(Possibly an ideal setup for SRMX - see how it's fallen back, then started to get some legs? See how the volume has picked up too?)
This board is for those of us that like to keep emotions out of trading.
Me thinks the days of "buy and hold" are past us, and it's the nimble that will profit.
Stocks ebb and flow, like a river or a tide. Moving up and down, and I find the fibonacci numbers, the "numbers of nature", come into play when I trade.
For those of you not familiar with fibonacci numbers, this is a good explantion here:
http://stockcharts.com/school/doku.php?id=chart_school:chart_analysis:fibonacci_retracemen These numbers occur all throughout nature. Hence, it's not surprising as stocks move up and down, the stock's price is resistant at certain levels, and is supported at certain levels.
Learn how to use these numbers, and you can become quite the trader!!
I also pay attention to CMF (chaikin money flow
) (Anything above the 50 is money flowing in, below 50, money is flowing out)
Accumulation and distribution.
(See ho the Accumulation has been rising? A great sign of buyer interest)
I also look at
barchart.com,
stockcharts.com and
stockta.com for confirmtaion of some of my trading ideas.
Fibonacci numbers, CMF and accumulation and distribution can be found on most stock charting sites. I use TDAmeritrade for my brokerage and am quite pleased with the products they offer. Not cheerleading for them, just sharing my opinion.
This board is open to anyone.
Feel free to share your expertise. I find that by helping people learn, I alo learn a lot. Just a though for those that have a technical bias for stock trading.
Also feel free to share your questions - how's this work, what sites to use to get your charts and information, how do you interpret the data that you've found. If you don't ask, you don't get an answer to your questions.
Also feel free to share stocks that you think, technically, are about to break out. If you do share technical breakouts, please include you rationale for your beliefs. If your rationale is not included, I will delete the stock that is shared.
Let's have fun, learn and make a few bucks!!
Happy trading and GLTYA
Cheers
John
