I found this analysis of Q-Gold Resources on another internet
forum, over at stockhouse.com. I have posted it because it summarizes well my thoughts on the stock. I have edited it for proper grammar, etc.

I think your wrong. This is why.

1. They already know where the gold is, they've been drilling in the places they doubt. Which is smart because they want to expand the mine there going to have. I think when management goes right after the places they know it's there, they could be selling themselves short. They already mined there and had a shaft and profited and the price of gold is much higher now then at that time, so common sense says why would you spend more money on drilling somewhere you know the gold is? Unless you're just trying to boost the stock price and I don't see these guys as those types, which is one reason I like them.

2. They don't spend a lot of money, most of the property they have acquired, has been through shares (printing money for property) so the liabilities on this corporation are nice and small and the assets are great.

3. There management is quite either experienced or beginning, which shows me these guys aren't really the type to crap on you. The guys who have made the money and been successful, wouldn't take years to just crap on us. If they wanted to they just bring out really good news and spend spend spend every cent they get. The new guys wouldn't join a corporation to crap on us, because it would ruin there future. Also if I read correctly they just issued shares.

4. The properties. I think they're very smart; they bought old mine shafts as the price of gold is going up from wars and the us dollar falling. They also acquired property, right beside rainy river, one of the new hottest places for gold in North America. It's quite obvious what their thinking is. They reopen the mines, drill out the property in rainy river while they're waiting. Even if they don't want to use the property themselves, being right beside a big discovery will bring up the value of the property. This can be very good when looking for financing through banks and such. If the corporation breaks down, they know that, the property can be sold easily and this will decrease the liability for lenders.

Good JOB Management. Anyone who bashes this corporation and management obviously is lacking in their corporation evaluation and probably doesn't have a lot of money anyway. So move on and lose your money to someone else. Stop bashing on our board day after day, obviously you're just trying the get some cheap shares and your not fooling anyone. Everyone can see that every year this stock falls down and rises back up. When they reopen Foley I'll be the one laughing my butt off to the bank.

Modern Exploration Program at Mine Centre

Q-Gold is now conducting the first modern, comprehensive exploration program at Mine Centre, where it hopes to prove up historical reports of gold “reserves” and discover new proven reserves to reactivate the historic Mine Centre Gold Camp, where gold was first discovered in the 1890's. The 2006 Exploration Program included a 1,500 line-kilometer DIGHEM/ MAG Airborne Survey that revealed over 20 anomalous geophysical targets. A ground geophysical program (Induced Polarization) was launched in early 2007 to further delineate a number of the anomalies prior to initiation of a 5,000 metre diamond drill program beginning in March. The 2007 Exploration Program, budgeted for $1.5 million, is fully-funded.


Q-Gold is currently exploring its 100% owned 32,000+ acre Archean Granite/ Greenstone Belt gold properties at Mine Centre.

Lightly explored properties contain many highly prospective gold targets and five historic gold mines, including two past producing gold mines, the Foley and Golden Star. These two mines produced 16,000+ ounces combined in the 1890's and 1930's; avg. gold grade 0.5 ounces/ton (oz/t). Three other mines, the Decca, Ferguson and Manhattan were never produced and will be further explored in 2007 / 2008.

Ontario Geologic Survey (OGS) historical reports cite “speculative reserves” at Foley Mine of 220,000 ounces of gold (not NI 43-101 compliant).

Company is de-watering the Foley Mine in preparation for underground exploration in late 2007 or early 2008.

100+ gold-bearing surface quartz veins contained within huge fissures in large felsic intrusive body, many of which are only lightly explored.

2005-06 Trenching/Sampling Program in the Foley Vein Complex yielded weighted average gold values on 5 principal veins ranging from 3.97 to 14.7 grams/tonne over strike lengths from 90 to 300+ metres, establishing the Foley Complex as a potentially important source of future gold production. At least 10 more large gold-bearing veins remain to be sampled and assayed.


Regional and cross-cutting faults provide 45+ km of shear-zones; many with co-incident electromagnetic (“EM”) and magnetic anomalies remain as gold targets as a result of 2006 Airborn EM/Mag survey.

Recent acquisition of assets of Nipigon Gold Resources Ltd. includes gold prospects, McKenzie Gray and Jolly Roger Veins.

Southerly location/ existing infrastructure (highway, rail, power and water) permit year-round operations and low exploration/ development costs.

Iron Ridge Project

2500+ acres recently acquired along western shore of Bad Vermilion Lake 5 km southwest of Mine Centre

Contains Platinum Group Element (PGE) prospects as well as Copper, Nickel, and Cobalt potential from large layered mafic intrusive bodies.

Includes large Magnetite/ Ilmenite (Titanium Oxide) deposit requiring further minerological testing.

Diamond drilling at Iron Ridge slated for Fall/ Winter 2007.

Typically, large share movements in price are followed by announcements of assays of the cores of soil samples from the "Jumbo" vein of the Foley mine. Q-Gold did some trench studies with these results:

Average Grade:
Gold = 3.97 g/t
Silver = 12.17 g/t
Zinc = 0.265% (weight)
Average width = 0.91 metre

The samples were assayed in 2006. The company did buy an old mine with workings, the Foley mine. In addition they have land near the Rainy River Gold mine, which is also promising. The Foley mine was owned by a family fro many years until management was able to convince them to sell it to Q-Gold. Many exploratory companies don't even have an old mine to hold claim on.

The company is presently dewatering the Foley mine and replacing the collars in the mine. Also we hope to hear of good drill assays from Rainy River this fall.

I like this one, although .17 seems a bit high for gold company with little or no actual production.

Looks like lots of potential, especially given the size of the contiguously owned/controlled properties.

I only noticed one small mill in the holdings, and couldn't locate it in relation to the rest of the claims.

Small Mill is a relative term, wonder what tpd, and or if accessible to most promising sites. Fully Permitted?" Is expansion practical?

Of the companies/claims acquired by Q-Gold resources, I wonder if there are reports, studies, engineering, equipment, and the like, that can still be considered as un-anticipated assets.

Will be interesting to watch this success(hopefully)story unfold.
