Well, you better know what you are doing if you expect to make any money you can keep in Silver. This management is focused on Gold because that is where the money is.
I am more concerned about the idiot who paints the stock down to .13 from .14 with a $130 buy then anything else. Why not do it with a $13 order and accomplish the same result? This trick works both ways as you will see if this continues. The company has created a vacuum that can be filled with this kind of devilish silliness and if that is the game, I am prepared to play hardball.
It should be obvious that the value of the stock can be manipulated and that is what just happened. Game On!
I think there is a good chance you will get your shares under a dime. I might buy back in at that price, although a good entry, good claims, and good mills is no guarantee anymore.
I'm not encouraged if any of the same crew that was involved with US Silver is involved here.
The only folks that ever got anything done for the share price was that National Anti Inflation group when the recommended US Silver for their group.
That did more for the share price than anything management, or any investor relations group ever did.
Perhaps if these guys can ever get into production (and share the news) we can reinvent the wheel and have the anti inflation guys recommend SHSH!
Quite frankly, I think that junior miners as well as many penny stock folks say way too much of the wrong thing at the wrong time to the wrong people. These guys have been around the block a few times and they know what to say and when to say it. We have not heard one once of speculation from them in any of their pubs and until it benefits the stockholders in some way I hope they keep it that way.
Show us the money and leave the bs at the door. So far they have told us what they are going to do. Now it's coming up on the time to show us what they are doing and what the results really are. Nothing else is sustainable in terms of value.
Realistically, the stock has not been worth what it is selling for as long as I have been looking at it for about a year. If they continue to play it close to the vest maybe we can get some cheapies before production numbers blow the lid off.
The same crew that turned US Silver around is on this one. But the stock remains dormant and like Cork said, nothing ever seems to come from their current assets. Now they're casting about for more but little interest has been generated.
I have been waiting for a long time to snag some shares at under a dime. Maybe they'll come...
When it comes to, quote: "What more do you want?" you got to be kidding.
Some basic information would be a good start. They got a gold mill, a silver mill, and great claims. Presumably the Lakeview Mill is functional right now. That's more than a lot of juniors have to work with. Let's hear the status on upgrades, production, timelines etc. That's not too much to ask.
I don't give a chit about developing a track record in Utah. I'd like to see them develop a track record with the assets they have right now.
We are on the same page about something. I really haven't looked nor cared about what happened in 2010. I think the company has been Lex's personal ATM machine and he could hardly wait to sell it. And that was inevitable.
I talked to him about the NI-43-101 for the Kimberly Mine and wanted to get a copy. Couldn't find it in Canada and he ultimately told me that it was being updated. This is after I told him it was illegal to advertise it or use it in the US. But then, who really cares.
It was also after they announced the Strand Mine acquisition where there is a pretty good resource definition by a qualified person (engineer geologist) provided in the PR.
The most interesting acquisition is the Utah JV. This is where Crosby and company can really flex their muscle by raising the cash to fund the deal.
Track record has everything to do with the success of this crew and they have the track record.
Even more interesting is the acquisition(s) we don't know about. Use this one as a model. Earn out 50% by simply raising the money to put it into production. I can see a series of JV acquisitions of ready to go to production deals ahead. Some using convertible notes, some using reverse mergers into subsidiary companies and some using A/S for direct stock swaps or you name it.
The problem with the current investor group is they have been sitting and waiting and waiting and waiting for something to happen so long they have forgotten they have a valuable investment.
The market makers are and have always been in complete control of this puppy and will continue to be unless a market is created by someone. One of these days the company is going to promote itself and blow the lid off.
When, I look at the O/S and the potential net income from operations for this year alone from planned silver and gold production, the value per share reaches far into the dollars. The last time I looked the multiple for junior miners is over 20.
Otherwise, I guess I really don't get what you mean by "what is or isn't really going on". This is 2012. As far as I know the company is current with all SEC filings and they have released Press Releases informing of acquisitions and changes in management. They even had an annual meeting in December in Idaho. What more do you want?
