Shorts still refuse to cover
Foolish shorts
Are we going to hear news today?
I expect the formality to take less than 30 mins.
All rise!
Court is in session!
The Honorable Judge Drain presiding!
On our docket today and Monday is the buyout offer for Sears and Kmart at $5.2 Billion!!
If no objections, so ordered!!

Where has there been any official or unofficial rumors of Sears and Amazon linking up? If it's just a wild imagination, people should calm down and realize the world doesn't revolve around their portfolios.
It is the most logical next step for BEZO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would seriously cut down on their overall costs to have a touch and feel store as well as a product pick up and one stop shopping.
I have suggested this is what is taking place here for over 3 weeks now
And truly believe this is exactly what is taking place here.
Shorts may really want to RETUNK their positions here and do it in a hurry up
I guess no one else could read that ownership update it might just be me but if it was great why no volume and this junk is lower then it was to start the week lol OVER!
I suppose volume will tell us how that goes.
e
Amazon can get in on the cheap.
Court begins in 20 minutes :)
I honestly feel like Bezos is looking to take on Walmart with a Wholefoods/Amazon products store front using SEARS as the front.
You're at the right place this time Andy!
Looks like they got there shares increased as well! Deals already done, media just throwing dirt on it to make it look good!
I agree, I believe Wholefoods in SEARS is already becoming a reality. I meant that on top of Wholefoods.
how about whole foods? amd sell big ticket items like tv's tools and appliances ans cloths
I'm outside hiding behind the fake bushes of the courthouse ready to record
They are just going through the motions. It's standard practice for them to get involved in these cases, otherwise they'd be irrelevant.
All the while Sears could and should focus on their bread n' butter...appliances and hardware.
Important thing to remember about the PBGC below. They are not altruists looking out for the employees pensions; they are looking out for themselves, and they will be just fine.
“The PBGC get no taxpayer dollars but is instead funded by insurance premiums and recoveries from failed plans.”

45 minutes until showtime!!
Your right in track ~ lcbm68
Just a guess, but what if Amazon uses SEARS store fronts to sell Amazon products? They have been buying all kinds of companies to sell their own brand of products. IMO.
Judge has approved the sell long ago on his mind. Today is just confirmation of it...
Very quick hearing and signing...
Shorts are so screwed. Better cover
Someone may have already said this so I don't want to retrace. I was thinking about Amazon and how they could benefit not just from taking over certain Sears locations and turning them into Whole Foods or a scaled down version as part of the store, with potentially a mini version of Sears with best selling Sears products attached.
This would allow Amazon to utilize Sears prime, high traffic locations for grocery sales, but also as pick up points for Amazon Prime customers for their goods.
They could even use their huge warehouse capacity around the country and shipping optimization to assist Sears with online business and ship their products to customers via Prime service.
Many potentially viable revenue streams the two companies could look at which would make sense for Sears sustainability.
Will be interesting to see how this all plays out over the next few months.
Peace.
CF
Good catch. I believe it will reemerge in tact.
Yup hold up the price so Eddie can sell between.505 and .52 boy next week should be fun for shorts !!!!
Short squeeze coming soon imo:)!
True, but I was more interested in the last paragraph of the article talking about how it is unlikely the judge would reject Lamperts proposal being its the only bid to keep SEARS going.
Dollar land imminent
Pension gets funded by insurance claim, unsecured creditors get what has been set aside for them, 50,000 people keep there job, communities keep there store, diehard lives on, Kenmore lives on, the IT department is a huge hit, and remaining Sears is left with less over head more working capital and a smaller footprint and of course commons stay intact! I think it's a win, win, win overall!
Is that what he's on ? How do you know ? Where is SHLDQ headed ? Where's the crack ? All these questions I have
Super short squeeze coming
$$$$$&
most bankruptcies the pensions are wiped out especially if the company forced the employees to buy its stock at much higher prices under the it's an employee benefit program. Alot of pension plans are supposed to be independently owned and operated separately from the company.
If the company is ripped apart and disolved the pension plan is done for and wont matter because there will be no company to make up the short fall.
The pension plan is probably going to be wiped out in some form regardless of what options are pursued.
I keep seeing 2 different dates for the court hearing. Today and Monday. Which is it?
Absolutely agree with your post!! Good Job!
