over 40 cents and still climbing. This was another obviously easy trade. There will be news from this one that puts it over a buck by fall based on the info coming out of SA.

Sola's breaking out today. Up on very strong volume and no news yet. Someone may be expecting permits though... Something seems to be up.
SOLA RESOURCE CORP.
(the “Company”)
February 7, 2007
Trading Symbol: SL (TSX-V)
PRESS RELEASE
Sola’s kimberlite indicator mineral exploration program registers yet
another diamond discovery on the Company’s Rondônia claims and
ground-based geophysics survey continues in the Carolina pipe area.
During the latest phase of its regional kimberlite indicator mineral (KIM)
exploration program, Sola Resource Corp has ventured further afield from its five
(5) recently announced discrete and separate KIM anomalies.
Yesterday, Sola’s field crews registered a new discovery of diamonds on the
Company’s claims, some 30 km from its diamond-bearing Carolina kimberlite
pipe. The field personnel reported that they have recovered 3 diamonds (two
stones weighing 0.03 carats and another weighing 0.04 carats) in a soil sample.
Numerous occurrences of ilmenites and some chromites have been located
within this domain. The presence of these minerals and diamonds is an indication
of the potential for the discovery of a sixth new kimberlite domain on Sola’s
2,985.7 km
2
claims area.
A ground-based geophysical survey of the area around the diamondiferous
Carolina kimberlite pipe is progressing well. The partial and preliminary data plots
of the first magnetic survey have been posted on Sola’s website at
http://www.solaresourcecorp.com/photo_gallery.php. The data show that the
Carolina kimberlite exhibits a typical dipolar anomaly. A number of other dipole
anomalies across the surveyed area will be tested for their possible association
with new kimberlites within a potential major cluster.
The Company is also pleased to report that the Operator (Canamera
Geoscience) has received its Brazilian Supplemental Type Certificate which
permits it to fly the helicopter-borne geophysics platform.
Thomas Kovacs, President of Sola states: “Sola has now explored a mere
fraction of its claims in Rondônia and we again see a demonstration of the
rewards of our Kimberlite Indicator Mineral surveys and of our ground
geophysical surveys. Follow-up ground geophysical investigations of our six new
diamond discovery areas will be effected in the coming months. As predicted,
2007 is bringing encouraging news for our investors.”

Sola's Carolina Diamondiferous Kimberlite in Rondonia Shows Increased Tonnage Potential and Appears to Have an Associated Kimberlite Cluster
1/26/2007
CALGARY, ALBERTA, Jan 26, 2007 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) --
Sola Resource Corporation (TSX VENTURE: SL) ("the Company") has now received preliminary interpretations of ground-based magnetometer surveys over the Carolina kimberlite pipe and its immediate environs.
Data from the magnetic survey of the Carolina pipe reveal that the pipe has a probable area of 2.1 hectares (5.2 acres), almost twice the area previously estimated by surface prospecting. This expansion of the pipe's potential tonnage is in part validated by a limited shallow drill program, performed in 2006, which located kimberlite outside the pipe's boundary estimated during the original geological survey of the area.
The magnetometer survey data have also revealed at least three (3) other anomalies in the immediate vicinity of the Carolina pipe with the same magnetic signature as the pipe. These anomalies have thus been interpreted as other potential kimberlite bodies which form part of a local cluster of volcanic centres.
Work is continuing on the magnetometer survey with a view towards the identification of any further pipes in this cluster. Concurrent with the geophysical investigation, Sola's operator is immediately pushing ahead with more detailed mineralogical/geochemical investigation of the magnetic anomalies and with a shallow drill program to sample the bedrocks at these localities.
Thomas Kovacs, CEO of the Company, stated that "The news of these discoveries clearly demonstrates the acumen of our exploration teams. The encouraging news of the increased tonnage potential of the diamond-bearing pipe and of an associated kimberlite cluster augurs well for the continuing success of Sola's Rondonia project during 2007."

Sometimes these mining plays pay off.
Sola news today. I think this is one of the best summer plays going into 2007. Current trading range in the 20-30 cent area, I would think any share one can get under 20 cents is good for a double before summer. The speed with which they are working is very encouraging.
I will place a standing buy order at a lower entry price for now and hope to snag a few shares on any intraday drops.

heres another diamond explorer in brazil, when i compare it with sola it makes sola look like it is really undervalued. I'm still doing some research, but so far i think there is a high probability that they will have some positive results in 2007 and that should make this stock a great trade.
I plan on watching the trade logs for a while and may take a position before the month is over if things go as planned.

For those who are interested yahoo lists Sola as sl.v. It trades on the TSX venture exchange.
Information is best found on the Canadian side at
http://www.stockhouse.com/comp_info.asp?view=&Displaycurrency=US&symbol=SL&table=list
Be sure to select US currency for the display (unless you're in Canada eh?) News is generally posted there as well as on the company site at http://www.solaresourcecorp.com/ .
If you wish to buy it in the States it trades under SOLAF on the pink sheets.
Sola is a reporting company and subject to Canadian rules so don't let the .pk fool you. They are subject to the 43-101 standard put in place after the Bre-X fiasco and do not tend towards wild claims or promises.
At the moment the company is waiting for a permit modification that will allow them to take a large bulk sample. They are set up with a 400 TPD plant so they think it's happening (pictures in company presentation on homepage). A recent mini bulk sample recovered some very nice stones, pictures of which are available on the website as well.
I own this stock and I think it'll be rocking quite soon. There's a diamondiferous kimberlite, indications of 4 or 5 more, huge holdings in producing area, a plant on site and a friendly climate (both the weather and regulatory environment)
As always, don't bet what you can't lose, but if ya have a taste for risk and reward... come in with something.