You may have "addressed the production question" but that doesn't necessarily have anything to do with what is or isn't going on.
There has never been any mention of the results of the 14 ton March 30th 2010 shipment of silver gold lead zinc concentrates that I could find.
No mention of any production since that time either.
The Lakeview Mill is supposed to still be working. Said so in the 10-30-10 PR and on the first page of the website.
It would be professional to inform the investment world what is going on.
I called about a year ago, and the guy that answered sounded like the janitor or something.
I thought I addressed the Production Question but here it goes again.
Permitting actually means the final permit to begin production. The end of a series of permits from various agencies usually. That is what I believe is meant by Permitting. No one waits to for a permit to get ready for production of any kind. They are ready to begin mining as soon as the final permit issued. Part of the permitting process is to inspect the operating systems to make sure they work properly before they are applied to the production process.
In the Strand Mine PR it is stated that production will begin in the Spring.
It has been stated elsewhere that the Rescue/Kimberly Mines are being rehabbed and getting ready for production this spring. I believe they have pictures up on the website.
So, if you really want to know for sure, just give Crosby a call and ask him.
Desert Hawk is a privately held corporation I believe.
What is the ticker for Desert Hawk? TIA
Howdy MWM for what it's worth, the Rescue Mine has a 120 ton per day, on-site mill that is getting refurbished but the Lakeview Mill (100 TPD) is supposed to be working.
There has never been any mention of the results of the 14 ton March 30th 2010 shipment of silver gold lead zinc concentrates that I could find.
It is an assumption that as of the 10-30-10 PR Lakeview was supposed to still be working.
I'd kind of like to know what the hell they been doing too.
FYI:
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/shoshone-silvergold-announces-letter-of-intent-to-acquire-a-50-interest-in-the-gold-hill-district-properties-held-by-desert-hawk-gold-corp-2012-02-15?siteid=nbsh
The idea conveyed is to obtain the permits needed to commence a mining operation within a year. To me that means you are actually mining when you obtain the final permit after construction and fulfilling all other requirements. You will not get a permit for the operation unless it is fully operational in every way and that is when you commence mining. Why wouldn't you? Additionally, this operation id in Utah a very friendly mining state as far as I can see.
Otherwise, it is mentioned in other company press releases that the Strand Silver mine and Kimberly or Rescue Gold Mine would be in production this spring. That the Kimberly or Rescue Gold Gold Mine is actually under construction this winter to improve and update the infrastructure. It was mentioned that about 50% of The Strand Silver resource was at or near the surface and easily extracted and delivered to the mill to convert into concentrate. An Engineer took numerous samples and produced assay results that were reported.
The Kimberly gold mine was the subject of a NI 43-101 study some years ago as mentioned on the website, There is no link to the document on the website and no record of it on SEDAR. When asked about the document, I was told that it is being updated. However as you know it is not legal for a US based company to use this document for resource definition for a U.S. Property. Crosby and company had nothing to do with this little anomaly. Lex had no idea what I was talking about.
Having researched many mining operations throughout the world, this one looks as good as they get considering the quality of management, the availability of financing and the quality and quantity of the resources. Why this company is not in the limelight is beyond me.
Also, how the price of the stock conforms to almost perfect 5 point spreads between trades is suspect.
Good Luck and Good Fortune
Here is the last PR, no where does it say that the last purchased mine will be in Production. Can you please point out to me where in the world you are seeing anything that says any of their mines will be in production within one year?
This paragraph here says that permitting will be granted within one year, permitting does not mean production, in most cases it takes years after permits are granted before production would start...
Buddy, I don't know who you are accusing of making stuff up but if you would use your experience and do the due diligence you would learn exactly what the company has said and not said. Otherwise I am not interested in pointing out every detail of every release of information considering I believe every investor should do their own due-diligence. You know as well as I that an incomplete study of the facts leads to erroneous conclusions.
