model 3 versions with improvements in software and AI/hardware capability, but at lower prices," Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas said.
Musk declined to provide details of the more affordable models and instead spent much of the earnings call on Tesla's efforts to diversify its business into AI, humanoid robots and operating a fleet of autonomous vehicles - all based on software and hardware products it has not yet fully developed.
“In short, this is an utter disaster (both the result/cash-burn, and the guide/abandonment of the next-gen platform); stated differently, for the TSLA bears, Christmas just ‘came early,'” he said.
He sees Tesla abandoning the low-cost, next-gen platform and resorting to “de-contenting” existing models. He considers this a “huge letdown.”
Johnson further criticized Tesla’s record cash burn in the first quarter, with a negative free cash flow of $2.53 billion, far below estimates and marking the company’s worst quarter ever in this metric. He also highlights a drop in operating margin from 8.2% to 5.5%, missing analyst expectations and significantly lower than the global auto industry average.
“This is a catastrophe, as this puts TSLA's op. margins in line/worse than the global auto industry,” he said.
Johnson also said Tesla’s revised 2024 growth target is “notably lower” than the previously announced 50% growth projection
No one is going to. The oem would completely have to change how the vehicle is made to add in every single camera that Tesla is using + add the FSD module + do all the work in the back end to ensure all the other modules in the vehicle can talk to the FSD module.
If an OEM did sign up, it will take 5 years min
Good points, but when $urvival depends on these new adaptations$ it will happen in no time....
$$$ZTSLA$$$
Expect over 200 million shares of TSLA to be bought today!!!
Good luck and GOD bless,
Anyone know how itd be possible for Tesla to "license" FSD? Wouldnt that require a suite of cameras and computer HW too? Not a simple software license but requires extensive hardware and vehicle redesign/reconfigure to incorporate the new hardware? Thus licensing FSD requires years of pre-work before anything can move forward assuming FSD is considered safe enough for a major auto player to even want to move forward.

Thermoelectric current causes asymmetric growth pattern of dendrites.
thermoelectromagnetic convection occurs in the vicinity of the solid-liquid interface, and vortices are generated between dendritic arms. It is shown that the thermoelectromagnetic convection has a major influence on dendritic morphology.
Cells taken at random from elsewhere in the battery system, and from its twin system at Festival Ranch, showed “lithium metal deposition and abnormal dendritic growth,” DNV GL notes.
"Because the evidence of Lithium metal deposition and abnormal dendritic growth was sufficiently present in the random samples that were analyzed, it was determined to a reasonable degree of scientific certainty to be the anomaly that caused the initial cell failure and ensuing thermal runaway," battery safety expert Davion Hill wrote in the APS report.

EV trucks for long haul commutes is not practical
Consider having to replace your tires 1-2 times per year instead once every 5 years or so. EVs pollute more and cost more due to excessive tire wear. Electric vehicles release more toxic particles into the atmosphere and are worse for the environment than their gas-powered counterparts, according to a resurfaced study. Electric vehicles are often heavier than regular gas-powered cars due to the weight of their engines, which can reach 1,850 pounds. The heavier engines place extra weight on the tires and cause them to wear out faster, according to the study. A 1,100-pound engine can cause more than 400 times the emissions as direct exhaust emissions.
Electric vehicles release more toxic emissions, are worse for the environment than gas-powered cars: study
The study, published by emissions data firm Emission Analytics, was released in 2022 but has attracted a wave of attention this week after being cited in a Wall Street Journal op-ed Sunday.
It found that brakes and tires on EVs release 1,850 times more particle pollution compared to modern tailpipes, which have “efficient” exhaust filters, bringing gas-powered vehicles’ emissions to new lows.
Today, most vehicle-related pollution comes from tire wear.
Particle pollution from tires is the biggest contributor to vehicle-related emissions.
I have a hard time believing its simply weight that causes EVs to go through tires at, sometimes, an excessive pace. They are not that much heavier to cause the vehicles to go through tires in as little as 5k miles. My guess is it has something to do with the EM radiation that comes off EVs coupled with the metals in the tires.
“But you have this downside of EVs that increases particle pollution. Air pollution is about what we breathe and the health effects,” Molden said, assuring that the toxins in tires have much less impact on climate change than they do on “what we eat and are ingesting.”
Increased exposure to these toxins “can increase the risk of health problems like heart disease, asthma, and low birth weight,” according to the New York Department of Health, which noted that pollution from sources including vehicle exhaust can travel long distances from its source and still cause health issues at unhealthy levels.
“A lot of it [chemicals] goes into the soil and water, affecting animals and fish. And we then go and eat the animals and fish, so we are ingesting tire pollution,” Molden added.
But after less than 5,000 miles of driving around his Boca Raton neighborhood, Semel was shocked to find some essential — and very expensive — parts were already wearing out. The tires. “If somebody looked at me and said, Mr. Semel, you are going to love this car but in about 7,000 miles you will have to pay 1,400 or 1,500 dollars to replace the tires, I wouldn’t have bought the car,” Semel said. For many drivers of EVs in Florida — the nation’s second largest market for electrical vehicles — premature tire wear has become an unexpected black mark on vehicles promoted as a green climate-friendly option to gas-gulping cars.
At EV Garage Miami, a Sweetwater repair shop that services 90 percent electric vehicles, lead technician Jonathan Sanchez said tires are the most frequent thing customers come in about — no matter what model or make of EV they’re driving. Tire mileage can vary widely of course, but he said he frequently changes EV tires at just 8,000 to 10,000 miles — a fourth or even fifth of typical tire wear on a gas-burning car.
EV cars were not technically feasible and possible prior to 2010 all you had was EV protypes but the cars were not practical in mass production as it was too expensive. an unpractical

