SOLA RESOURCE CORP. (the “Company”) February 7, 2007 Trading Symbol: SL (TSX-V) PRESS RELEASE Sola’s kimberlite indicator mineral exploration program registers yet another diamond discovery on the Company’s Rondônia claims and ground-based geophysics survey continues in the Carolina pipe area. During the latest phase of its regional kimberlite indicator mineral (KIM) exploration program, Sola Resource Corp has ventured further afield from its five (5) recently announced discrete and separate KIM anomalies. Yesterday, Sola’s field crews registered a new discovery of diamonds on the Company’s claims, some 30 km from its diamond-bearing Carolina kimberlite pipe. The field personnel reported that they have recovered 3 diamonds (two stones weighing 0.03 carats and another weighing 0.04 carats) in a soil sample. Numerous occurrences of ilmenites and some chromites have been located within this domain. The presence of these minerals and diamonds is an indication of the potential for the discovery of a sixth new kimberlite domain on Sola’s 2,985.7 km 2 claims area. A ground-based geophysical survey of the area around the diamondiferous Carolina kimberlite pipe is progressing well. The partial and preliminary data plots of the first magnetic survey have been posted on Sola’s website at http://www.solaresourcecorp.com/photo_gallery.php. The data show that the Carolina kimberlite exhibits a typical dipolar anomaly. A number of other dipole anomalies across the surveyed area will be tested for their possible association with new kimberlites within a potential major cluster. The Company is also pleased to report that the Operator (Canamera Geoscience) has received its Brazilian Supplemental Type Certificate which permits it to fly the helicopter-borne geophysics platform. Thomas Kovacs, President of Sola states: “Sola has now explored a mere fraction of its claims in Rondônia and we again see a demonstration of the rewards of our Kimberlite Indicator Mineral surveys and of our ground geophysical surveys. Follow-up ground geophysical investigations of our six new diamond discovery areas will be effected in the coming months. As predicted, 2007 is bringing encouraging news for our investors.” ______________________________________________________________________ Prof. Roger D. Morton B.Sc., Ph.D., P.Geol.