Buddy, i've been playing pennies for 10+ years and I've had SHSH on watch for about 4 years. I know where SHSH sits and will continue to watch, i just don't care for people who make stuff up. As far as I know they are no where near producing anything...
It's not about discrepancy so much as it is about the timing of the release of information and data. Maybe you can show us from the company website where there has been a long standing blatant misrepresentation, perhaps even an illegal representation. I pointed this out to the company some time ago but have not checked to see if it has been corrected.
I am much more interested in what the new management has done and what they are going to do now and in the future. Particularly with mining companies if you wait until they do it and report it the train will have left the station and you miss the ride.
I would never found this company last year if I did that. You will see what I mean as time goes on. I'ts your money and do with it what you wish. In penny land pony's are found in the poop all the time but you need to dig to find them. It is also true that dead pony's can be found. Actually, most of them are dead.
No Doubt! wonder how there could be a discrepancy from PR's to SEC filings!!!
Hysterical!
LOL, why wouldn't you just trust the PRs? They're never wrong...
LOL! Yeah, I'll stick to the filings...
Then you are not reading the press releases. The SEC filings are not in sync.
I still don't see anything about production?
Cited a beginning production in the spring of this year is the Strand Silver Mine and the Kimberly Gold mine that is an underground mine and they showed pictures of it being prepared to production this spring. The newly acquired 50 JV, the name escapes me is scheduled for production later this year. This is not mystery and can all be found in the filings and press releases. Don't know why you can't find it.
What 3 mines are in operation? I just read the Q and I don't see anything saying anything is even close to operational?
Mindbogglingly disregard for shareholder equity. Maybe this is one of those that all of a sudden warps from $.20 to $5.00 overnight. With three mines in operation this year and we know the resource available on two of them so far, where's the mystery.
And, with only 53 million shares outstanding?
This is so far off the radar it may as well be on Mars.
We need to rename this company the "LOST MINING COMPANY".
It's probably already worth $1.00 per share and only a few know it and are taking advantage of that knowledge.
I don't even need to have inside information and I think so just because of the last two acquisitions let alone cranking up mining production of both a silver mine and a gold mine probably right about now.
Very perceptive. Thanks for the look inside the mind of a pro.
Unfortunately, you are right. Especially with the penny miners. Too many are also too thinly traded, are run basically by mom and pop types and have large spreads which makes it easy to lose.
I think this one is different. They have a lot of potential, good properties and serious management. Still, it will stay dormant until it doesn't. We're not on the inside so we can't know.
The PM miners in general have not been allowed to participate in the market run. I suspect the bankers' collective fat thumb is on the wheel and they won't let miners, gold or silver go up. This too will keep going on until market forces put a hammer on their thumb.
I think you are partially correct but if you don't have the right management they will dilute you into oblivion. Especially in mining plays. Happens every day. One day your rich and next your poor.
To me basically, it's the 3 legged stool of management, resource and finance. Any one of the three gets out of whack and run for the hills.
I think there is some potential here for sure. I dont think it will be based on management, more so how much gold they can extract or if its there in quantity.
I can point out 100's if not 1000' of start up exploration stage and junior miners who will be among the 98% of those who will never make it this business. This company is not one of them.
How the marketplace could overlooks this gem is beyond me. There are investors loosing money every day in gold mining investments where there is absolutely nothing real about their resource, management or finance. This company is not one of them.
We do have enough information about the Strand Mine resource to predict net income from production this spring.
We do not have any information about the Kimberly Gold mining operations to predict net income from production starting this spring.
I don't think we have numbers on the new JV yet.
And, we have no numbers on the existing claims and sites scattered all over Idaho and the Northwest. There's got to be a pony in it somewhere.
My point is that these new guys are not sitting on their hands, they are creating and adding value. I think we will see a lot more of this in the future.
Do you know how many gold mining companies are being run by former hairdressers and travel agents? Trust me, lots.
This company is not one of them.
