It is only sheer boredom/the urge to make something happen that prompts me to ER play, a generally not too good idea.

Why SSR Mining Shares Are Falling Today
BY Benzinga — 3:56 PM ET 06/27/2022
(I bot it yest.)
https://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SSRM.TO
SSR Mining Inc NASDAQ:SSRM shares are trading lower Monday after the company said it experienced a minor cyanide leak at one of its mines.
SSR Mining said it was aware of reports indicating a potential temporary halt of operations at its Çöpler mine and is seeking a formal response from the Ministry of Environment.
"On June 21st, SSR Mining experienced a minor leak estimated at eight kilograms of cyanide within the diluted solution from a pipeline that pumps solution to the heap leach pad. This leak was within the mine operating area and was cleaned up immediately without any environmental impact or discharge from site," the company said.
SSR Mining will await formal communication from the relevant authorities prior to pursuing any particular course of action regarding the operation of the mine.

Sorry to see CNBC's morning stock related summary I bring so diluted of late. Hopefully just because of vacations ??
CNBC
1. Stocks attempt to rebound
Futures rose Tuesday morning after stocks’ attempt to keep a rally going fizzled Monday. Investors are still weighing the risks of supercharged inflation as rates rise and more people begin to fear a potential recession. Investors will have more economic data to consider, as well. The June consumer confidence report is due at 10 a.m. ET on Tuesday, while S&P Case-Shiller is slated to report on the rate of home price growth in April.
2. Big banks and dividends
Several Wall Street banks raised their dividends after passing their annual Federal Reserve stress tests. Wells Fargo and Goldman Sachs announced a couple of the biggest increases — 20% and 25%, respectively. However, two other big names, Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase, decided to keep their dividend levels flat, despite passing the stress test. “We will continue to use our capital to invest in and grow our market-leading businesses, pay a sustainable dividend and we will retain capital to fully satisfy our future regulatory requirements,” JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon said in a release.
3. Lagarde on recession concerns
Europe, destabilized by Russia’s war on Ukraine, is contending with declining growth and an energy crisis. But European Central Bank leader Christine Lagarde is trying to tamp down concerns about a potential recession this year in the euro zone. “We have markedly revised down our forecasts for growth in the next two years,” she said Tuesday. “But we are still expecting positive growth rates due to the domestic buffers against the loss of growth momentum.” Lagarde also said the central bank would raise rates faster, if needed, to curtail inflation.
4. JetBlue raises its offer, again
The JetBlue-Spirit-Frontier saga is heading to a climax this week. Spirit shareholders are slated to vote on fellow discount airline Frontier’s acquisition offer Thursday. JetBlue isn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet, though. JetBlue boosted its offer price for Spirit yet again Monday evening, days after Frontier sweetened its own bid and Spirit’s board said it preferred to merge with Frontier. Either merger would create the fifth-largest carrier in the U.S.
5. Nike beats, but challenges remain
Nike posted quarterly earnings and revenue Monday that surpassed Wall Street’s expectations — even as the company grappled with skyrocketing inflation in the U.S., a war-addled European market and tight Covid lockdowns in China. Investors aren’t impressed, however. Shares of Nike fell in premarket trading. The shoe and sportswear maker said it’s still dealing with major problems in the supply chain, including longer shipping times and elevated transportation costs.

<--------SWBI> For Smith & Wesson, Load, Cock, and Fire another round
Here's how to aim for this gunmaker once more with a covered-call play.
By BRET JENSEN Jun 26, 2022 | 07:30 AM EDT
It's time for another round of Smith & Wesson (SWBI) .
I targeted this iconic gunmaker in December and showed why my covered-call strategy appeared to hold some firepower. The shares got knocked down approximately 10% from that time, but given the hit taken by the markets, especially in small-cap names, the recommendation has easily outgunned the overall market. With the option premiums and a couple of dividend payouts, it has actually shown a gain over that time.
(I'm now adding a few at a time on the dips-goal is to get an average below $15.50)

DISCLAIMER:
1. DO THE MATH!!! - Before placing any trade, do the math. Where is the trigger? Where is the proper stop based on the chart setup? How many shares should I buy? This is easy to figure out. You never want to lose more than 1% of your trading account balance on any given trade. So, if you have a $30,000 account, your maximum acceptable loss on any given trade should be $300. If the stop is .20 cents below the entry price (again, based on the chart setup), then you should not buy more than 1500 shares (for the purpose of this lesson I have left commissions out of the equation for simplicity).
2. PAY YOURSELF!!! - Once you have a small profit (I use a dime as a rough personal guideline) sell part of your position and move your stop to breakeven on the rest. You will have very few losing trades if you do this, and the losses you do have will be small.
3. STOP TRADING!!! - What do I mean by this? If you hit your daily goal (everyone should have one and make it realistic) stop trading. Afternoons are tougher to trade than mornings anyway, so take the money and run....tomorrow is another day.
4. STOP TRADING!!! - Didn't we go over this already? Well, this one has another meaning. If you lose 1/2 the amount of your daily goal, stop trading and come back tomorrow. For instance, if your goal is to make $500 a day, and you are down $250 on the day, quit for the day. This is the best way to avoid falling into a 'trading death spiral'.
