Retail Pro's Annual Business Partner/User Conference Rocks
LA JOLLA, Calif., Sep 24, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Retail Pro, Inc. (Pink Sheets:RTPR) concluded its annual Business Partner/User Conference 'Ready to Rock' on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown San Diego. Retail Pro is a leading software provider to the retail community represented by a global business partner channel. The conference consisted of two days of sessions and training for Retail Pro business partners, with an additional two days devoted to Retail Pro end users. Retail Pro's Synaro(R) division ran complimentary sessions for its users. A tradeshow of strategic alliance partners ran concurrently to the conference sessions.
"We are pleased with the level of attendance, both from our channel partners and our end users, at this year's annual conference," said Don Radcliffe, CEO of Retail Pro. "The conference is an opportunity for Retail Pro to share its directives and initiatives for the coming year, as well as to build upon our relationships in a fun atmosphere. Retail Pro enjoys one of the most respected and successful retail reseller channels in the world. Our end user roster is comprised of some of the world's best known brands across America and spanning the globe."
Radcliffe continued, "Retail Pro is serious about the mutual success of its resellers and end users. This year we will launch our 'Gateway to the Future' and 'No Customer Left Behind' initiatives to address their needs in a weakening global marketplace. Our annual conference provides the forum not only to showcase Retail Pro's development direction but to receive firsthand feedback from the channel and end user."
The No Customer Left Behind and Gateway to the Future initiatives address the needs of the installation base of Retail Pro users across the globe. Acknowledging Retail Pro's v8 world-wide presence with customers in 73 countries, serving 45,000+ store locations, thousands of personnel and over 320 certified technicians, these initiatives recognize the strengths of Retail Pro(R) version 8 and will provide a bridge to Retail Pro(R) version 9. The Company will continue to invest in version 9 improvements while intensifying channel knowledge and skill sets to support the upgrade path. By using an incremental approach, Retail Pro Business Partners and Users can get the best of both worlds in RP8 and RP9.
The 2008 'Ready to Rock' Business Partner/User Conference was attended by about 100 individuals from its Channel Partners and over 100 users representing some of the world's most prestigious brands, from single store users to international conglomerates. A Business Partner panel shared their successes and answered questions relating to their experiences with Retail Pro(R).
"This year the conference was held at the Hard Rock Hotel in downtown San Diego. The venue was great and the presentations were very informative with, in particular, a great user panel. Our team left the conference with the comforting feeling that Retail Pro is still deemed to have a great future and we are all excited to be part of and contribute to that successful future," said Xavier Degryse, President of M.X. Data, Inc.
"I attended the Retail pro v8 Functionality Boot Camp," said Joanie Boyle of Benefit Cosmetics. "Although I'm a seasoned user, I came away wanting to further my knowledge by taking the Application Specialist certification on-line course. Sharing experiences and tips with Retail Pro users from other companies was also very beneficial."
Michael C. Treen, Director of Information Technology for Autom Church Supply, had this to say about his experience at the User conference, "The benefit of most user conferences is the ability to network with your peers and learn how others use features of the software to make their company more productive and/or profitable. This was another great conference that did just that."
Concurrent to the conference, an exhibitor hall was dedicated to Retail Pro's strategic sponsors including Arrow, Oracle, Arsenal Security Group/Fortex, UniteU Cpmmected Commerce, ScanSource, IBM, Shift4, Star Micronics, DataLogic, Ingram Micro, Retail Dimensions Inc, Quadrox, Fujitsu, Givex, QAS Experian, Citizen, Motorola/Symbol, NCR, PartnerTech, MS-Cashdrawer, Vanguard ID, Tidel, CrossCore, Honeywell, Citrix, BlueStar, NiceWare, and Ryjac.
