Usually front-loading unless said symbol moves within the next few days, takes up too 60 days.

4 to 6 weeks on average.

PAWS approx. 8 weeks

HINT: Look for symbols less traded, less recognized on a regular bases... there is where you'll see or have your best chances to discover unusual trading activity.

And if you scan back, most runs to .0048ish were less than 200k in volume the day of.

So how is it the 1.5mil didn't move this stock?

Here's an example further down of someone buying into a symbol before it's move... so the question is how do we know?

Over the years what I've come up with in regards to one of my trading strategies, [that is how to use a tool for a better success rate in symbol discovery], is the 10Day Moving Average Volume Chart.

Basically paying attention to volume during this period, and if you see lots of volume when you spot a symbol? Look back the previous 10 days, add that volume up, divide by 10... then see how that volume looks with volume the day spotted

1st, scan volume days and look for:
a.) Sets of volume days in a row
b.) Sets of no volume days in a row
c.) High / Low volume within those days
d.) Scan the price of low/high volume days for changes
There are many new discoveries made [formula's brought together] dependent upon how much time one spends looking at volume charts.

It's much like an x-ray a doctor shows you. Yes you understand what he's discussing when he points to something out, but when you see the x-ray it's not as visible to you as it is him because they spent 5 years learning the process.

What your looking for is volume disparity or 'the difference maker' over a period of time.

During trading hours I spotted EDXC with 852,500 traded on 1/23 and if you look back and could the previous 10 days.. the formula would look like this.

EDXC .002 853k verses [previous 10days = approx. 3500 shares divided by 10 = 350shares

Final Formula Posting:

EDXC .002 853kvs350_shares volume 10day avg.

Then when you divide the 350shares into the volume day of spotting that's extreme, very very extreme.

Most of the time I'm looking for 7x to 10x the 10day average volume, and especially this [take note.... without a PPS change or very little].

Now go back and look what happens, after that .002 day it ran to .088 as a high on 2/20. Nice gain hey? :)

But, if you go back even further on historical when was the really first day EDXC started to make recent change before what I call the event.

An event is something that takes place, i.e. news, strong rumor coming, promo.. anything coming down the pipeline that will move a symbol when it looks like someone has front-loaded.

How about the 182k day?
Going back 10 days from there, what would the formula look like?

As a matter of fact go ahead and add up the 20k and the 30k on 12/18 then divide those days with the 50k total volume.

Then use the 182k as the day of spotting.

It would be:
EDXC .0088 182k < we are using the closing price the day spotted here because it's after hours< verses 50k divided by 10days = 5k

Final Formula:
EDXC .0088 192k vs 5k_vol 10dayavg

Now divided the 5k into the 192k = 26x

That means you had 26 times move activity on the day spotted then the previous 10 days. Or on one day's activity you had 26 times more activity that the previous 10days.

If I was watching, this would have been my first clue, but was mobile that day.

Consider this when thinking about news, rumors, promo's, etc.... It's it true that some buys before you do? Yes
If I knew a company had news, or stuck oil, or anything under the sun that would move a stock... I would buy before others.

There's always someone, or some entity that knows more than we do at any given time, about any given stock.... and for the most part tries to load quietly without an alert going off, especially a price per share move.

Those are the basic's.......

GM, when PPS meets volume-surge and the .20c+ mark moves up I wouldn't touch this one. The possibility behind the 15mil traded in the last two days being active for said group and their promo friends is high IMO.

Don't forget their motto:
Sell when everyone is buying and buy when everyone else is selling. Actually, more often it is, sell when everyone else is buying, completely exit the play, and go find something else for them to buy later.
It may even be:
Start shorting your deal when you've sold out your entire position so you can score even more profit on the way down.

Was mobile most of the day, that's why I didn't catch it trading. I'm positive with that many shares traded Time_Sales in conjunction with L2 would have told the story.

If DMHI sets idle for a few days, and very little trading... that's another bonus point in figuring out the first-strategy leading to the next and launch therein.

Having this much up front volume... and the amount invested [not meaning to say all volume is now held], one would think a 10x investment would take care of their risk.

Read the DMHI board there have been some pre promo email alerts that hit since yesterday. They are posted on the board in the last couple of posts and we had them this AM and yesterday but just links. Someone actually posted them out for you so you can read them easily. IMO based on the wording DMHI is the next VM promo and it will be a big one.