Coroner identifies semi-truck driver killed in wreck on I-75 southbound in Scott County
Officials tell LEX 18 that several other crashes occurred after traffic stopped, including one involving a sheriff's deputy and an emergency management worker. The deputy says he was closing the road when he noticed a Tesla that wasn't slowing down and warned the worker.
According to officials, the deputy and emergency management worker narrowly got out of the way before the car crashed into the cruiser and smashed into the EMA trailer. The deputy was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and the driver of the vehicle that crashed suffered serious injuries.
"We owe this guy a dinner because he was flashing his flashlight at the driver, blowing the whistle, doing everything possible to try and get that other driver's attention," said emergency management director Michael Hennigan.
Hennigan said that the driver of the Tesla never applied their brakes or swerved before crashing into the emergency vehicles. The sheriff's office will investigate that crash, he said.

That was the high during after hours trading but the close of after hour trading was $163.96 which was too bad. It was up $19.28 for the day.
Hopefully, the share price of TSLA will continue to go up from $163.96 tomorrow.
Good luck and GOD bless,
Is that true George? Tesla share at $216.80?
I hope so.
If true, my Port will leap for joy. And I will celebrate. I am doubtful until I see my Account tomorrow, lol.
Cheers & GLTA
While Cash/equiv dropped 4.7B, Cash, equivs, investments only dropped 2.2B. Thus about 2.5B of that 4.7b drop was invested. Still 2.2billion drop is significant and a large departure from previous trajectory. That coupled with Tesla cutting prices further doesnt look healthy.
Current bounce is technical in nature not based on anything real.
TSLA After-Hours High $216.8 (04:56:18 PM)

Tesla Earnings Fall To Lowest Since 2021. Tesla Stock Surges Late On 'Affordable' EV.

Good luck and GOD bless,
BANKRUPTCY ISN'T LIKELY FOR TESLA BUT THE ODDS ARE GROWING
Two new factories are operating at less than 50% of capacity. Massive capital investments plus vertical integration plus falling sales plus no new models (other than the Frankenstein-mobile) = huge cash burn. FSD at Level 2 autonomy remains well behind competitors and isn't remotely capable of running a robotaxi system.
In this excellent piece, the invaluable (for Tesla shorts) Motorhead walks through how and why it might happen, comparing Tesla to other CAR COMPANIES who've gone bust. He recommends Tesla do a $100 billion equity raise to hold them over the next ~ 3-4 years until they might have new product.
He finds fault in Tesla's business model, which he says is dependent on robust revenue growth, integrating vertically to capture profits from car sales, and directly selling cars to consumers.
"That is a brilliant model when [there's] growth … because you actually get paid for growing and you capture all the margin. The problem is, when you go into reverse and sales go down, it also goes in reverse," Lekander said, noting that Tesla was now faced with paying its fixed costs and negative working capital, a situation where liabilities exceed a business's income and assets.
Thats significant cash outflow Q1 for Tesla, about 4.7B. IT appears this is mostly due to the significant drop in cash from operations. Tesla keeps burning at this rate its going to have to do an offering this year. Cash burn rates have to be a major reason why Tesla has pulled back on trying to expand. You can see why Tesla needs this technical pump to distract the masses from that cash burn.

