It always depends on the broker you use. Even those stocks that are non DTCC eligible can often still be traded by the larger brokerages. Just that I use a Penson affiliated broker, myself.
yes, i know, but i would think they would be more then happy to tell anyone that the stock can be traded......:)
yes, saw that.....i tried the website and didn't find it to be reliable.....lowman has a good point, just enter an order
These days, getting info from the TA is like pulling teeth.
ok thanks, i guess the TA would be the first to know sense it is their job to keep records accurate

Unfortunately, no. Not that I know of. They do a great job of being vague. Seems there is no source for total daily accuracy. The only thing I rely on these days is to simply enter an order. If my ticket is rejected, then I know for sure. The Lists are largely inaccurate, as I'm finding. Not sure why, either.
is there an other source for DTCC status of symbols, does the dtcc website have a list?

Check DTCC status of symbols here:

"...Pinksheets is the shark-infested waters of the stock market..."?
Whoever said that haven't been to the OTC, Nasdaq and/or the NYSE markets yet. Pinksheet sharks are sardines compared to the sharks dwelling into the other markets.
It's about time they came out with something to check the status of a stock. It appears it's doesn't update immediately though, as there were 4 new issues added to the NDE list yesterday that still show up as eligible.
Thanx for pointing that out. I'll make the correction shortly.
Crowne Ventures Inc ticker is CRWV not CWRN for your info.
this list has some i cover. i will begin to phase out what i see not registered.
thank you lots for hard work.

