Movie, series being filmed in Butte
The Montana Standard staff Oct 30, 2020 Updated Oct 30, 2020
Film crews are in Butte shooting an upcoming movie called “Please, Baby Please,” and an apparent TV series called “Bring on the Dancing Horses.”
County officials and other contacts have been tight-lipped about the productions, but the Montana Department of Commerce referred The Montana Standard to a story in the Hollywood news publication Deadline discussing the movie.
The Rivulet Media movie stars Demi Moore (Indecent Proposal) Harry Melling (Harry Potter), Karl Glusman (Greyhound) and Andrea Riseborough (Birdman) and filming is underway, according to a Wednesday story in Deadline.
“The film follows newlyweds Suze and Arthur who, after witnessing a murder in the gritty streets of a surreal 1950s Manhattan, become the dangerous obsession of a greaser gang that awakens a sleeping quandary about the couple’s sexual identity,” Deadline says.
The film is being directed by author and theater veteran Amanda Kramer (Ladyworld), and is based on a script by Kramer and Noel David Taylor.
Deadline says veteran producer Rob Paris (I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives In The House) has been tapped as president of Rivulet Media’s film division and will produce "Please Baby Please,'' alongside Gül Karakiz (The Last Laugh) and Mike Witherill (John Wick).
“Please Baby Please'' is a wildly inventive and groundbreaking piece that has become a labor of intense love for some of the most amazing actors working today,” Paris says in the story. “And with diversification across all genres being key to our acquisition and production strategy, we couldn’t imagine a better coming out party.”
Another production being filmed in and around Butte is called “Bring on the Dancing Horses.”
According to an online story in Big World News, actress Kate Bosworth works on movies and TV shows with her director husband Michael Polish and “they are currently working on a series called 'Bring on the Dancing Horses.'”
According to information a location manager provided to Butte-Silver Bow commissioners, Polish has a family history in Butte and “has a deep love of Montana and specifically Butte.”
Details of the production were not provided in the missive to commissioners, but it said filming would take place in such places as the Copper King Mansion, Matt’s Diner, Gamer’s and the Silver Bow Drive-in.
Joe Willauer, executive director of the Butte Local Development Corp., said Thursday, "This is great for Butte's economy. It fills hotel rooms at a time when we really need it. We look forward to attracting more productions."
The productions have included some temporary road closures and according to the state Department of Commerce, “productions across the country are all working under very strict filming protocols due to the pandemic, so sets are generally closed to folks who aren’t working directly on the project.”
I owned a .003 stock that went to $2 (I wasnt in it at the time) so $5 from here is nothing with a few more name dropping film projects, AND actually doing it, without Koosing us with dilution!
All we need is 5$ a share!

Rivulet Media Launches With First Production ‘Please Baby Please’, Starring Demi Moore, Harry Melling, Karl Glusman & Andrea Riseborough
By Andreas Wiseman
October 28, 2020 10:15am
LA-based Rivulet Media is launching with first movie Please Baby Please, which will star Demi Moore (Indecent Proposal), Harry Melling (Harry Potter ), Karl Glusman (Greyhound) and the previously announced Andrea Riseborough (Birdman). Filming is under way in Butte, Montana.
The film follows newlyweds Suze and Arthur who, after witnessing a murder in the gritty streets of a surreal 1950s Manhattan, become the dangerous obsession of a greaser gang that awakens a sleeping quandary about the couple’s sexual identity.
As announced last year, the film is being directed by author and theater veteran Amanda Kramer (Ladyworld), and based on a script by Kramer and Noel David Taylor. Maya Hawke and Charlie Plummer were previously attached.
Veteran producer Rob Paris (I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives In The House) has been tapped as President of Rivulet Media’s film division and will produce Please Baby Please alongside Gül Karakiz (The Last Laugh) and Mike Witherill (John Wick).
Rivulet Media recently launched as a publicly traded company with Witherill and Arizona real estate investor Aaron Klusman serving as COO and CEO respectively. The firm is backed by a consortium of investors led by early Peloton backer Larry Silver who will executive produce Please Baby Please along with David Silver under their Silver Bullet Entertainment banner.
In a recent memo to shareholders, Rivulet Chairman Aaron Klusman outlined how the company will focus on content acquisition and investment in film, TV, and music production.
Rivulet’s Klusman and Witherill said: “Content is without question one of the most exciting growth sectors in the world today. Larry Silver brilliantly identified the convergence of technology and bespoke content in Peloton and we are thrilled that he sees a similar opportunity in Rivulet.”
Paris added: “Please Baby Please is a wildly inventive and groundbreaking piece that has become a labor of intense love for some of the most amazing actors working today. And with diversification across all genres being key to our acquisition and production strategy, we couldn’t imagine a better coming out party.”
Moore is represented by CAA, Untitled Entertainment and Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown & Passman. Harry Melling is repped by Curtis Brown Group and Paradigm. Karl Glusman is represented by WME and Ilene Feldman Management.

