(“Lynk” or “the Company”), a leading satellite direct-to-device provider, today announced the appointment of Ramu Potarazu as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Steven Fay as Chief Financial Officer (CFO), with both also being appointed to Lynk’s Board of Directors (the “Lynk Board”). Potarazu succeeds interim CEO Dan Dooley, who is resuming the position of Chief Commercial Officer.

These appointments received unanimous approval following a search led by the Lynk Board in partnership with the leadership of Slam Corp. (OTCQX: SLAMF) and coincides with new capital investments from Lynk’s key shareholders. Lynk previously announced plans to become a publicly listed company through a business combination agreement (the “Business Combination”) with Slam Corp. This leadership transition is intended to be a part of a strategic executive realignment to bolster the Company’s executive ranks with seasoned industry veterans as it prepares to enter the public markets.

Potarazu and Fay each bring decades of experience building satellite and technology companies, executing transformative strategic, commercial, and capital markets transactions, raising and deploying capital, and executing growth initiatives in both the public and private markets. The Lynk Board and Slam Corp. team view this experience to be mission critical to the Company as it looks to access and deploy capital to expand business operations.

During his career, Potarazu spent over 20 years in various capacities in both the satellite and new technology industries. Additionally, he also has 15 years of experience as Chief Executive Officer in venture-backed technology and content companies where he drove growth, institutionalized talent bases and led key strategic transactions including significant capital raises. He has served as director on the boards of several public companies, assuming various governance roles and leading M&A initiatives over the past decade.

Fay brings more than 20 years of experience building corporate financial functions and optimizing capital structures for strategic growth in both satellite and technology companies. He spent the past 10 years, serving as a founding executive member and deputy CFO of OneWeb, a global low earth orbit (LEO) satellite communications company, where he led all finance and early-stage business operations, as well as securing debt and equity financing from strategic investors. Prior to OneWeb, Fay was with Google (NASDAQ: GOOG) and SiriusXM (NASDAQ: SIRI).

On May 21, 2024, the Panel issued written notice of its decision to grant the Company’s request for an exception to its listing deficiency until August 26, 2024 in light of the progress the Company has made toward closing the Company’s previously disclosed business combination with Lynk. The Panel advised the Company that August 26, 2024 represents the full extent of the Panel’s discretion to grant continued listing while the Company is non-compliant with Nasdaq’s Listing Rules.

Globe partners with Lynk to launch satellite-to-phone service in remote areas


Telecommunications giant Globe Telecom Inc. has partnered with Lynk Global to launch a customer pilot program to assess the potential of satellite-direct-to-phone communication services in remote places in the Philippines.

In a news release on Wednesday, Globe said its service agreement with Lynk begins this month with a live pilot trial launch targeted for this year.

Falls Church, VA—March 12, 2024—Lynk Global, Inc. (“Lynk”), the world’s leading satellite-direct-to-mobile-phone (“Sat2Phone”) telecoms provider, today announced the successful deployment of two more “cell-towers-in-space.” The satellites will further Lynk’s efforts to provide universal mobile connectivity. The two satellite cell towers were launched on the Transporter–10 rideshare mission launched by

SpaceX on March 4 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

“The successful deployment of our latest cell towers in space furthers our mission to connect everyone, everywhere. It also continues our momentum to enable Sat2Phone services globally as each satellite enhances our network resiliency and increases our mobile coverage,” said Lynk CTO and co-founder Tyghe Speidel. Speidel continued “these satellites also have new capabilities and improvements across many systems compared to our previous birds … a fast rate of innovation at lower costs is enabled by our strategy of rapidly-iterating satellite technology.”

Since deployment on orbit, these satellites have been in contact with Lynk’s ground operations and are progressing through their commissioning process. Once cleared for operational service, these satellites will provide mobile connectivity, eventually serving all of Lynk’s 40 plus mobile network operator partners spanning Earth. Lynk’s previously launched satellites have proven their capability across the globe. Lynk believes it remains the only company in the world to receive a commercial license for Sat2Phone service from the Federal Communications Commission and is currently providing commercial service to Lynk’s global customer network around the world.

Lynk Announces Sat2Phone Contract with U.S. Government

DISA Agreement with Lynk is a “First of its Kind”

Falls Church, VA – April 24, 2024–Lynk Global, Inc. (Lynk), the world’s leading satellite-direct-to-standard-phone service (sat2phone) provider, today announced that it has signed a contract with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide commercial sat2phone services to the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), and other U.S. government agencies.

This contract enables DoD, DHS and other U.S. government agencies to commercially purchase sat2phone services for the next 5 years, and includes an option to extend the contract 5 more years. Services available under the contract include SMS text messaging, emergency cell broadcast alerts, and LynkCast weather & information broadcast services.

Margo Deckard, Lynk’s co-founder and COO said, “Lynk will enable U.S. government agencies to access life-saving emergency communications to help the American people when terrestrial mobile networks are non-existent or have failed. DISA and U.S. Space Force will save lives through the Proliferated Low Earth Orbit (PLEO) contract vehicle.” Deckard added, “We are humbled to serve the people who risk their lives for the American people.”

The U.S. government is the world’s largest customer of commercial satellite communications, and buys those services through DISA. In 2022, DISA released a PLEO satellite services solicitation for the first time. Of the 20 companies that received DISA PLEO awards, Lynk is the only firm which received a contract for sat2phone connectivity.
