Someone may have already said this so I don't want to retrace. I was thinking about Amazon and how they could benefit not just from taking over certain Sears locations and turning them into Whole Foods or a scaled down version as part of the store, with potentially a mini version of Sears with best selling Sears products attached.
This would allow Amazon to utilize Sears prime, high traffic locations for grocery sales, but also as pick up points for Amazon Prime customers for their goods.
They could even use their huge warehouse capacity around the country and shipping optimization to assist Sears with online business and ship their products to customers via Prime service.
Many potentially viable revenue streams the two companies could look at which would make sense for Sears sustainability.
Will be interesting to see how this all plays out over the next few months.