SEC Tightens Rule on OTC Issuer Information Disclosure
By Terry Flanagan -September 17, 2020
All it takes is a dollar (stock) and a dream.
That’s the mindset of many — possibly too many — retail investors who trade stocks over the counter. The OTC market is lightly regulated compared with NYSE and Nasdaq, and the securities are speculative. But there’s always the chance that dicey biotech, oil-exploration or cannabis firm that trades at $1 now will be $20 in a year.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday took a step to make the wild west of the OTC market a little less wild by adopting an amended rule that bars broker-dealers from providing public price quotations on companies that have not provided current information about their business or their financials.
In a Wednesday afternoon telephone interview with Traders Magazine, Brett Redfearn, Director of the SEC’s Division of Trading and Markets, said that currently, about 3,000 of the 10,000 companies that trade OTC are in arrears on filing disclosure reports, to the extent that it would preclude broker-dealers from making public markets in their stocks.
“The bottom line is we’re trying to reduce the risk of fraud and manipulation and protect mainstream investors,” Redfearn said. “The idea is to say, “Get that financial information out there if you want to continue to be quoted in the same way.”
“We think this will allow retail investors to make better informed investment decisions, which will aid in reducing fraud in the over-the-counter market,” Redfearn said, citing ‘pump and dump’ schemes and other sketchy activity that tends to happen in OTC.
Redfearn noted that SEC already requires broker-dealers to review basic financial information of a company before initiating OTC price quotations, but there are loopholes such as the “piggyback rule,” which allows broker-dealers to sign off on information received from another broker, rather than directly from the issuer. The rule amendment disallows this by requiring that information come directly from the issuer, and be no more than one year old.
With the amended rule, the SEC has relaxed requirements for certain OTC securities issuers with actively traded securities whose information is more readily available, where there’s less concern about fraud. Also, “we recognize that not all issuers of quoted OTC securities do provide current publicly available financial information, so the commission going forward will consider requests for exemptive relief in certain circumstances,” Redfearn said. “Some of those circumstances could include limiting quoting to a market specifically for sophisticated or professional investors.”
In a release, the SEC said it “adopted amendments to Exchange Act Rule 15c2-11, an important component of the over-the-counter (“OTC”) market regulatory structure. The amendments are designed to modernize the rule, which was last substantively amended nearly thirty years ago, including to recognize advances in communications technologies. The amended rule enhances disclosure and investor protection in the OTC market by ensuring that broker-dealers, in their role as professional gatekeepers to this market, do not publish quotations for an issuer’s security when current issuer information is not publicly available, subject to certain exceptions.”

Rivulet Films Announces Michael Berry to Helm TV Series “Avenue of the Americas”
Gilbert, AZ - Rivulet Films announces director Michael Berry to direct a new TV series Avenue of the Americas. Michael Berry’s director credits include TV Series, Chicago Med and feature films Frontera and Stuck. Mike Witherill will produce the series and is known for his work as a producer in the films John Wick & Drinking Buddies.
Avenue of the Americas is a television dramatic series based on historical fiction placing one family in the center of historic events, along with the leaders of that time, from the American Revolutionary War, American Civil War and World War I, to navigate the fight for civil rights.
“We are excited to announce Michael Berry as director on Avenue of the Americas. It is our third project together and we always value the unique insight he brings to each project. Avenue of the Americas stands to be the first series in an ever expanding historical fiction collection that tells the iconic storylines of the most famous streets in America, think ‘Boardwalk Empire’ meets ‘Downtown Abbey,’ shares Aaron Klusman, CEO.
“I was intrigued and excited to work on this project the moment I heard about it. Pete Rosen’s brilliant concept of following these same characters throughout history as they experience and adjust to the need, politics, business and culture that surrounds the history of the business of guns is beyond fascinating. For better and sometimes worse, America has long identified with and romanticized as a gun culture. In Avenue of the Americas, I see the opportunity to explore the history and drama on both sides of this very difficult and divisive issue,” states Michael Berry, Director.

Bit of excitement for ole BMSN, as opposed to years of blah!
I want to give this time and see where it goes, I'll live with it either way, I have had this forever already, so what ever it does is fine with me. I don't have anything in it really.
Agreed. Who knows what kind of deal Witherill is negotiating for the new Wick film under this new company....
We both made money in the beginning I'm sure, now the question is , take the 100s and a loss, or see if it breaks even, which I doubt.
Me either and the best is coming i think. John Wick is big business!
It is very odd but I am not complaining
Don't think a lot of people know about this yet!
Monster $1+ coming... BMSN
Too bad this couldn’t happen under kkonman koos. I’d be a millionaire several times over now at This pps. Let’s all hope koos is taking a dirt nap now.