Isn't it a shame that it takes a private corporation (DTCC) to do the SEC's job? Yet more proof of how defunct government is. And some people think we need more government in our lives. What we need is for existing government to do their jobs, instead of surfing porn on the taxpayer's dime.
I agree with you that the dtc seems to usually be chilling junk stocks. All seem to have problems if you look at them closely.
In Reply to 'Sugarfreejazz'
WTCT is still NDE (exited from the CNS) despite their bizarre PR about having the "Global Lock" lifted (there was no global lock).
Until there is a DTCC legal notice reinstating it, it is still non DTC-eligible.
NDE list needs updating, I see. OPMG on list but I just checked to see if it's tradeable, and it is.
OPMG is waking up...PR,s have been MET since december.. one to keep an eye on IMHO dan
Well, whoever buys a stock just because some famous artist recommends it deserves to lose their money.
I realize this guy just resigned, but....
""
Also, our lead business faces intense competition in the Internet advertising market from other online advertising and direct marketing networks in competing for client advertising budgets. It also competes with a company owned by Mr. Hakan Koyuncu, a non-employee director. """
low thanks.. yes i know they don't.. i have been researching all angles of R/S and R/M and name changes etc.. and am OVERLOADED with technical info right now... i think that OPMG has a very promising future..however as we all know in the pinks things are NOT always as they seem..even when everything checks out ok... its is PRETTY MUCH slightly informed GAMBLING down here.. dan
I can guarantee the bashers don't know anymore than you, and what has been issued in PR. IMO, the stronger the business model, the more likely the issue will be resolved. AFPW was recently chilled and reversed, in only 1-2 months time.
thanks i,m learning here trying to get a base understanding of stunts pulled by ballsy companies..and what the REAL warning signs are.. how can the SEC allow companies to do things that will hurt investors? i would think someone must oversee this stuff and STOP it or at LEAST make it public before it happens.. i do know rules are getting tighter and the SEC is going after these guys.. yes OPMG has its problems but it certainly has LESS than the others i have seen! any other stuff you think of i really appr dan
no universal answer
depends on the state of incorporation. depends on how ballsy the CEO is. Depends on who owns voting control of shares.
I've seen IGNT give no notice to shareholders of a reverse split. Filed with the state, but gave no public notice. Luckily the CEO is in prison right now.
UNVC recently doubled Authorized shares with no notice.
IMGG recently voted to give the CEO, for free, preferred shares with 100-1 voting rights. that one definitely is a clue that he wants to do something that shareholders might not like
But in general-- if (A) there is a lot of debt, particlularly if the debt is a convertible (B) the stock has a low share price and (C)there are a lot of shares already outstanding, you are in danger of a reverse.
Name change??? Are they buying an unrelated business? Name change will probably be combined with BOTH a reverse split and a large issuance of shares to the "aquisition"
Promotions are flags. If a company is thin on cash and starts spending money on stock promotions and not marketing of product, that a flashing neon flag. Why are they promoting? Because they care about their shareholders? Or does an insider or 3rd party have stock to sell?
The stock you posted about has a ton of PR's. Very few of which talk about any successes. I like to see product marketing dwarfing stock promotion. I want to see product being marketed to customers, not stock to gamblers.
In general, if it is a penny stock being promoted, and it isn't running as a currently operating viable business, stay away. It isn't being promoted for YOUR benefit
just see so many bashers on OPMG YAHOO BOARDS and i,m smart enough to know there is usually some slight truth even in the biggest basher's rantings.. dan
i,m more interested in learning the ways to spot "WHEN" they are starting the move towards a rev split or a name change or something else more toxic to meas an investor....is there documents they must file i can find? maybe on the SEC site OR?.. just trying to learn more here.... i dont need attitude just FACTS.. please provide links if possible.. thanks dan
Notes Notes and more notes
Note Payable to CSI
In July 2011, the Company issued a $450,000 note in connection with the CSI Agreement and it stipulated 18 equal monthly installments of $25,000 beginning in August 2011, see Notes 1 and 3 for additional information. During 2011, the Company repaid $50,000, leaving $400,000 outstanding, of which $300,000 was classified as currentas of September 30, 2011.
Convertible Note Payable
In May 2011, the Company issued to a law firm a $210,000 convertible note which is payable on demand of which $43,687 has been repaid leaving a balance of $166,313 as of September 30, 2011. The note is convertible at $0.011. Additionally, the Company issued the law firm 3,000,000, three-year warrants exercisable at $0.011. The note and warrants were issued in satisfaction of accounts payable due to the law firm. The warrants were valued using the Black-Scholes option pricing model with the following assumptions, stock price of $0.0085 (based on the grant date quoted trading price of the Company's common stock), expected terms of three years, volatility of 159% (based on historical volatility), and a risk-free interest rate of 1.84%. The relative fair value of these warrants, approximately $19,000, was fully expensed due to the note being payable on demand. There was no intrinsic value for the embedded conversion feature because the conversion rate of the note equaled the trading price of the Company’s common stock.
Convertible Promissory Note
In February 2011, the Company issued a $150,000, 6 month 12% promissory note due in August 2011. The note is secured with a priority lien on all the Company’s rights, titles, and interest in its assets, together with the proceeds thereof. The Company incurred $4,500 of an original issue discount which was deducted from the loan proceeds and was recorded as a debt discount and was being amortized over the loan term. In addition, the Company paid the lender $10,000 of legal fees which was recorded as a debt discount and was being amortized over the loan term and issued 6,000,000 warrants (with a cashless exercise provision) exercisable at $0.01 per share for a term of 2.5 years. The fair value of the warrants was $55,800, calculated using the Black-Scholes option pricing model with the following assumptions: stock price of $0.01 (based on the grant date quoted trading price of the Company's common stock), expected term of two and one-half years, volatility of 230% (based on historical volatility), and a risk-free interest rate of 1%.The relative fair market value of the warrants was $40,671 which was recorded as debt discount and was being amortized over the term of the note. The Company recorded the aggregate debt discounts of $55,171for this note (which consisted of the loan fee, legal fees and warrant discount) and amortized $39,055 to interest expense through June 2011.
In July 2011, the Company amended this note to add a conversion feature making the note convertible at $0.01 per share. All other terms remained the same. The debt modification was treated as a debt extinguishment under ASC 470-50. Accordingly, the remaining unamortized discount at the time of modification of $16,117 was written-off to loss on extinguishment of debt. There was no beneficial conversion value of the new note as the conversion price was deemed to be equal to the fair value of the common stock.

NOTES TO CONSOLIDATED FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
SEPTEMBER 30, 2011
(UNAUDITED)
In September 2011, as a result of the above mentioned note modification, the note holder converted $50,000 of the promissory note’s principal along with $10,675 of accrued interest into 6,067,561 shares of common stock, leaving $100,000 outstanding principal and $531 of accrued interest as of September 30, 2011.
They aren't the first one to do it either. There have been other scammy POS companies name dropping Bieber to lure new investors
If you don't understand enough
to confirm or dismiss what is happening with the company, why are you gambling your hard earned money on it???
Quick look at the company info confirms a billion shares outstanding and a 1 cent stock price.
A reverse split would not seem out of the question
Claiming Justin Bieber will be a spokesperson certianly activates my scamdar
http://www.otcmarkets.com/edgar/GetFilingHtml?FilingID=8282232
Current revenues for the previous 3 months $4,000 but they are going to hire Justin Bieber.
I smell floorless convertible on the way