So... normally at earning call, the stock drops as all the good news is baked in before the call. It has dropped now for a long time as the market bakes in the bad news. Why is anyone surprised at the rise. The market is "suppose" to be a "leading" indicator. The MSM FUD about Tesla was very successful at it job for the Wall Street insiders.
As a long I only want to know that Tesla is making progress on moving forward. They are.
Let the traders do what they do day to day.
Terrible earnings from every aspects of the business and the stock is up Ah oh because they said oh they going to push the other sector faster? Give me a break , I'll bet it will open lower tomorrow. Jist look at their earnings, competition is getting tighter and their bottom revenues will continue to go down as they will continue cutting prices.
Even at $90 adjusted split is still dam too expensive...

Tesla profits drop 55%, company says EV sales ‘under pressure’ from hybrids
Tesla profits fell 55% to $1.13 billion in the first quarter from the same year-ago period as a protracted EV price-cutting strategy and “numerous challenges” cut into the automaker’s bottom line.
Tesla reported revenue of $21.3 billion in the first quarter, a 9% drop from the first quarter of 2023. Analysts polled by Yahoo Finance expected earnings of $0.51 per share on $22.15 billion in revenue. Tesla reported operating income of $1.2 billion in the first quarter, a 54% decrease from the same year-ago period.
The company said in its Q1 earnings report that it experienced “numerous challenges” in the first quarter, including the Red Sea conflict and the arson attack at Gigafactory Berlin and the gradual ramp of the updated Model 3 at its factory in Fremont, California. Tesla also noted that global EV sales continue to be under pressure as many carmakers prioritize hybrids over EVs. On the upside, that hybrid approach has meant automakers continue to buy regulatory credits; Tesla earned $442 million in the first quarter.
And I was spot on, as the main baseline inched upward from this original post.
So calling Jan 2023 bottom, last summer's top, and now this bottom.
3 for 3. See you all above 200 by January 2025.
Technical analysis doesn't lie.

Nikola Tesla was born in 1856 in Smiljan, Croatia, then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. His father was a priest in the Serbian Orthodox church
and his mother managed the family’s farm. In 1863 Tesla’s brother Daniel was killed in a riding accident.
The shock of the loss unsettled the 7-year-old Tesla, who reported seeing visions—the first signs of his lifelong mental illnesses.

