Message board for the Spark (FLR) coin launching in May (per the last update of Flare Network).

Flare is a distributed network. It can be used to create two-way bridges between networks, such as Ethereum and the XRP Ledger. This means that it allows the XRP token to be used with smart contracts. Other coins can be added with a governance vote once launched. The Flare Network will go live with XRP, Litecoin, and Doge immediately useable on the platform. All other coins will be added by governance vote of FLR holders. Flare Network and it's Spark (FLR) enables non-Turing complete coins to be used in smart contract (75% of all cryptocurrencies are non-Turing complete, including Bitcoin). FLR has huge potential as it solves a use case problem for any non-smart contract capable coin allowed onto the platform. And with the high ETH gas fees involved with the ERC20 defi tokens use on defi platforms, FLR could become a major competitor in this field. Other smart contract platforms are currently booming, such as ADA Cardano and BNB Binance smartchain defi projects like Pancake Swap. FLR will enter this field with some unique aspects to all the others.