I have been slowly improving my position here because as long as there is no dilution coming and there is no evidence of that, this is a great buy.
One of these days it will suddenly surprise everyone that the pps shot up to way over $1.00 overnight. 1000% to 3000% increases happen quite often in pennyland for just about no reason at all. What do you think will happen when there is a good reason , like EARNINGS!
As always much good luck and good fortune with your trades.
So are we making some gold or what, how long is this going to take!?
Get down below a dime and I'm a big buyer.
Been waiting a long time.
nice trading and welcome aboard....
Gee, somebody must have leaked the fact that the company is going to start mining gold and silver in Idaho in two month. Oh! Not to mention the new gold mining acquisition and whatever else these guys announce they have closed in the near term.
Hows the weather in Idaho you ask? Around 65 degrees in and around the mines today, the snow is melting or nearly gone. How do we know? A pilot friend of ours flew the area today and that is his weather report.
You know, I have run the numbers on the silver production from the resource stats and guessed what the Kimberly mine might produce given it is historical and with only 51,000,000 shares outstanding at today's commodity prices the bottom line is going to blow your sox off this year.
Well, good luck and good fortune to all. Luckily I made enough money in the Penny's last month to get my position up to 30,000 shares here. My next goal is 50,000 shares if the prices stay down in this neighborhood. It is good to profit from very short term plays and hide the money in long term production plays like SHSH.
Leave it to SHSH to go up on a big down day for silver and gold.
That of course is the correct answer.
As someone told me today, "You never know with the pennies."
He was right. I do know one thing: If SHSH can get below a dime, I'll be buying with both hands.
The only market thinner than SHSH is no market at all. A massive 10 trades today. Not one seller is asking more than $.15 per share. How is this possible? There are a large number of exploration stage companies with proven resources and feasibility studies who would cut off an arm for the investment in this company. Heck, there are producing miners who find it hard to raise money yet there are scams that raise 10's of millions every day with promotional schemes as their only asset. Something is holding back the realization of the true value of this company and it isn't management, operations, the business plan, the existing and newly acquired resources or anything I can identify. We certainly don't know the details but with what we do know couldn't you build a case that it's not much of stretch to get to $1.00 per share with just the planed production starting this spring? We just witnessed a company with questionable resources grow from under $.20 to $1.70 per share in two months. Well it's back down to earth but why wouldn't the prudent investor be beating down the door to buy a real company like SHSH?
Day Trade! Shoot, you can hardly week or month trade this sloth. I doubt Crosby wants the headaches but they do need to loosen up.
When they get to production it will probably happen automatically but I can't imagine the current investor crowd will sell out of their IRA's or socks wherever they have hidden away those shares.
Most likely, they will issue more shares when they can promote the company without a lot of hype or expense and without too much dilution. From where we are now it would be a no brainier to promote this to $1.00 per share on almost nothing but real test results and the right promotion. They know what they have and they are getting ready to get ready, making all the right moves to get there.

CFTN announced their $12 million financing today.
Thank you for the excellent DD.
SHSH new connection with CFTN.......
CFTN(Clifton Mining) has all the rights to the Gold Hill district. They have an agreement with Desert Hawk and now SHSH to mine the area. CFTN will receive a 15% NSR(Net smelter royalty) from the mining. CFTN is debt free and will just take their cut without doing anything. SHSH and Desert Hawk will pay for and do all the mining and pay CFTN their 15% share. When these properties get into full production, they should bring in over $10M per year for CFTN alone.
CFTN also owns about 8% of Desert Hawk and 21% of ABL(American Biotech Labs). ABL is a profitable Biotech firm with about $10M in sales per year.
I agree 100 percent.
The traders are going to to find out about this one of these days so we might as well help it along. I am going to take to all the mining boards and the promotional boards. One of them might pick it up and run.
On the positive side there certainly is no Pump and Dump going on from paid promotion and investors and day traders like that.
The problem is that the chart is ugly and technical's look bad. Maybe that can be overcome with a little good volume.