$TSLA, Exclusive: Bill Ford at Mustang Mach-E unveil admits being on Tesla’s turf
Bradley Berman
- Nov. 17th 2019 10:44 pm ET
Minutes after the official unveiling of the Ford Mustang Mach-E,
we jumped into the press scrum surrounding Bill Ford. Electrek asked Ford’s chairman, and Henry Ford’s great-grandson,
if he knew the introduction was taking place one block from Tesla’s design center.
“That’s a coincidence,” he said. And then he flashed a big smile.
Tesla Motors, Inc. (Tesla), incorporated on July 1, 2003, designs, develops, manufactures and sells electric vehicles and advanced electric vehicle powertrain components. Tesla owns its sales and service centers and Supercharger stations. In addition to the Company’s own vehicles, it designs, develops, manufactures, and sells advanced electric vehicle powertrain components to other automotive manufacturers. The Company has provided development services and powertrain components to Daimler AG (Daimler) for its Smart fortwo and A-Class electric vehicles. The Company developed stationary energy storage products for use in homes, commercial sites, and utilities. The Company offers financial products through various financial institutions in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
Tesla Motors was founded in 2003 by a group of engineers in Silicon Valley who wanted to prove that electric cars could be better than gasoline-powered cars. With instant torque, incredible power, and zero emissions, Tesla’s products would be cars without compromise. Each new generation would be increasingly affordable, helping the company work towards its mission: to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable transport.
Tesla’s engineers first designed a powertrain for a sports car built around an AC induction motor, patented in 1888 by Nikola Tesla, the inventor who inspired the company’s name. The resulting Tesla Roadster was launched in 2008. Accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds and achieving a range of 245 miles per charge of its lithium ion battery, the Roadster set a new standard for electric mobility. Tesla would sell more than 2,400 Roadsters, now on the road in more than 30 countries.
In 2012, Tesla launched Model S, the world’s first premium electric sedan. Built from the ground up to be 100 percent electric, Model S has redefined the very concept of a four-door car. With room for seven passengers and more than 64 cubic feet of storage, Model S provides the comfort and utility of a family sedan while achieving the acceleration of a sports car: 0 to 60 mph in about five seconds. Its flat battery pack is integrated into the chassis and sits below the occupant cabin, lending the car a low center of gravity that enables outstanding road holding and handling while driving 265 miles per charge. Model S was named Motor Trend’s 2013 Car of the Year and achieved a 5-star safety rating from the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
In late 2014, Tesla CEO Elon Musk unveiled two dual motor all-wheel drive configurations of Model S that further improve the vehicle’s handling and performance. The 85D features a high efficiency motor at the front and rear, giving the car unparalleled control of traction in all conditions. The P85D pairs a high efficiency front motor with a performance rear motor for supercar acceleration, achieving a 0 to 60 mph time of 3.2 seconds – the fastest four-door production car ever made.
Now with more than 50,000 vehicles on the road worldwide, Tesla is preparing to launch Model X, a crossover vehicle that enters volume production in 2015. Featuring exhilarating acceleration, falcon wing doors, and room for three rows of seating, Model X defies categorization.
Tesla owners enjoy the benefit of charging at home so they never have to visit a gas station or spend a cent on gasoline. For long distance journeys, Tesla’s Supercharger network provides convenient and free access to high speed charging, replenishing half a charge in as little as 20 minutes. Superchargers now connect popular routes in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific.
Tesla’s vehicles are produced at its factory in Fremont, California, previously home to New United Motor Manufacturing Inc., a joint venture between Toyota and General Motors. The Tesla Factory has returned thousands of jobs to the area and is capable of producing 1,000 cars a week.
The company is expanding its manufacturing footprint into other areas, including in Tilburg, the Netherlands, where it has an assembly facility, and Lathrop, California, where it has a specialized production plant. To reduce the costs of lithium ion battery packs, Tesla and key strategic partners including Panasonic have begun construction of a gigafactory in Nevada that will facilitate the production of a mass-market affordable vehicle, Model 3. By 2020, the gigafactory will produce more lithium ion cells than all of the world’s combined output in 2013. The gigafactory will also produce battery packs intended for use in stationary storage, helping to improve robustness of the electrical grid, reduce energy costs for businesses and residences, and provide a backup supply of power.
Tesla is not just an automaker, but also a technology and design company with a focus on energy innovation.
The Tesla Roadster is an electric sports car. The Company sells and services its Tesla Roadster though its Company-owned sales and service network in the North America, Europe and Asia. It has delivered approximately 2,500 Tesla Roadsters to customers in over 30 countries. It completed the production of Tesla Roadster gliders at Lotus Cars Limited in January 2012.
Model S is a four door, five-passenger premium sedan. It has designed Model S to include a third row with two rear-facing child seats, subject to applicable safety regulations and requirements, allowing the Company to offer a seven passenger sedan.
The Company revealed an early prototype of the Model X crossover as the first vehicle that it intends to develop by leveraging the Model S platform. This vehicle has been designed to fill the niche between the roominess of a minivan and the style of an SUV, while having high performance features, such as a dual motor all-wheel drive system. Model X will seat seven adults. The Company anticipates that it would make Model X available with 60 kWh and 85 kWh battery pack options, with pricing of each version similar to those of a comparably equipped Model S.
The Company also has announced its intent to develop a third generation electric vehicle, to which it refers as Gen III, to be produced at the Tesla Factory.
In addition to the Company’s own vehicles, it designs, develops, manufactures, and sells advanced electric vehicle powertrain components to other automotive manufacturers. The Company has provided development services and full powertrain systems and components to Daimler AG for its Smart fortwo, A-Class, and B-Class electric vehicles. It has also developed an electric powertrain system for Toyota Motor Corporation for use in its RAV4 EV. As of December 31, 2013 the Company shipped approximately 1,600 units.
In 2013, the Company developed stationary energy storage products for use in homes, commercial sites, and utilities. The applications for these battery systems include backup power, peak demand reduction, demand response and wholesale electric market services. The Company intends to ramp sales of these products in 2014. In 2015, Tesla introduced the Powrball: Tesla Home Battery. Powerwall is a home battery that charges using electricity generated from solar panels, or when utility rates are low, and powers your home in the evening. It also fortifies your home against power outages by providing a backup electricity supply. Automated, compact and simple to install, Powerwall offers independence from the utility grid and the security of an emergency backup. Powerball comes in 10kWh weekly cycle and 7kWh daily cycle models. Both are guaranteed for ten years and are sufficient to power most homes during peak evening hours. Multiple batteries may be installed together for homes with greater energy need, up to 90 kWh total for the 10 kWh battery and 63 kWh total for the 7 kWh battery.
The Company offers financial products through various financial institutions in the United States, Europe, and Asia. In the United States and Canada, it offers customer loans through specified commercial banking partners. In connection with certain of these loans, the Company offers a resale value guarantee to all customers who purchased a Model S and financed their vehicle.