In April 2010, through our wholly-owned subsidiary PhoneGuard, Inc., the Company entered into an asset purchase agreement and sublicense agreement with Cellular Spyware, Inc. (“CSI”). The asset acquisition gave the company rights to the name PhoneGuard whereby the Company then entered the mobile and smart phone application market. PhoneGuard acquired certain assets of CSI for an anti-virus and anti-malware software product and became the exclusive marketer within the United States and Canada.During August 2010 (in addition to anti-virus and anti-malware software), the Company also acquired an exclusive license for CSI's rights to a state-of-the-art anti-texting product in North, Central, and South Americas (see below). The Company did not commercialize the anti-virus product.
In May 2011, the Company entered into an agreement with Bieber Brands to promote the sale of the PhoneGuard product, see Note 9. In June 2011, the Company changed its focus from the sale of its anti-virus software to the sale of anti-texting software. In July 2011, the Company entered into an Asset Purchase Agreement (the “Agreement”) with CSI. In connection with the Agreement, the Company purchased all of the intellectual property to the anti-texting software owned by CSI (the “Software”). The Company had previously licensed the Software and had all rights to North, Central, and South Americas. As a result of the Agreement, the Company now owns all worldwide rights to the Software; see Note 4 for additional information. Around this time, the Company offered a free “lite” version of the Software to consumers via a soft launch.
thanks lowman just trying to understand the basher's words... they cant or wont explain and provide proof... so i figured i would ask around for opinions on the scenario.. dan
berdboy, it's impossible to answer your questions accurately. Only insiders could come close. The DTCC's chill may be a relatively simple matter that can be cleared up and reversed. Probably the only certainty is the buying market has been reduced, atleast temporarily. Other than that, it's anybody's guess.
questions concerning OPMG... this from a bashers rantings on the net..
[REVERSE SPLIT imminent....
BILLION shares outstanding and diluting......
Name Change from OPMG to PhoneGuard.....
Missing element: Toxic Reverse Split into
a Shell Company.....
DTC CHILL, to protect new shareholders,
has FROZEN the stock onto the Pinks].....
since they want to eventually change the name from OPMG to PHONEGUARD in your opinions will they rev split PHONEGUARD into a shell? [..please be very detailed in your answers..]
since this is on a DTCC chill wont this stop that from happening or put them under scrutiny by the SEC if they try and R/S?
is there a CROOKED way around the SEC PAPERWORK for them to do this and screw the current shareholders? if so HOW?
looking to understand these potentially crooked ways of screwing current investors and any other opinions on what this company may do that would be very detrimental [NON BASHING PLEASE] have enough basher opinions but so far [NOTHING THEY HAVE SADI CAN BE VERIFIED].... TYPICAL..
thanks

Took awhile. I wonder if it has anything to do with his anti-dilution clause?
Looks like Tom made the list

If a person can buy a NDE, then it's because their broker performs self-clearing, so they don't have too much of a worry. The big problem occurs when a stock becomes NDE after you own it, and you use a broker who clears thru Penson. That's when ya get slammed with those big fees.
I think the list I gave you actually has far more names on it than your original one. - not just MAAL
My point is if Ihubbers use your current source they might mistakenly buy a security which is in fact non-DTC
I appreciate the time you have put into this board. Thanks for the efforts.
Kind regards, Frank
I'll add it to the list next time I update it then. Thanx for pointing it out.
Hi lowman,
I rechecked with Zecco today (there clearing house is Penson). MAAL is non-DTC eligible.
They gave the link to this link, which includes MAAL.
https://www.zecco.com/forms/known-non-dtc-eligible-list/downloadform.aspx
Excellent article.
A MUST READ for all micro-cap investors/players:
http://wallstreetbranding.com/trading-volume-crash-on-the-micro-caps-how-can-your-company-thrive/
MAAL does not appear to be on any 'Cusips to be exited' lists, when doing a search on the DTCC site.
http://www.dtcc.com/legal/imp_notices/nscc/2011.php
Are you sure this list is correct?
I own a security called MAAL that (when I checked 2 weeks ago) was non-DTCC eligible.
It is not on your list.
Or have some now been made DTCC eligible again?
Yeah, funny how that works. Canadian companies can't get away with near as much chit there, so the scammers come to America. I have never trusted Canadian companies. Being from Mi., I know how Canadians have a disdain for Americans.