With all due respect I couldn't disagree with you more. Mining production begins on the Strand and Kimberly Mines this spring as previously reported. This is not a financially crippled company like most early stage miners who's only option is to dilute to pay the bills.
These guys have proven in other engagements that they know how to package and present to obtain the best financing possible.
With the current share structure they can only go to 200,000,000 shares and if you get what you pay for and get to production, hooray!
If you were watching recently another company NSR* put together a little drill assay report on another property and promoted the pps from sub penny to over $1.70 in six weeks. I can't see where the resource is substantiated.
There are lots of junior miner exploration stage companies that have excellent proven resources and need the financing to get to the next step and to production. As you know this is not an easy to bridge the gap.
This management team knows how to make it happen.
Good Luck and good Fortune.
Yep, I was aware of these guys when I owned US Silver. (I've long since taken profits on than one).
The property does look good and ready to produce. PENA is on the bid and that's good....even though the bid looks thin all the way down. (All that is deceptive, no doubt)
The NITE roadblock at .18 looks formidable, but we all know SHSH is not for day trading.

Established in 1969 as a silver exploration, development and production company, Shoshone Silver/Gold is located in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho. Shoshone operated its Lakeview District mines and Lakeview mill in northern Idaho successfully producing silver, gold, and base metals for much of the decade that followed.
With the decline of silver and other metal prices in the 1980's, Shoshone began to focus on acquiring new properties and diversifying its interests while still developing its Lakeview properties. During this period of time the Company remained viable when many other mining companies had to close their doors. Shoshone increased its inventory of mining equipment for the future and kept its corporate debt level to a minimum.
In April of 2010, Shoshone regained the status of being a production company once more. Shoshone signed a contract with Teck Metals, LTD in Trail, British Columbia to process the silver concentrates being produced by Shoshone's Lakeview, Idaho mill. The first shipment of silver concentrates was shipped up to Trail on April 15, 2010 for smelting.
In 2009 the Company acquired Kimberly Gold Mines, Inc. and its exceptional portfolio of gold properties in central Idaho and central Washington. After the addition of the Kimberly gold properties to Shoshone's existing gold properties the Company changed its name from Shoshone Silver Mining Company to Shoshone Silver/Gold Mining Company. In late 2009 Shoshone leased 35 patented mining claims known as the "Camp Project" claims from Merger Mines Corporation. These claims are located in the heart of Idaho's famous "Silver Valley".
Shoshone is a company with an impressive portfolio of properties
including approximately 2,992 acres (1,211 hectares) in its "Silver Division",
approximately 2,125 acres (896 hectares) in its "Gold Division", and
approximately 200 acres (80 hectares) of "Potential Platinum" properties.
Shoshone has two operational ore processing mills, one for silver and one
for gold, minimal corporate debt, a large inventory of mining equipment
owned by the company, and top management with over 106 years of mining
industry experience.

On March 12, 2009, we acquired certain assets from Kimberly Gold Mines, Inc. ("Kimberly") in a transaction where the Company issued 12,145,306 shares of common stock and other consideration in exchange for 100% of Kimberly's common stock. Included in this acquisition were 127 unpatented mining claims located primarily in Idaho and Washington as well as a mill in need of refurbishing and various pieces of equipment.
Work at the Rescue Mine will resume on June 1, 2010. The first priority is to finish upgrading and renovating the mill. Once the mill work is completed, the mill will be started up and test runs on stockpiled ore will be conducted. The 200 level portal is scheduled to be reopened so that mine development can resume. This work will require some ground support, general clean up, the installation of a refuge station and the addition of air and water lines. A new decline portal has been planned to access the Rescue vein 1,000 feet east of the mill. Road work, site preparation and collaring off for the new decline portal should be accomplished this summer. This new decline portal will provide access to unmined portions of the Rescue vein and, when completed, will serve as the secondary escape-way from the mine as well as the exhaust ventilation drift for the mine ventilation system.
