No price quotes yet. But it just went live a few days ago. A lot of trading volume. Huge dump right after launch. Went down to .026, but has settled in a channel close to .044. The thing now is the Flare Improvement Proposal 01 (FIP.01) that has yet to be scheduled for a vote, but changes the distribution model. Currently 15% of snapshot amount was recently dispersed. The remaining 85% was originally to be going to the same wallets registered at the snapshot, and that's how it remains until the vote. I believe the vote will pass, every incentive for those who have the coins, and so the votes, to vote yes. If it passes, the remaining 85% of the distribution will go not the original snapshot holders but to the current coin holders. So those who sell their original 15% distribution will not get the remaining 85%, if the vote passes...instead whoever bought their original 15% will get the remaining 85%. Long and short is that if the vote passes, each coin bought right now will also make you eligible for a further 5.666666 coins over the distribution life-term (2 1/2 to 3 years). So the current price of .0431, if the vote passes, actually equates to a cost per coin basis of .0065. Not to mention the use case and functionality of the Flare Network. I'm buying them up as I move money around. At some point they will announce the date of the vote, and I plan to buy until that date. But know in advance that you must buy them, move them to a supported wallet, and in that wallet wrap the coins and delegate them to an FTSO provider on the Flare Network. That qualifies you to the remaining 85% distribution (if the vote passes) as well as to Network rewards every Epoch (every 3.5 days). As far as I'm concerned it\s the hottest thing going right now. Forget that it took them way longer to launch than originally anticipated, now that it is live I think it's hot right now, and will be even hotter as the use case fleshes out on the Network. GLTA

The $FLR distribution will start when the Flare Network goes live. The team is working to make this happen SAFELY as soon as possible. It is dependent on finishing security testing. We expect this at the end of June +/- 2-4 weeks.

This is a testnet without real tokens designed to help you learn how to use Flare Finance defi dapps operating on the Flare Network. I think those who do the best during the test can also win some NFT. I don't really get into NFTs so you'd have to go to their Discord to find out more about that. Good luck anyone who decides to participate. At minimum we'll have training so we can hit the ground running once the Flare Network with FLR and the Flare Finance Platform with DFLR----turned into---->YFLR goes live and real money is involved.

Since FLR doesn't launch until a little later this year, what is trading is IOU's. They are exchange listed IOU's so they are standing good for them, they issued the IOU's so FLR could start trading now. As far as I know the only exchanges that trade FLR IOU's are Bitrue, Poloniex, and Giottus. But neither Poloniex nor Giottus allow US customers, and American citizens cannot trade FLR on Bitrue to comply with US regulations. FLR will launch later this year and a week later Flare Finance will airdrop DFLR to FLR holders, so there will be a few days window to buy FLR once it launches in order to accumulate for the Flare Finance airdrop.

Message board for the Spark (FLR) coin launching in May (per the last update of Flare Network).

Flare is a distributed network. It can be used to create two-way bridges between networks, such as Ethereum and the XRP Ledger. This means that it allows the XRP token to be used with smart contracts. Other coins can be added with a governance vote once launched. The Flare Network will go live with XRP, Litecoin, and Doge immediately useable on the platform. All other coins will be added by governance vote of FLR holders. Flare Network and it's Spark (FLR) enables non-Turing complete coins to be used in smart contract (75% of all cryptocurrencies are non-Turing complete, including Bitcoin). FLR has huge potential as it solves a use case problem for any non-smart contract capable coin allowed onto the platform. And with the high ETH gas fees involved with the ERC20 defi tokens use on defi platforms, FLR could become a major competitor in this field. Other smart contract platforms are currently booming, such as ADA Cardano and BNB Binance smartchain defi projects like Pancake Swap. FLR will enter this field with some unique aspects to all the others.
